त्वम॑ग्ने॒ वसू॑ँरि॒ह रु॒द्राँ आ॑दि॒त्याँ उ॒त । यजा॑ स्वध्व॒रं जनं॒ मनु॑जातं घृत॒प्रुष॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम इस अनुष्ठान में वसुओं, रुद्रों और आदित्यों का यजन करो. तुम शोभन यज्ञ करने वाले, प्रजापति मनु द्वारा उत्पादित एवं जल सींचने वालों की भी अर्चना करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You worship vasus, rudras and adityas in this ritual. You should also worship those who perform Shobhan Yajna, those who produce prajapati manu and water. (1)
श्रु॒ष्टी॒वानो॒ हि दा॒शुषे॑ दे॒वा अ॑ग्ने॒ विचे॑तसः । तान्रो॑हिदश्व गिर्वण॒स्त्रय॑स्त्रिंशत॒मा व॑ह ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! विशेष बुद्धि वाले देवता हव्य देने वाले यजमान को फल देते हैं. हे रोहित अश्व के स्वामी एवं स्तुतिपात्र अग्नि! तुम तेतीस देवों को यहां ले आओ. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! The gods with special intellects give fruit to the host who gives the havan. O Rohita, lord of the horse and the praiseworthy agni! Bring thirty-three gods here. (2)
प्रि॒य॒मे॒ध॒वद॑त्रि॒वज्जात॑वेदो विरूप॒वत् । अ॒ङ्गि॒र॒स्वन्म॑हिव्रत॒ प्रस्क॑ण्वस्य श्रुधी॒ हव॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अनेक कर्म करने वाले एवं सर्वज्ञ अग्नि! प्रियमेधा, अत्रि, विरूप और अंगिरा नामक ऋषियों के समान प्रस्कण्व की पुकार भी सुनो. (३)
EN English Translation
O many doers and omniscient agni! Listen to the call of the present like the sages named Priyamedha, Atri, Virup and Angira. (3)
महि॑केरव ऊ॒तये॑ प्रि॒यमे॑धा अहूषत । राज॑न्तमध्व॒राणा॑म॒ग्निं शु॒क्रेण॑ शो॒चिषा॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्रौढ़कर्मा एवं प्रिय यज्ञों से सुशोभित ऋषियों ने अपनी रक्षा के लिए यज्ञ के मध्य शुद्ध प्रकाश द्वारा चमकने वाले अग्नि का आह्वान किया था. (४)
EN English Translation
The sages adorned with the adult karma and beloved yagnas had called for a agni shining by pure light in the middle of the yajna to protect themselves. (4)
घृता॑हवन सन्त्ये॒मा उ॒ षु श्रु॑धी॒ गिरः॑ । याभिः॒ कण्व॑स्य सू॒नवो॒ हव॒न्तेऽव॑से त्वा ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे घृत द्वारा बुलाए गए एवं फलप्रद अग्नि! कण्व के पुत्र तुम्हें जिन वचनों से अपनी रक्षा के लिए बुलाते थे, हमारे द्वारा प्रयुज्यमान उन्हीं वचनों को सुनो. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni called by the awful and fruitful agni! Listen to the words from which the sons of Kanva used to call you to protect yourselves, the words we used. (5)
त्वां चि॑त्रश्रवस्तम॒ हव॑न्ते वि॒क्षु ज॒न्तवः॑ । शो॒चिष्के॑शं पुरुप्रि॒याग्ने॑ ह॒व्याय॒ वोळ्ह॑वे ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे विविध हविरूप अन्नयुक्त एवं यजमानों के प्रियकारक अग्नि! तुम्हारी चमकीली लपटें तुम्हारे केश हैं. यजमान तुम्हें हव्य-वहन करने के लिए बुलाते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O various elephants, the food-rich and beloved agni of the hosts! Your bright flames are your hairstyle. Hosts call you to carry the hawd. (6)
नि त्वा॒ होता॑रमृ॒त्विजं॑ दधि॒रे व॑सु॒वित्त॑मम् । श्रुत्क॑र्णं स॒प्रथ॑स्तमं॒ विप्रा॑ अग्ने॒ दिवि॑ष्टिषु ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! बुद्धिमान् लोग आह्वान करने वाले, ऋतुओं में यज्ञ संपन्न करने वाले, विविध धन प्राप्त कराने वाले, श्रवण समर्थ कानों से युक्त एवं अत्यंत प्रसिद्ध तुमको यज्ञों में धारण करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O God of agni! The wise ones who invoke, those who perform the yagna in the seasons, those who receive various wealth, those with hearing-sounding ears and the most famous ones hold you in the yagnas. (7)
आ त्वा॒ विप्रा॑ अचुच्यवुः सु॒तसो॑मा अ॒भि प्रयः॑ । बृ॒हद्भा बिभ्र॑तो ह॒विरग्ने॒ मर्ता॑य दा॒शुषे॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले बुद्धिमान् ऋत्विज् हव्यदाता यजमान के लिए तुम्हें अन्न के समीप बुलाते हैं. तुम महान् एवं तेजस्वी हो. (८)
EN English Translation
O agni! The wise sages who squeeze the somras call you near the grain for the host. You are great and brilliant. (8)
प्रा॒त॒र्याव्णः॑ सहस्कृत सोम॒पेया॑य सन्त्य । इ॒हाद्य दैव्यं॒ जनं॑ ब॒र्हिरा सा॑दया वसो ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे काष्ठबल द्वारा मथित, फलदाता एवं निवास हेतु अग्नि! इस देवयज्ञ में आज प्रातःकाल आने वाले देवों एवं उनसे संबंधित अन्य जनों को सोमपान के लिए कुशों पर बुलाओ. (९)
EN English Translation
O agni for the lord, the fruit-giver and the abode by the wooden power! In this devyagna, call the gods and other people related to them to the Kushas for sompan today. (9)
अ॒र्वाञ्चं॒ दैव्यं॒ जन॒मग्ने॒ यक्ष्व॒ सहू॑तिभिः । अ॒यं सोमः॑ सुदानव॒स्तं पा॑त ति॒रोअ॑ह्न्यम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! अपने सामने उपस्थित देवों एवं उनसे संबंधित अन्य जनों के समान आह्वानों के द्वारा यजन करो. हे शोभन दान करने वाले देवो! जो सोमरस तुम्हारे निमित्त पिछले दिन निचोड़ा गया है, सामने उपस्थित उस सोमरस का पान करो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O agni! Pray by the same invocations as the gods before you and others related to them. O god who donating! Drink the somras that have been squeezed for you the previous day, the somras present in front of you. (10)
