दे॒वान्हु॑वे बृ॒हच्छ्र॑वसः स्व॒स्तये॑ ज्योति॒ष्कृतो॑ अध्व॒रस्य॒ प्रचे॑तसः । ये वा॑वृ॒धुः प्र॑त॒रं वि॒श्ववे॑दस॒ इन्द्र॑ज्येष्ठासो अ॒मृता॑ ऋता॒वृधः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं अधिक अन्न वाले, आदित्यतेज के कर्त्ता, उत्तम ज्ञान वाले, इंद्रप्रमुख, मरणरहित व यज्ञ के द्वारा प्रवृद्ध देवों को इसलिए बुलाता हूं कि मेरा यज्ञ बिना विघ्नों के समाप्त हो सके. (१)
EN English Translation
I call upon the gods with more food, the doer of Adityatej, the best of knowledge, the indrapramukh, the unpaired and the ones inspired by the yagna, so that my yajna can end without interruptions. (1)
इन्द्र॑प्रसूता॒ वरु॑णप्रशिष्टा॒ ये सूर्य॑स्य॒ ज्योति॑षो भा॒गमा॑न॒शुः । म॒रुद्ग॑णे वृ॒जने॒ मन्म॑ धीमहि॒ माघो॑ने य॒ज्ञं ज॑नयन्त सू॒रयः॑ ॥ (२)

हम इंद्र द्वारा प्रेरित, वरुण द्वारा अनुमोदित, ज्योतिर्मय सूर्य के मार्ग को व्याप्त करने वाले एवं शत्रुनाशक मरुतों की स्तुति करते हैं. हे विद्वान् यजमान! उन्हीं इंद्र पुत्र मरुतों के लिए हम यज्ञ की तैयारी करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
We praise the maruts inspired by Indra, approved by Varuna, who pervaded the path of the sun and the enemy. O scholarly gentleman! For the same Indra's son Maruts, we prepare for the yagna. (2)
इन्द्रो॒ वसु॑भिः॒ परि॑ पातु नो॒ गय॑मादि॒त्यैर्नो॒ अदि॑तिः॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतु । रु॒द्रो रु॒द्रेभि॑र्दे॒वो मृ॑ळयाति न॒स्त्वष्टा॑ नो॒ ग्नाभिः॑ सुवि॒ताय॑ जिन्वतु ॥ (३)

इंद्र वसुओं के साथ हमारे घर की रक्षा करें. अदिति देवों के साथ हमारा कल्याण करें. रुद्रदेव मरुतों के साथ हमें सुखी करें. त्वष्टा अपनी पत्नियों के साथ हमें अभ्युदय के लिए प्रसन्न करें. (३)
EN English Translation
Protect our home with Indra Vasus. May Aditi do us well with the devas. May Rudradev make us happy with the maruts. May the tattva please us with your wives for abhyudaya. (3)
अदि॑ति॒र्द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी ऋ॒तं म॒हदिन्द्रा॒विष्णू॑ म॒रुतः॒ स्व॑र्बृ॒हत् । दे॒वाँ आ॑दि॒त्याँ अव॑से हवामहे॒ वसू॑न्रु॒द्रान्स॑वि॒तारं॑ सु॒दंस॑सम् ॥ (४)

