सेमाम॑विड्ढि॒ प्रभृ॑तिं॒ य ईशि॑षे॒ऽया वि॑धेम॒ नव॑या म॒हा गि॒रा । यथा॑ नो मी॒ढ्वान्स्तव॑ते॒ सखा॒ तव॒ बृह॑स्पते॒ सीष॑धः॒ सोत नो॑ म॒तिम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ब्रह्मणस्पति! तुम इस विश्व के स्वामी हो. तुम हमारी स्तुति को भली प्रकार जानो. इस नवीन एवं विशाल स्तुति के द्वारा हम तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं. हम तुम्हारे मित्र हैं, इसलिए हमें मनोवांछित फल प्रदान करो तथा हमारी स्तुति को सफल करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Brahmaspati! You are the master of this world. You know our praise very well. We serve you through this new and vast praise. We are your friends, so give us the desired fruit and make our praise a success. (1)
यो नन्त्वा॒न्यन॑म॒न्न्योज॑सो॒ताद॑र्दर्म॒न्युना॒ शम्ब॑राणि॒ वि । प्राच्या॑वय॒दच्यु॑ता॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पति॒रा चावि॑श॒द्वसु॑मन्तं॒ वि पर्व॑तम् ॥ (२)

बृहस्पति ने अपनी शक्ति द्वारा दमनीय राक्षसों को वश में किया, क्रोध करके शंबर असुर का नाश किया, स्थिर जल को नीचे की ओर गिराया एवं गोरूपी धन से पूर्ण पर्वत में प्रवेश किया. (२)
EN English Translation
Jupiter, by his power, subdued the repressed demons, in a fit of rage, destroyed the Shambar Asura, dropped the stagnant water downwards and entered the entire mountain with gorupi wealth. (2)
तद्दे॒वानां॑ दे॒वत॑माय॒ कर्त्व॒मश्र॑थ्नन्दृ॒ळ्हाव्र॑दन्त वीळि॒ता । उद्गा आ॑ज॒दभि॑न॒द्ब्रह्म॑णा व॒लमगू॑ह॒त्तमो॒ व्य॑चक्षय॒त्स्वः॑ ॥ (३)

इंद्रादि देवों में शरेष्ठ बृहस्पति के कर्म से दृढ़ पर्वत शिथिल हुए थे एवं स्थिर वृक्ष टूट गए थे. बृहस्पति ने गायों का उद्धार किया, मंत्र रूपी शक्ति द्वारा बल असुर को समाप्त किया एवं अंधकार को समाप्त करके सूर्य को प्रकाशित किया. (३)
EN English Translation
In the Indradi devas, the strong mountains were relaxed by the karma of The Shareshtha Jupiter and the stable trees were broken. Jupiter saved the cows, abolished the asura by the power of the mantra and illuminated the sun by ending the darkness. (3)
अश्मा॑स्यमव॒तं ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पति॒र्मधु॑धारम॒भि यमोज॒सातृ॑णत् । तमे॒व विश्वे॑ पपिरे स्व॒र्दृशो॑ ब॒हु सा॒कं सि॑सिचु॒रुत्स॑मु॒द्रिण॑म् ॥ (४)

बृहस्पति ने पत्थर के समान दृढ़ मुख वाले एवं झुके हुए मेघ को शक्ति द्वारा नष्ट किया. सूर्य किरणों ने उसका जल पिआ. उन्होंने बादल के साथ ही वर्षा द्वारा अधिक मात्रा में सिंचन किया. (४)
EN English Translation
Jupiter destroyed the cloud with a firm face and bowed like a stone by power. The sun's rays drank his water. They irrigated more quantities by cloud as well as rain. (4)
सना॒ ता का चि॒द्भुव॑ना॒ भवी॑त्वा मा॒द्भिः श॒रद्भि॒र्दुरो॑ वरन्त वः । अय॑तन्ता चरतो अ॒न्यद॑न्य॒दिद्या च॒कार॑ व॒युना॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिः॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विजो! तुम्हारे कल्याण के लिए ही बृहस्पति ने नित्य एवं विचित्र ज्ञान से प्रतिमान और प्रतिवर्ष होने वाली जलवर्षा का द्वार भिन्न किया था. बृहस्पति ने इस ज्ञान को मंत्र का विषय बनाया, जिससे धरती और आकाश एक-दूसरे को प्रसन्न करते रहें. (५)
EN English Translation
Hey Ritvijo! It was for your welfare that Jupiter had separated the pattern from the constant and strange knowledge and the door of the annual flood. Jupiter made this knowledge a matter of mantra, so that the earth and the sky could keep pleasing each other. (5)
अ॒भि॒नक्ष॑न्तो अ॒भि ये तमा॑न॒शुर्नि॒धिं प॑णी॒नां प॑र॒मं गुहा॑ हि॒तम् । ते वि॒द्वांसः॑ प्रति॒चक्ष्यानृ॑ता॒ पुन॒र्यत॑ उ॒ आय॒न्तदुदी॑युरा॒विश॑म् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अंगिरागोत्रीय विद्वान् ऋषियों ने चारों ओर घूमते हुए पणियों द्वारा गुफा में छिपाए हुए गोरूपी धन को प्राप्त किया. वे असुरों की माया को देखकर जिस स्थान से निकले थे, वहीं प्रवेश कर गए. (६)
EN English Translation
The Angiragotrian scholarly sages roamed around and received the gorupi wealth hidden in the cave by the pangs. They saw the maya of the asuras and entered the place from where they had left. (6)
ऋ॒तावा॑नः प्रति॒चक्ष्यानृ॑ता॒ पुन॒रात॒ आ त॑स्थुः क॒वयो॑ म॒हस्प॒थः । ते बा॒हुभ्यां॑ धमि॒तम॒ग्निमश्म॑नि॒ नकिः॒ षो अ॒स्त्यर॑णो ज॒हुर्हि तम् ॥ (७)

