ए॒ष स्य भा॒नुरुदि॑यर्ति यु॒ज्यते॒ रथः॒ परि॑ज्मा दि॒वो अ॒स्य सान॑वि । पृ॒क्षासो॑ अस्मिन्मिथु॒ना अधि॒ त्रयो॒ दृति॑स्तु॒रीयो॒ मधु॑नो॒ वि र॑प्शते ॥ (१)

यह सूर्य उदय होता है. तुम दोनों का रथ सभी ओर चलता है एवं चमकते हुए सूर्य के साथ ऊंचे स्थान में पहुंचता है. इस रथ के ऊपरी भाग में तीन प्रकार का अन्न मिला हुआ है तथा चौथी संख्या सोमरस से भरे हुए चमड़े के पात्र की है. (१)
EN English Translation
It is the sun rising. The chariot of both of you moves all over and reaches a higher place with the shining sun. There are three types of food mixed in the upper part of this chariot and the fourth number is of a leather vessel filled with somras. (1)
उद्वां॑ पृ॒क्षासो॒ मधु॑मन्त ईरते॒ रथा॒ अश्वा॑स उ॒षसो॒ व्यु॑ष्टिषु । अ॒पो॒र्णु॒वन्त॒स्तम॒ आ परी॑वृतं॒ स्व१॒॑र्ण शु॒क्रं त॒न्वन्त॒ आ रजः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तीन प्रकार के अन्न से युक्त, सोमरस-सहित एवं घोड़ों वाला तुम्हारा रथ उषा के आरंभकाल में ही चारों ओर फैले हुए अंधकार को नष्ट करता हुआ एवं सूर्य के समान तेज को फैलाता हुआ सामने की ओर जाता है. (२)
EN English Translation
Your chariot, with three types of food, with somras-laced and horses, goes to the front, destroying the darkness that has spread around in the early days of Usha and spreading the brightness like the sun. (2)
मध्वः॑ पिबतं मधु॒पेभि॑रा॒सभि॑रु॒त प्रि॒यं मधु॑ने युञ्जाथां॒ रथ॑म् । आ व॑र्त॒निं मधु॑ना जिन्वथस्प॒थो दृतिं॑ वहेथे॒ मधु॑मन्तमश्विना ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तुम सोम पीने वाले मुखों से सोम पिओ. सोम पाने के लिए तुम अपना प्रिय रथ अश्वयुक्त करके यजमान के घर तक लाओ. हे अश्विनीकुमारो! तुम सोमरसपूर्ण चमड़े का पात्र धारण करके अपने मार्ग सोमरस द्वारा प्रसन्नतापूर्ण बनाओ. (३)
EN English Translation
You drink som from the mouths that drink mon. To get som, you muster your beloved chariot and bring it to the host's house. O Ashwinikumaro! You make your path delightful by somras by wearing a somming leather vessel. (3)
हं॒सासो॒ ये वां॒ मधु॑मन्तो अ॒स्रिधो॒ हिर॑ण्यपर्णा उ॒हुव॑ उष॒र्बुधः॑ । उ॒द॒प्रुतो॑ म॒न्दिनो॑ मन्दिनि॒स्पृशो॒ मध्वो॒ न मक्षः॒ सव॑नानि गच्छथः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तुम्हारे पास मार्ग में शीघ्र चलने वाले, माधुर्ययुक्त, द्रोह न करने वाले, सुनहरे रंग के पंखों से युक्त, ढोने वाले, प्रातःकाल में जागने वाले, जल फैलाने वाले, प्रसन्नतादाता एवं सोम का स्पर्श करने वाले घोड़े हैं. उन घोड़ों द्वारा तुम हमारे यज्ञों में उसी प्रकार आओ, जिस प्रकार शहद की मक्खी शहद के पास जाती है. (४)
EN English Translation
You have horses on the way quickly, melody, non-detestable, with golden wings, carrying, waking up in the morning, spreading water, pleasing and touching the mon. By those horses you come to our yagnas in the same way as the honey bee goes to honey. (4)
स्व॒ध्व॒रासो॒ मधु॑मन्तो अ॒ग्नय॑ उ॒स्रा ज॑रन्ते॒ प्रति॒ वस्तो॑र॒श्विना॑ । यन्नि॒क्तह॑स्तस्त॒रणि॑र्विचक्ष॒णः सोमं॑ सु॒षाव॒ मधु॑मन्त॒मद्रि॑भिः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मंत्रयुक्त जल से हाथ धोने वाले, यज्ञकर्म के पूरक एवं सभी बातों को देखने वाले अध्वर्यु पत्थरों की सहायता से जब सोमरस निचोड़ते हैं, तब उत्तम यज्ञ के साधन एवं सोमयुक्त गार्हपत्य आदि अग्नि एक साथ रहने वाले अश्विनीकुमारों की प्रतिदिन स्तुति करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
When the somras squeeze with the help of the adhwaryu stones, who wash their hands with the water containing mantras, the complements of the yajnakarma and the adhavaryu stones who see all the things, the means of the best yajna and the somayukta garhapatya, etc., praise the Ashwinikumaras who live together every day. (5)
आ॒के॒नि॒पासो॒ अह॑भि॒र्दवि॑ध्वतः॒ स्व१॒॑र्ण शु॒क्रं त॒न्वन्त॒ आ रजः॑ । सूर॑श्चि॒दश्वा॑न्युयुजा॒न ई॑यते॒ विश्वा॒ँ अनु॑ स्व॒धया॑ चेतथस्प॒थः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
किरणें दिवस के द्वारा अंधकार को नष्ट करती हुई सूर्य के समान उज्ज्वल तेज का विस्तार करती हैं. हे अश्विनीकुमारो! सूर्य अपने रथ में घोड़े जोड़कर चलते हैं. तुम दोनों सोमरस लेकर चलते हुए उनका रास्ता बताओ. (६)
EN English Translation
The rays extend as bright a bright glow as the sun destroying the darkness by day. O Ashwinikumaro! The sun walks by adding horses to its chariot. You both take the somras and tell them their way. (6)
प्र वा॑मवोचमश्विना धियं॒धा रथः॒ स्वश्वो॑ अ॒जरो॒ यो अस्ति॑ । येन॑ स॒द्यः परि॒ रजां॑सि या॒थो ह॒विष्म॑न्तं त॒रणिं॑ भो॒जमच्छ॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्विनीकुमारो! यज्ञकर्म करने वाले हम तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. तुम्हारा रथ शोभन अश्चों वाला एवं नित्य तरुण है. उसके द्वारा तुम तुरंत तीनों लोकों में घूम आते हो. उसीसे तुम हमारे हव्ययुक्त, शीघ्रगामी एवं भोजयुक्त यज्ञ में आओ. (७)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro! We, those who perform yajnakarma, praise you. Your chariot is a brave and eternal youth. Through him you immediately wander around in all the three realms. From that you come to our hulyukta, quick and fruitful yajna. (7)
