उपे॑मसृक्षि वाज॒युर्व॑च॒स्यां चनो॑ दधीत ना॒द्यो गिरो॑ मे । अ॒पां नपा॑दाशु॒हेमा॑ कु॒वित्स सु॒पेश॑सस्करति॒ जोषि॑ष॒द्धि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं अन्न का अभिलाषी बनकर यह स्तुति बोल रहा हूं. शब्दकारी स्तुति पसंद करने वाले एवं शीघ्रगतिशील जल के नाती अर्थात् अग्नि मुझ स्तोता को अधिक अन्न एवं उत्तम रूप प्रदान करें. (१)
EN English Translation
I am speaking this praise by becoming a desire for food. May the grandson of the fast-paced water, i.e., the agni, give me more food and a better look to me. (1)
इ॒मं स्व॑स्मै हृ॒द आ सुत॑ष्टं॒ मन्त्रं॑ वोचेम कु॒विद॑स्य॒ वेद॑त् । अ॒पां नपा॑दसु॒र्य॑स्य म॒ह्ना विश्वा॑न्य॒र्यो भुव॑ना जजान ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्वामी अपांनपात् ,जल के नाती अर्थात् अग्नि, को लक्ष्य करके हम अपने हृदय से बनाए हुए मंत्र को भली प्रकार कहेंगे. वह उसे अधिक मात्रा में जानें. उन्होंने शत्रुनाशक बल से सारे भुवनों को बनाया है. (२)
EN English Translation
By targeting Swami Apanapat, the grandson of water i.e. agni, we will say well the mantra made from our heart. He gets to know him more. He has made all the bhuvanas with the force of enemies. (2)
सम॒न्या यन्त्युप॑ यन्त्य॒न्याः स॑मा॒नमू॒र्वं न॒द्यः॑ पृणन्ति । तमू॒ शुचिं॒ शुच॑यो दीदि॒वांस॑म॒पां नपा॑तं॒ परि॑ तस्थु॒रापः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धरती में जल पहले से भरा रहता है. दूसरा जल उस में मिलता है. वे जल नदी का रूप धारण करके सागर की बाड़वाग्नि को प्रसन्न करते हैं. शुद्ध जल पवित्र एवं दीप्तियुक्त अपांनपात् को चारों ओर से घेरकर स्थित है. (३)
EN English Translation
The water in the earth is already full. The second water gets into it. They take the form of water river and please the fence of the sea. Pure water is situated by surrounding the sacred and radiant apanple. (3)
तमस्मे॑रा युव॒तयो॒ युवा॑नं मर्मृ॒ज्यमा॑नाः॒ परि॑ य॒न्त्यापः॑ । स शु॒क्रेभिः॒ शिक्व॑भी रे॒वद॒स्मे दी॒दाया॑नि॒ध्मो घृ॒तनि॑र्णिग॒प्सु ॥ (४)

जल दर्पहीन युवती के समान है. वह युवा के समान अपांनपात् को अत्यधिक अलंकृत करके चारों ओर से घेरता है. ईधनरहित एवं दीप्तरूप वे अपांनपात् धनरहित अन्न की उत्पत्ति के लिए निर्मल तेज जल के बीच प्रकाशित होते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Water is similar to the poor young woman. He surrounds the youthlike apanpanpata by being highly ornate. They are illuminated in the midst of pure bright water for the production of non-rich food. (4)
अ॒स्मै ति॒स्रो अ॑व्य॒थ्याय॒ नारी॑र्दे॒वाय॑ दे॒वीर्दि॑धिष॒न्त्यन्न॑म् । कृता॑ इ॒वोप॒ हि प्र॑स॒र्स्रे अ॒प्सु स पी॒यूषं॑ धयति पूर्व॒सूना॑म् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इड़ा, सरस्वती एवं भारती नामक तीन दिव्य नेत्रियां व्यथारहित अपांनपात् के लिए अन्न धारण करती हैं एवं जल में उत्पन्न सोम को बढ़ाती हैं. अपांनपात् सर्वप्रथम उत्पन्न जलों के अमृत सोम को पीते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
The three divine eyelashes namely Ida, Saraswati and Bharati hold food for the painless apanpata and increase the soma produced in the water. They drink the nectar som of the first water produced. (5)