सत्यवादी एवं क्रांतदर्शी अंगिरागोत्रीय ऋषि राक्षसों की माया को देखकर वहां आने की इच्छा से फिर प्रधान मार्ग पर पहुंच गए. उन्होंने हाथों द्वारा प्रज्वलित अग्नि को पर्वत पर फेंका. इससे पहले वे अग्नि वहां नहीं थे. (७)
EN English Translation
The truthful and revolutionary Angiragotrian sages, seeing the maya of the demons, again reached the main path with the desire to come there. They threw the agni ignited by their hands on the mountain. Before that they were not there agni. (7)
ऋ॒तज्ये॑न क्षि॒प्रेण॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पति॒र्यत्र॒ वष्टि॒ प्र तद॑श्नोति॒ धन्व॑ना । तस्य॑ सा॒ध्वीरिष॑वो॒ याभि॒रस्य॑ति नृ॒चक्ष॑सो दृ॒शये॒ कर्ण॑योनयः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ब्रह्मणस्पति सत्यरूप ज्या वाले धनुष से जो चाहते हैं, वही पा लेते हैं. वे कान से उत्पन्न, दर्शनीय एवं कार्य साधन में कुशल बाणों को फेंकते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
Brahmanaspati gets what he wants with a bow with satyaroop jyo. They throw arrows produced from the ear, visible and skilled in work. (8)
स सं॑न॒यः स वि॑न॒यः पु॒रोहि॑तः॒ स सुष्टु॑तः॒ स यु॒धि ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिः॑ । चा॒क्ष्मो यद्वाजं॒ भर॑ते म॒ती धनादित्सूर्य॑स्तपति तप्य॒तुर्वृथा॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों द्वारा आगे स्थापित बृहस्पति अलग-अलग पदार्थो को मिलाते और मिले हुए को भिन्न-भिन्न करते हैं एवं युद्ध में प्रकट होते हैं. वे सर्वद्रष्टा जिस समय अन्न एवं धन धारण करते हैं, उस समय सूर्य अनायास ही चमक उठते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
Jupiter, established further by the devas, mixes different substances and separates the mixed and appears in war. At the time when those almighty wear food and wealth, the sun shines spontaneously. (9)
वि॒भु प्र॒भु प्र॑थ॒मं मे॒हना॑वतो॒ बृह॒स्पतेः॑ सुवि॒दत्रा॑णि॒ राध्या॑ । इ॒मा सा॒तानि॑ वे॒न्यस्य॑ वा॒जिनो॒ येन॒ जना॑ उ॒भये॑ भुञ्ज॒ते विशः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वर्षा करने वाले बृहस्पति का धन व्याप्त, प्रौढ़, मुख्य एवं सुलभ है. यह धन सुंदर एवं अन्नस्वामी बृहस्पति ने प्रदान किया है. स्तोता एवं यजमान दोनों प्रकार के मनुष्य ध्यानमग्न होकर उस धन को भोगते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
The wealth of the raining Jupiter is pervasive, mature, main and accessible. This wealth is beautiful and annaswami is provided by Jupiter. Both the stota and the host types of human beings meditate and enjoy that wealth. (10)
योऽव॑रे वृ॒जने॑ वि॒श्वथा॑ वि॒भुर्म॒हामु॑ र॒ण्वः शव॑सा व॒वक्षि॑थ । स दे॒वो दे॒वान्प्रति॑ पप्रथे पृ॒थु विश्वेदु॒ ता प॑रि॒भूर्ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सब प्रकार व्याप्त एवं स्तुतियोग्य बृहस्पति अति बलवान् एवं निर्बल दोनों प्रकार के स्तोताओं की रक्षा अपनी शक्ति से करते हैं. वे समस्त देवों के प्रतिनिधि रूप में परम प्रसिद्ध हैं एवं सबके स्वामी हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
Jupiter, who is all over and praiseworthy in all respects, protects both the most powerful and the weak stoes with his power. He is the most famous as a representative of all gods and is the master of all. (11)
विश्वं॑ स॒त्यं म॑घवाना यु॒वोरिदाप॑श्च॒न प्र मि॑नन्ति व्र॒तं वा॑म् । अच्छे॑न्द्राब्रह्मणस्पती ह॒विर्नोऽन्नं॒ युजे॑व वा॒जिना॑ जिगातम् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र एवं बृहस्पति! तुम्हारी सभी स्तुतियां सत्य हैं. तुम्हारे व्रत को जल नष्ट नहीं कर सकता, रथ में जुते हुए घोड़े जिस प्रकार घास की ओर दौड़ते हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम हमारे हवि के सम्मुख आओ. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Lord Indra and Jupiter! All your praises are true. Water cannot destroy your fast, just as the horses that are ploughing in the chariot run towards the grass, so come before our havi. (12)
उ॒ताशि॑ष्ठा॒ अनु॑ शृण्वन्ति॒ वह्न॑यः स॒भेयो॒ विप्रो॑ भरते म॒ती धना॑ । वी॒ळु॒द्वेषा॒ अनु॒ वश॑ ऋ॒णमा॑द॒दिः स ह॑ वा॒जी स॑मि॒थे ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिः॑ ॥ (१३)

