आ धे॒नवः॒ पय॑सा॒ तूर्ण्य॑र्था॒ अम॑र्धन्ती॒रुप॑ नो यन्तु॒ मध्वा॑ । म॒हो रा॒ये बृ॑ह॒तीः स॒प्त विप्रो॑ मयो॒भुवो॑ जरि॒ता जो॑हवीति ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मीठे जल से भरी हुई नदियां हिंसा न करती हुई तेज चाल से हमारे समीप आवें. विशेष रूप से प्रसन्न करने वाले स्तोता विशाल संपत्ति पाने के उद्देश्य से सुखसाधिका सात नदियों का आह्वान करें. (१)
EN English Translation
Let the rivers filled with fresh water come to us at a rapid pace without violence. The specially pleasing hymns invoke the Sukhsaadhika Seven Rivers with the aim of gaining vast wealth. (1)
आ सु॑ष्टु॒ती नम॑सा वर्त॒यध्यै॒ द्यावा॒ वाजा॑य पृथि॒वी अमृ॑ध्रे । पि॒ता मा॒ता मधु॑वचाः सु॒हस्ता॒ भरे॑भरे नो य॒शसा॑वविष्टाम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम शोभन स्तुतियों एवं हव्य द्वारा हिंसारहित धरती-आकाश को अन्न लाभ के निमित्त प्रसन्न करना चाहते हैं. माता-पिता के समान, मधुर/वचनयुक्त एवं सुंदर हाथों वाले धरती- आकाश समस्त संग्रामों में हमारी रक्षा करें. (२)
EN English Translation
We want to please the violence-free earth-sky for the benefit of food through adornment hymns and sacrifices. Like parents, may the earth with sweet/promised and beautiful hands protect us in all the struggles. (2)
अध्व॑र्यवश्चकृ॒वांसो॒ मधू॑नि॒ प्र वा॒यवे॑ भरत॒ चारु॑ शु॒क्रम् । होते॑व नः प्रथ॒मः पा॑ह्य॒स्य देव॒ मध्वो॑ ररि॒मा ते॒ मदा॑य ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अध्वर्युजनो! तुम मधुर आज्य एवं हव्य तैयार करके उत्तम सोमरस सबसे पहले वायुदेव को प्रदान करो. हे वायुदेव! तुम भी होता की तरह इस सोम को सबसे पहले पिओ. हे देव! यह सोम हम तुम्हारी प्रसन्नता के लिए दे रहे हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O adhwaryujano! You prepare the sweet aajya and the havan and give the best somras to the vayudev first. O Air God! You would also like to drink this mon first. Oh, God! This mon we are giving for your delight. (3)
दश॒ क्षिपो॑ युञ्जते बा॒हू अद्रिं॒ सोम॑स्य॒ या श॑मि॒तारा॑ सु॒हस्ता॑ । मध्वो॒ रसं॑ सु॒गभ॑स्तिर्गिरि॒ष्ठां चनि॑श्चदद्दुदुहे शु॒क्रमं॒शुः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋत्विजों की शीघ्रता करने वाली दस उंगलियां एवं सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले हाथ पत्थरों को पकड़ते हैं. शोभन उंगलियों वाला ऋत्विज् प्रसन्न होता हुआ उच्च पर्वत पर उत्पन्न सोमलता का मधुर रस टपकाता है. सोमलता से श्वैत रस निकलता है. (४)
EN English Translation
Ten fingers that accelerate the ritvijas and the hands that squeeze the somers hold the stones. The sweet juice of Somlata, born on a high mountain, is pleased. Shavita juice comes out of somlata. (4)
असा॑वि ते जुजुषा॒णाय॒ सोमः॒ क्रत्वे॒ दक्षा॑य बृह॒ते मदा॑य । हरी॒ रथे॑ सु॒धुरा॒ योगे॑ अ॒र्वागिन्द्र॑ प्रि॒या कृ॑णुहि हू॒यमा॑नः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सेवा करने वाले इंद्र! तुम्हारे कार्यो, शक्ति एवं महान् मद के कारण तुम्हारे लिए सोमरस निचोड़ा गया है. हे इंद्र! हमारे द्वारा पुकारे जाने पर तुम सुंदर जुए में जुते हुए दोनों घोड़ों को रथ में जोड़कर वह रथ हमारे सामने लाओ. (५)