अश्व॒स्यात्र॒ जनि॑मा॒स्य च॒ स्व॑र्द्रु॒हो रि॒षः स॒म्पृचः॑ पाहि सू॒रीन् । आ॒मासु॑ पू॒र्षु प॒रो अ॑प्रमृ॒ष्यं नारा॑तयो॒ वि न॑श॒न्नानृ॑तानि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अपानंपात् रूप सागर से उच्चैःश्रवा अश्व एवं इस संसार का जन्म हुआ है. वह अपहर्ता हिंसक के संपर्क से स्तोता की रक्षा करते हैं. दान न करने वाले झूठे लोग अपरिपक्व जल में रहते हुए भी इस अधृष्य देव को नहीं पा सकते. (६)
EN English Translation
The horse and this world is born from the sea. He protects the stota from contact with the abductor violent. The false people who do not donate cannot find this abysmal God even when they live in immature water. (6)
स्व आ दमे॑ सु॒दुघा॒ यस्य॑ धे॒नुः स्व॒धां पी॑पाय सु॒भ्वन्न॑मत्ति । सो अ॒पां नपा॑दू॒र्जय॑न्न॒प्स्व१॒॑न्तर्व॑सु॒देया॑य विध॒ते वि भा॑ति ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अपांनपात् अपने घर में निवास करते हैं. उनकी गाएं सुख से दुही जा सकती हैं. वह वर्षा का जल बढ़ाते हैं एवं उससे उत्पन्न अन्न का भक्षण करते हैं. वह जल के बीच में शक्तिशाली बनकर यजमान को धन देने के लिए प्रकाशित होते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
They live in their own home. Their songs can be happily dupped. They increase the rain water and feed on the food produced from it. He is illuminated to give wealth to the host by becoming powerful in the middle of the water. (7)
यो अ॒प्स्वा शुचि॑ना॒ दैव्ये॑न ऋ॒तावाज॑स्र उर्वि॒या वि॒भाति॑ । व॒या इद॒न्या भुव॑नान्यस्य॒ प्र जा॑यन्ते वी॒रुध॑श्च प्र॒जाभिः॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो अपांनपात् सत्ययुक्त, सदा एक रूप, विस्तीर्ण एवं जल के मध्य पवित्र देवतेज से सुशोभित हैं, सब भुवन उन्हीं की शाखाएं हैं एवं फूलफलों से युक्त वनस्पतियां उन्हीं से उत्पन्न हुई हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
All the bhuvans which are adorned with the holy godtej in the midst of the water, always having a true form, perpetuated and in the midst of the water, are all their branches and the vegetation containing flowers is born from them. (8)
अ॒पां नपा॒दा ह्यस्था॑दु॒पस्थं॑ जि॒ह्माना॑मू॒र्ध्वो वि॒द्युतं॒ वसा॑नः । तस्य॒ ज्येष्ठं॑ महि॒मानं॒ वह॑न्ती॒र्हिर॑ण्यवर्णाः॒ परि॑ यन्ति य॒ह्वीः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अपांनपात् कुटिलगति जलों के बीच स्वयं ऊपर उठकर जलते हुए एवं तेजस्वी बादल धारण करते हुए आकाश में स्थित होते हैं. सुनहरे रंग की नदियां उनके महत्त्व को सब जगह फैलाती हुई बहती हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
The insatiable crooked motions are located in the sky, rising up and burning themselves and holding bright clouds. Golden-colored rivers flow everywhere, spreading their importance everywhere. (9)
हिर॑ण्यरूपः॒ स हिर॑ण्यसंदृग॒पां नपा॒त्सेदु॒ हिर॑ण्यवर्णः । हि॒र॒ण्यया॒त्परि॒ योने॑र्नि॒षद्या॑ हिरण्य॒दा द॑द॒त्यन्न॑मस्मै ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हिरण्यरूप, हिरण्यमय इंद्रियों वाले एवं हिरण्यवर्ण अपांनपात् हिरण्यमय स्थान पर बैठकर सुशोभित होते हैं. हिरण्यदाता यजमान उन्हें दान देते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
Hiranyarupa, those with the hiranyamaya senses and the hiranyavarnas are adorned by sitting in the ahinpat hiranyamaya place. The hiranyadata hosts donate to them. (10)