ब्रह्मणस्पति के शीघ्रगामी घोड़े हमारे स्तोत्र को सुनते हैं. सभ्य एवं बुद्धिमान् अध्वर्यु सुंदर स्तोत्रों द्वारा हव्य प्रदान करते हैं. वह प्रबल राक्षसों से द्वेष करने वाले, अपनी इच्छा से ऋण स्वीकार करने एवं अन्न के स्वामी हैं. वे युद्ध में हमारा हव्य स्वीकार करें. (१३)
EN English Translation
The early horses of Brahmanaspati listen to our hymns. Civilized and intelligent adhwaryu is provided by beautiful hymns. He is the master of strong demons, who accepts debts of his own free will, and the lord of food. Let them accept our speech in the war. (13)
ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पते॑रभवद्यथाव॒शं स॒त्यो म॒न्युर्महि॒ कर्मा॑ करिष्य॒तः । यो गा उ॒दाज॒त्स दि॒वे वि चा॑भजन्म॒हीव॑ री॒तिः शव॑सासर॒त्पृथ॑क् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
महान् कर्म करने वाले ब्रह्मणस्पति का मंत्र उनकी इच्छा के अनुसार सत्य होता है. उन्होंने गायों को बाहर करके आकाश का विभाग किया है. जिस प्रकार नदियों का जल विभिन्न धाराओं में नीचे की ओर बहता है, उसी प्रकार गाएं अपनी शक्ति के अनुसार विभिन्न देवों के घर गई. (१४)
EN English Translation
The mantra of Brahmaspati, who performs great deeds, is true according to his will. He has done the department of the sky by taking out the cows. Just as the water of the rivers flows downwards in different streams, in the same way the cows went to the houses of different gods according to their power. (14)
ब्रह्म॑णस्पते सु॒यम॑स्य वि॒श्वहा॑ रा॒यः स्या॑म र॒थ्यो॒३॒॑ वय॑स्वतः । वी॒रेषु॑ वी॒राँ उप॑ पृङ्धि न॒स्त्वं यदीशा॑नो॒ ब्रह्म॑णा॒ वेषि॑ मे॒ हव॑म् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ब्रह्मणस्पति! हम ऐसे धन के स्वामी बनें जो सदा नियंत्रित एवं अन्नयुक्त हो. तुम सबके ईश्वर हो, इसलिए हमारे वीर पुत्रों को पौत्रयुक्त करो. तुम हवि एवं अन्न के साथ-साथ हमारी स्तुति को जानो. (१५)
EN English Translation
O Brahmaspati! Let us be masters of wealth that is always controlled and granulated. You are all Gods, so give our brave sons a grandson. You know our praise along with the food and the grain. (15)
ब्रह्म॑णस्पते॒ त्वम॒स्य य॒न्ता सू॒क्तस्य॑ बोधि॒ तन॑यं च जिन्व । विश्वं॒ तद्भ॒द्रं यदव॑न्ति दे॒वा बृ॒हद्व॑देम वि॒दथे॑ सु॒वीराः॑ ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ब्रह्मणस्पति! तुम इस विश्व का नियंत्रण करने वाले हो. तुम इस सूक्त को जानो एवं हमारी संतान को प्रसन्न करो. देवगण जिसकी रक्षा करते हैं, वह सभी कल्याण प्राप्त करता है. हम शोभन पुत्र एवं पौत्र प्राप्त करके इस यज्ञ में बहुत सी स्तुतियां बोलेंगे. (१६)
EN English Translation
O Brahmaspati! You're going to control this world. You know this sukta and please our children. The one whom the gods protect receives all the welfare. We will receive shobhan sons and grandsons and speak many praises in this yajna. (16)