EN English Translation
O you who serve Indra! The Somras has been squeezed out for you because of your actions, power and greatness. O Indra! When we call out by us, you join the two horses in the chariot while gambling in beautiful gambling and bring that chariot in front of us. (5)
आ नो॑ म॒हीम॒रम॑तिं स॒जोषा॒ ग्नां दे॒वीं नम॑सा रा॒तह॑व्याम् । मधो॒र्मदा॑य बृह॒तीमृ॑त॒ज्ञामाग्ने॑ वह प॒थिभि॑र्देव॒यानैः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम प्रसन्नतापूर्वक हमारे साथ देवों को प्राप्त होने वाले मार्गो द्वारा महान्, सर्वत्र गमनशील, हव्यों के साथ यज्ञ को जानने वाली, हव्य प्राप्त करने वाली एवं विशाल गुना देवी को सोमरस पीकर प्रसन्न होने के लिए हव्य वहन करो. (६)
EN English Translation
O agni! You may gladly carry the havan to be happy by drinking somras to the great, the one who walks everywhere, the one who knows the yajna with the havans, the one who receives the haavya and the great fold goddess by the paths that the devas receive with us. (6)
अ॒ञ्जन्ति॒ यं प्र॒थय॑न्तो॒ न विप्रा॑ व॒पाव॑न्तं॒ नाग्निना॒ तप॑न्तः । पि॒तुर्न पु॒त्र उ॒पसि॒ प्रेष्ठ॒ आ घ॒र्मो अ॒ग्निमृ॒तय॑न्नसादि ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मेधावी ऋत्विजों ने यज्ञ की कामना से हव्यपात्र अग्नि के ऊपर रख दिया है. वह ऐसा जान पड़ता है कि पिता की गोद में पुत्र हो अथवा मोटा पशु आग में तपाया जा रहा हो. (७)
EN English Translation
The meritorious ritvijs have placed the havyapatra on top of the agni with the wish of yajna. It seems that there is a son in the father's lap or a fat animal is being burnt in the agni. (7)
अच्छा॑ म॒ही बृ॑ह॒ती शंत॑मा॒ गीर्दू॒तो न ग॑न्त्व॒श्विना॑ हु॒वध्यै॑ । म॒यो॒भुवा॑ स॒रथा या॑तम॒र्वाग्ग॒न्तं नि॒धिं धुर॑मा॒णिर्न नाभि॑म् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारी यह पूजनीय, विशाल एवं सुख देने वाली स्तुति इस यज्ञ में बुलाने हेतु अश्व्ेनीकुमारों के पास उसी प्रकार जाए, जिस प्रकार दूत जाता है. हे सुख देने वाले अश्विनीकुमारो! तुम लोग एक रथ पर बैठकर समर्पित सोम के सामने इस प्रकार आओ, जिस प्रकार धुरी के पास कील जाती है. (८)
EN English Translation
This revered, huge and joyful praise of ours goes to the Ashvinikumaras to call them to this yagna in the same way as the messenger goes. O happy Ashwinikumaro! You sit on a chariot and come in front of the dedicated Mon in this way, just as the nail goes near the axis. (8)
प्र तव्य॑सो॒ नम॑उक्तिं तु॒रस्या॒हं पू॒ष्ण उ॒त वा॒योर॑दिक्षि । या राध॑सा चोदि॒तारा॑ मती॒नां या वाज॑स्य द्रविणो॒दा उ॒त त्मन् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं शक्तिशाली एवं शीघ्र गमन करने वाले पूषा एवं वायु की स्तुति करता हूं. ये मानव बुद्धियों को धन एवं अन्न के लिए प्रेरित करने वाले एवं धनदाता हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
