व॒यं ते॒ वय॑ इन्द्र वि॒द्धि षु णः॒ प्र भ॑रामहे वाज॒युर्न रथ॑म् । वि॒प॒न्यवो॒ दीध्य॑तो मनी॒षा सु॒म्नमिय॑क्षन्त॒स्त्वाव॑तो॒ नॄन् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जिस प्रकार अन्न का इच्छुक व्यक्ति गाड़ी बनाता है, उसी प्रकार हम तुम्हारे लिए सोमरस पर्याप्त मात्रा में तैयार करते हैं. तुम हमें भली प्रकार जानते हो. हम अपनी स्तुतियों से तुम्हें दीप्यमान करते हैं एवं सुख की याचना करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as a person desirous of food makes a cart, so we prepare a fewras for you in sufficient quantity. You know us well. We brighten you with our praises and ask for happiness. (1)
त्वं न॑ इन्द्र॒ त्वाभि॑रू॒ती त्वा॑य॒तो अ॑भिष्टि॒पासि॒ जना॑न् । त्वमि॒नो दा॒शुषो॑ वरू॒तेत्थाधी॑र॒भि यो नक्ष॑ति त्वा ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारा पालन एवं रक्षण करो. जो लोग तुम्हारे प्रति श्रद्धा रखते हैं, तुम उन्हें शत्रुओं से बचाते हो. जो व्यक्ति हव्य देकर तुम्हारी सेवा करता है, उसके कल्याण के लिए तुम सब कुछ करते हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Follow and protect us. Those who have faith in you, you protect them from enemies. You do everything for the welfare of the person who serves you by giving a greeting. (2)
स नो॒ युवेन्द्रो॑ जो॒हूत्रः॒ सखा॑ शि॒वो न॒राम॑स्तु पा॒ता । यः शंस॑न्तं॒ यः श॑शमा॒नमू॒ती पच॑न्तं च स्तु॒वन्तं॑ च प्र॒णेष॑त् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
युवा, आह्वान करने योग्य, मित्रलुल्य एवं सुखकारक इंद्र हम यज्ञकर्तताओं की रक्षा करें. इद्र स्तुति बोलने वाले, हव्य पकाने वाले, स्तुतिरचना करने वाले एवं यज्ञक्रियाओं को पूर्ण करने वाले व्यक्तियों की रक्षा करके इनका यज्ञ पूर्ण करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Young, invoicable, friendly and pleasing Indra, we protect the yajnakartas. Idra completes the yajna by protecting those who speak praise, cook the havan, those who make praises and complete the yajna kriyas. (3)
तमु॑ स्तुष॒ इन्द्रं॒ तं गृ॑णीषे॒ यस्मि॑न्पु॒रा वा॑वृ॒धुः शा॑श॒दुश्च॑ । स वस्वः॒ कामं॑ पीपरदिया॒नो ब्र॑ह्मण्य॒तो नूत॑नस्या॒योः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं इद्र की स्तुति एवं प्रशंसा करता हूं. पूर्वकाल में उनके स्तोताओं ने वृद्धि प्राप्त की एवं अपने शत्रुओं का नाश किया. यदि नया यजमान इंद्र के समीप जाकर प्रार्थना करता है तो वे उसकी धन की इच्छा पूरी करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
I praise and admire Idre. In the past, his stoetas gained growth and destroyed their enemies. If the new host goes near Indra and prays, they fulfill his desire for wealth. (4)
सो अङ्गि॑रसामु॒चथा॑ जुजु॒ष्वान्ब्रह्मा॑ तूतो॒दिन्द्रो॑ गा॒तुमि॒ष्णन् । मु॒ष्णन्नु॒षसः॒ सूर्ये॑ण स्त॒वानश्न॑स्य चिच्छिश्नथत्पू॒र्व्याणि॑ ॥ (५)

अंगिरागोत्रीय ऋषियों के मंत्रों से प्रसन्न होकर इंद्र ने उन्हें वह मार्ग दिखाया, जिससे वे पणियों द्वारा छिपाई हुई गाएं ला सकें. इंद्र ने उनकी स्तुति सफल की. स्तोताओं की स्तुति सुनकर इंद्र ने सूर्य द्वारा उषा का हरण किया एवं अश्न के पुराने नगरों को नष्ट कर डाला. (५)
