युद्धभूमि में जैसे घोड़े की मालिश की जाती है, उसी प्रकार यज्ञ में शब्द करने वाले, देवों के मनचाहे, देवों में श्रेष्ठ एवं स्तुतियों के स्वामी सोम स्लुतियों के साथ निर्मित किए जाते हैं. सगी बहिनों के समान दस उंगलियां यज्ञशाला की ओर फल ढोने वाले सोम को भेड़ों के बालों से बने दशापवित्र रूपी ऊंचे स्थान की ओर प्रेरित करती हैं.