अदिति, द्यावा-पृथिवी, महान् सत्य, इंद्र, विष्णु, मरुत्, विस्तृत स्वर्ग, देवों, आदित्यों, वसुओं, रुद्रों और उत्तम दान करने वाले सूर्य को हम अपनी रक्षा के लिए बुलाते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
We call aditi, dyava-prithvivi, great truth, indra, vishnu, desert, vast heaven, devas, adityas, vasus, rudras and the sun that gives the best gifts to protect us. (4)
सर॑स्वान्धी॒भिर्वरु॑णो धृ॒तव्र॑तः पू॒षा विष्णु॑र्महि॒मा वा॒युर॒श्विना॑ । ब्र॒ह्म॒कृतो॑ अ॒मृता॑ वि॒श्ववे॑दसः॒ शर्म॑ नो यंसन्त्रि॒वरू॑थ॒मंह॑सः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बुद्धि से युक्त सागर, व्रत धारण करने वाले वरुण, पूषा, महत्त्वयुक्त विष्णु, वायु, अश्विनीकुमार व स्तोता को अन्न देने वाले, मरणरहित, सर्वज्ञ व पापनाशक देवगण हमें तीन मंजिल वाला मकान दें. (५)
EN English Translation
Give us a three-storey house, the godless, the omniscient and sinless, the god who gave food to the fasting ocean, the worshiper, the worshiper, the important Vishnu, vayu, ashwinikumar and the stota. (5)
वृषा॑ य॒ज्ञो वृष॑णः सन्तु य॒ज्ञिया॒ वृष॑णो दे॒वा वृष॑णो हवि॒ष्कृतः॑ । वृष॑णा॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी ऋ॒ताव॑री॒ वृषा॑ प॒र्जन्यो॒ वृष॑णो वृष॒स्तुभः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञ हमारी कामनाएं पूरी करें. यज्ञ के पात्र देवगण हमारी अभिलाषा पूरी करने वाले हों. देवगण, हव्य संग्रह करने वाले, यज्ञयुक्त ऋतावरी, पर्जन्य और स्तोता सब हमारी कामना करें. (६)
EN English Translation
May the yajna fulfill our wishes. May the characters of the yajna be the ones who fulfill our desires. May the devas, the devotees, the yajna-ayatavari, the parjanya and the stota all wish us. (6)
अ॒ग्नीषोमा॒ वृष॑णा॒ वाज॑सातये पुरुप्रश॒स्ता वृष॑णा॒ उप॑ ब्रुवे । यावी॑जि॒रे वृष॑णो देवय॒ज्यया॒ ता नः॒ शर्म॑ त्रि॒वरू॑थं॒ वि यं॑सतः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अभीष्टदाता एवं बहुतों द्वारा प्रशंसित अग्नि व सोम की स्तुति मैं अन्न पाने के लिए करता हूं. ऋत्विज् यज्ञ में हव्यों द्वारा उनकी पूजा करते हैं. वे हमें तीन मंजिल वाला मकान दें. (७)
EN English Translation
I praise agni and som, the wisher and admired by many, to get food. They worship them through the havyas in the Ritwij yajna. They give us a three-story house. (7)
धृ॒तव्र॑ताः क्ष॒त्रिया॑ यज्ञनि॒ष्कृतो॑ बृहद्दि॒वा अ॑ध्व॒राणा॑मभि॒श्रियः॑ । अ॒ग्निहो॑तार ऋत॒सापो॑ अ॒द्रुहो॒ऽपो अ॑सृज॒न्ननु॑ वृत्र॒तूर्ये॑ ॥ (८)

ब्रतपालन में तत्पर, शक्तिशाली, यज्ञ को अलंकृत करने वाले, महान् तेजस्वी, यज्ञ में सम्मिलित होने वाले, अन्ने द्वारा बुलाए हुए एवं सत्य के पात्र देवों ने वृत्रयुद्ध के समय जल की रचना की. (८)
EN English Translation
The gods, who were quick, powerful, ornate in the fastening of the earth, the great bright, the ones who participated in the yajna, those who were called by the anne and the characters of the truth, created the water at the time of the war of victory. (8)
द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी ज॑नयन्न॒भि व्र॒ताप॒ ओष॑धीर्व॒निना॑नि य॒ज्ञिया॑ । अ॒न्तरि॑क्षं॒ स्व१॒॑रा प॑प्रुरू॒तये॒ वशं॑ दे॒वास॑स्त॒न्वी॒३॒॑ नि मा॑मृजुः ॥ (९)