तद॒स्यानी॑कमु॒त चारु॒ नामा॑पी॒च्यं॑ वर्धते॒ नप्तु॑र॒पाम् । यमि॒न्धते॑ युव॒तयः॒ समि॒त्था हिर॑ण्यवर्णं घृ॒तमन्न॑मस्य ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अपांनपात् का किरणसमूह रूपी शरीर एवं नाम शोभन है. ये गुण मेघ में छिपकर बढ़ते हैं. युवती रूप जल स्वर्ण के समान तेजस्वी अपांनपात् को आकाश में प्रकाशित करते हैं इनका जल ही सबका भाग्य है. (११)
EN English Translation
The ray group of the apse is the body and name shobhan. These qualities grow by hiding in the cloud. Young women's forms illuminate the bright apanpatas like water gold in the sky, their water is everyone's fate. (11)
अ॒स्मै ब॑हू॒नाम॑व॒माय॒ सख्ये॑ य॒ज्ञैर्वि॑धेम॒ नम॑सा ह॒विर्भिः॑ । सं सानु॒ मार्ज्मि॒ दिधि॑षामि॒ बिल्मै॒र्दधा॒म्यन्नैः॒ परि॑ वन्द ऋ॒ग्भिः ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम याज्ञों, हव्यों एवं नमस्कारों द्वारा अनेक देवों के आद्य एवं अपने सखा अपांनपात् की सेवा करें. मैं उनका उन्नत स्थान भली प्रकार सुशोभित करता हूं, अन्न एवं लकड़ियों द्वारा उन्हें धारण करता हूं एवं मंत्रों द्वारा उनकी स्तुति करता हूं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Let us serve the beginnings and our fellow descendants of many gods through yajnas, greetings and salutations. I beautify their advanced place well, wear them with food and wood, and praise them with mantras. (12)
स ईं॒ वृषा॑जनय॒त्तासु॒ गर्भं॒ स ईं॒ शिशु॑र्धयति॒ तं रि॑हन्ति । सो अ॒पां नपा॒दन॑भिम्लातवर्णो॒ऽन्यस्ये॑वे॒ह त॒न्वा॑ विवेष ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सेचन करने वाले अपांनपात् ने उन जलों में गर्भ उत्पन्न किया है. वही बालक बनकर उनका जल पीते हैं एवं जल उनको चाटता है. उज्ज्वल वर्ण वाले वे ही अपांनपात् उस संसार में अन्न रूपी शरीर से व्याप्त हुए हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
The inclined apanpathas have created a womb in those waters. They become children and drink their water and the water licks them. They are the ones with bright colours that have pervaded the world in the form of food. (13)
अ॒स्मिन्प॒दे प॑र॒मे त॑स्थि॒वांस॑मध्व॒स्मभि॑र्वि॒श्वहा॑ दीदि॒वांस॑म् । आपो॒ नप्त्रे॑ घृ॒तमन्नं॒ वह॑न्तीः स्व॒यमत्कैः॒ परि॑ दीयन्ति य॒ह्वीः ॥ (१४)

उत्तम स्थान में रहने वाले, तेज द्वारा प्रतिदिन दीप्त एवं जल के नाती अर्थात् अग्नि को अन्न धारण करने वाले जलसमूह नित्य बहते हुए घेरे रहते हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
The water clusters living in the best place, illuminated by the fast every day and the grandson of water i.e. the food to the agni, are constantly flowing around. (14)
अयां॑समग्ने सुक्षि॒तिं जना॒यायां॑समु म॒घव॑द्भ्यः सुवृ॒क्तिम् । विश्वं॒ तद्भ॒द्रं यदव॑न्ति दे॒वा बृ॒हद्व॑देम वि॒दथे॑ सु॒वीराः॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे उत्तम स्थान में रहने वाले अग्नि! हम पुत्र प्राप्ति के लिए तथा यजमान के कल्याण के लिए तुम्हारे पास स्तोत्र लेकर आए हैं. देवगण जो कल्याण करते हैं, वह हमें प्राप्त हो. हम शोभन पुत्र-पौत्र प्राप्त करके इस यज्ञ में बहुत से स्तोत्र बोलेंगे. (१५)
EN English Translation
O agni that dwells in the best place! We have brought you hymns for the son-in-law and for the welfare of the host. May we receive the welfare that the gods do. We will receive shobhan's son-grandson and speak many hymns in this yajna. (15)