EN English Translation
Pleased with the mantras of the Angiragotrian sages, Indra showed them the path so that they could bring the cows hidden by the pangs. Indra succeeded in his praise. On hearing the praises of the Stotas, Indra took away Usha by the sun and destroyed the old cities of Ashna. (5)
स ह॑ श्रु॒त इन्द्रो॒ नाम॑ दे॒व ऊ॒र्ध्वो भु॑व॒न्मनु॑षे द॒स्मत॑मः । अव॑ प्रि॒यम॑र्शसा॒नस्य॑ सा॒ह्वाञ्छिरो॑ भरद्दा॒सस्य॑ स्व॒धावा॑न् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्रकाशमान, कीर्तिशाली एवं परम सुंदर इंद्र अपने सेवक की कामना पूर्ण करने के लिए सदा तैयार रहते हैं. शत्रुनाशक एवं शक्तिशाली इंद्र ने संसार के अनिष्टकारी दास का मस्तक काटकर नीचे डाल दिया. (६)
EN English Translation
The bright, the revered and the most beautiful Indra is always ready to fulfill the wishes of his servant. The hostile and powerful Indra cut off the head of the evil enemy of the world and put it down. (6)
स वृ॑त्र॒हेन्द्रः॑ कृ॒ष्णयो॑नीः पुरंद॒रो दासी॑रैरय॒द्वि । अज॑नय॒न्मन॑वे॒ क्षाम॒पश्च॑ स॒त्रा शंसं॒ यज॑मानस्य तूतोत् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वृत्रहंता एवं पुरंदर इंद्र ने नीच जाति वाले दासों की सेना को नक्ट किया था. मनु के लिए धरती और जल की रचना करने वाले इंद्र यजमान की महती अभिलाषा को पूर्ण करें. (७)
EN English Translation
Vrithrahanta and Purandar Indra had nudged the army of lower jati dasas. Fulfill the great desire of Indra, the host of Indra, who created the earth and water for Manu. (7)
तस्मै॑ तव॒स्य१॒॑मनु॑ दायि स॒त्रेन्द्रा॑य दे॒वेभि॒रर्ण॑सातौ । प्रति॒ यद॑स्य॒ वज्रं॑ बा॒ह्वोर्धुर्ह॒त्वी दस्यू॒न्पुर॒ आय॑सी॒र्नि ता॑रीत् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दानशील स्तोताओं ने जल पाने की इच्छा से इंद्र के लिए सदा शक्ति बढ़ाने वाला अन्न प्रदान किया है. जब इंद्र के हाथों में वज्र रखा गया, तब उन्होंने शत्रुओं की लौह निर्मित नगरी को पूरी तरह नष्ट कर दिया. (८)
EN English Translation
The charitable hymns have provided eternally power-enhancing food for Indra with the desire to get water. When the thunderbolt was placed in Indra's hands, he completely destroyed the iron-made city of the enemies. (8)
नू॒नं सा ते॒ प्रति॒ वरं॑ जरि॒त्रे दु॑ही॒यदि॑न्द्र॒ दक्षि॑णा म॒घोनी॑ । शिक्षा॑ स्तो॒तृभ्यो॒ माति॑ ध॒ग्भगो॑ नो बृ॒हद्व॑देम वि॒दथे॑ सु॒वीराः॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारी जो धनयुक्त दक्षिणा स्तुतिकर्तता की अभिलाषा पूरी करती है, वह हमें प्राप्त हो. हे भजनीय इंद्र! हमारे अतिरिक्त वह किसी अन्य को मत देना. हम उत्तम पुत्र-पौत्र प्राप्त करके इस यज्ञ में तुम्हारी स्तुति करेंगे. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! May we receive the rich south that fulfills your desire for praise. O psalmist Indra! Don't give it to anyone else other than us. We will receive the best sons and grandsons and praise you in this yajna. (9)