इंद्रादि देवों ने द्यावा-पृथिवी को लक्ष्य करके अपने कर्म से जल, ओषधियां, यज्ञ के उपयोग में आने वाली पलाश आदि की लकड़ियां बनाकर शत्रुओं से रक्षा के लिए स्वर्ग और आकाश को अपने तेज द्वारा पूर्ण कर दिया. देवों ने अभिलषित यज्ञ को अपने शरीरों में अलंकृत किया. (९)
EN English Translation
Indradi Devas targeted the Dyava-Prithvivi and completed the heavens and the sky by their glory by making wood of water, herbs, palash, etc. used in yajna, etc. from their karma. The devas adorned the abhilashit yajna in their bodies. (9)
ध॒र्तारो॑ दि॒व ऋ॒भवः॑ सु॒हस्ता॑ वातापर्ज॒न्या म॑हि॒षस्य॑ तन्य॒तोः । आप॒ ओष॑धीः॒ प्र ति॑रन्तु नो॒ गिरो॒ भगो॑ रा॒तिर्वा॒जिनो॑ यन्तु मे॒ हव॑म् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सुंदर हाथों वाले ऋभु स्वर्ग को धारण करने वाले हैं. वायु और बादल महान् शब्द करते हैं. जल और वनस्पतियां हमारी स्तुतियों को बढ़ावें. धन देने वाले भग एवं सूर्य हमारे यज्ञ में आवें. (१०)
EN English Translation
The beautiful-handed Rishi is going to hold heaven. Air and cloud make great words. May water and vegetation increase our praises. May the god and the sun give money come in our yajna. (10)
स॒मु॒द्रः सिन्धू॒ रजो॑ अ॒न्तरि॑क्षम॒ज एक॑पात्तनयि॒त्नुर॑र्ण॒वः । अहि॑र्बु॒ध्न्यः॑ शृणव॒द्वचां॑सि मे॒ विश्वे॑ दे॒वास॑ उ॒त सू॒रयो॒ मम॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सागर, सरिता, धूल से भरी धरती, अंतरिक्ष, अजएकपात्, गरजने वाला मेघ और अहिर्बुष्य मेरी पुकार सुनें. सभी देव एवं विद्धान् मेरी स्तुति सुनें. (११)
EN English Translation
Listen to my call to the sea, the stream, the dust-filled earth, the space, the ajakapat, the roaring cloud and the ahirbushya. All gods and scholars hear my praise. (11)
स्याम॑ वो॒ मन॑वो दे॒ववी॑तये॒ प्राञ्चं॑ नो य॒ज्ञं प्र ण॑यत साधु॒या । आदि॑त्या॒ रुद्रा॒ वस॑वः॒ सुदा॑नव इ॒मा ब्रह्म॑ श॒स्यमा॑नानि जिन्वत ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देव! हम मानव तुम्हें यज्ञ अर्पण करने वाले बनें. हमारे प्राचीन यज्ञ को तुम पूर्ण करो. हे आदित्यो, रुद्रपुत्र मरुतो एवं शोभन-दान वाले वसुओ! तुम इन उच्चरित स्तोत्रों को सुनो. (१२)
EN English Translation
Oh, God! Let us humans be the ones who offer you yajna. You complete our ancient yajna. O Adityas, Rudraputra Maruto and Shobhan-daan wala vasuo! You listen to these raised hymns. (12)
दैव्या॒ होता॑रा प्रथ॒मा पु॒रोहि॑त ऋ॒तस्य॒ पन्था॒मन्वे॑मि साधु॒या । क्षेत्र॑स्य॒ पतिं॒ प्रति॑वेशमीमहे॒ विश्वा॑न्दे॒वाँ अ॒मृता॒ँ अप्र॑युच्छतः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पुरोहितों में प्रमुख व देवों को बुलाने वाले अग्नि एवं आदित्य की सेवा मैं हव्य द्वारा करता हूं एवं विघ्नरहित होकर यज्ञमार्ग का अनुगमन करता हूं. मैं अपने समीपवर्ती, क्षेत्रपति, मरणरहित एवं प्रमादरहित सभी देवों से याचना करता हूं. (१३)
EN English Translation
I serve Agni and Aditya, the chief among the priests and those who call the gods, through Havya and follow the path of yajna without hindrance. I beseech all my near, regionalist, deathless and unpretentious gods. (13)
वसि॑ष्ठासः पितृ॒वद्वाच॑मक्रत दे॒वाँ ईळा॑ना ऋषि॒वत्स्व॒स्तये॑ । प्री॒ता इ॑व ज्ञा॒तयः॒ काम॒मेत्या॒स्मे दे॑वा॒सोऽव॑ धूनुता॒ वसु॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वसिष्ठ के पुत्रों ने अपने पिता के समान स्तुति की. उन्होंने अपने पिता के समान ही कल्याण पाने के लिए देवों की प्रशंसा की. प्रसन्न बांधव जिस प्रकार धन देते हैं, उसी प्रकार बुम हमारे सामने आकर हमारा अभिलषित धन हमारे समीप लाओ. (१४)
EN English Translation
Vasishtha's sons praised them like their fathers. They praised the gods for getting the same welfare as their fathers. Just as the happy brothers give money, in the same way that the bums come before us and bring our desired wealth to us. (14)
दे॒वान्वसि॑ष्ठो अ॒मृता॑न्ववन्दे॒ ये विश्वा॒ भुव॑ना॒भि प्र॑त॒स्थुः । ते नो॑ रासन्तामुरुगा॒यम॒द्य यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वसिष्ठ वंश में उत्पन्न ऋषि ने मरणरहित देवों की वंदना की है. वे देव सभी लोकों में स्थित हैं. वे हमें आज अधिक यश देने वाला अन्न दें. हे देवो! तुम कल्याणकारी साधनों द्वारा हमारी रक्षा करो. (१५)
EN English Translation
The sage born in the Vasishtha dynasty has worshipped the godless without death. They are located in all the realms of God. They give us more rewarding food today. Oh, God! You protect us by welfare means. (15)