I praise the powerful and quick-moving push and the wind. They are the ones who inspire and give wealth to the human intellects for wealth and food. (9)
आ नाम॑भिर्म॒रुतो॑ वक्षि॒ विश्वा॒ना रू॒पेभि॑र्जातवेदो हुवा॒नः । य॒ज्ञं गिरो॑ जरि॒तुः सु॑ष्टु॒तिं च॒ विश्वे॑ गन्त मरुतो॒ विश्व॑ ऊ॒ती ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जातवेद अग्नि! हमारे द्वारा आहूत होकर तुम विविध नाम एवं रूप धारण करने वाले मरुतों को यज्ञ में लाते हो. हे मरुतो! तुम सब अपने रक्षा साधनों सहित यजमान के यज्ञ, वाणी एवं शोभन स्तुतियों के समीप उपस्थित रहो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Jativeda Agni! Called by us, you bring the maruts who have different names and forms to the yagna. O Maruto! All of you, along with your means of protection, be present near the yajna, speech and adornment hymns of the host. (10)
आ नो॑ दि॒वो बृ॑ह॒तः पर्व॑ता॒दा सर॑स्वती यज॒ता ग॑न्तु य॒ज्ञम् । हवं॑ दे॒वी जु॑जुषा॒णा घृ॒ताची॑ श॒ग्मां नो॒ वाच॑मुश॒ती शृ॑णोतु ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञ की पात्र देवी सरस्वती द्युलोक अथवा विशाल अंतरिक्ष से यज्ञ में आवें. उदक-वर्षा करने वाली वह प्रसन्रतापूर्वक हमारी स्तुति को सुने और उसका अर्थ जाने. (११)
EN English Translation
The character of the yajna should come to the yagna from goddess Saraswati Duloka or from a vast space. He who showers the belly should gladly listen to our praise and know its meaning. (11)
आ वे॒धसं॒ नील॑पृष्ठं बृ॒हन्तं॒ बृह॒स्पतिं॒ सद॑ने सादयध्वम् । सा॒दद्यो॑निं॒ दम॒ आ दी॑दि॒वांसं॒ हिर॑ण्यवर्णमरु॒षं स॑पेम ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शक्तिशाली, नीली पीठ वाले एवं महान् बृहस्पति को यज्ञशाला में बैठाओ. वे बीच में बैठकर पूरे घर में प्रकाश बिखेरते हैं, सुनहरे रंग वाले एवं तेजस्वी हैं तथा हमारे द्वारा पूजित हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Sit the mighty, blue-headed and great Jupiter in the yajnashala. They sit in the middle and scatter light throughout the house, are golden in coloured and bright and worshipped by us. (12)
आ ध॑र्ण॒सिर्बृ॒हद्दि॑वो॒ ररा॑णो॒ विश्वे॑भिर्ग॒न्त्वोम॑भिर्हुवा॒नः । ग्ना वसा॑न॒ ओष॑धी॒रमृ॑ध्रस्त्रि॒धातु॑शृङ्गो वृष॒भो व॑यो॒धाः ॥ (१३)

सबके धारणकर्त्ता, परम दीप्तिशाली, अभिलाषाएं पूर्ण करने वाले, समस्त रक्षा साधनों सहित बुलाए गए, लपटों तथा ओषधियों को धारण करने वाले, अबाध गति, तीन प्रकार की ज्वालाओं को धारण करने वाले, वर्षा करने वाले एवं अन्नधारक अग्नि हमारे यज्ञ में आवें. (१३)
EN English Translation
All the possessors, the most radiant, the ones who fulfill their desires, those who are called with all the means of protection, those who wear flames and herbs, those who wear the flames of the three kinds, the ones who rain and the food-keeping agnis come into our yajna. (13)
मा॒तुष्प॒दे प॑र॒मे शु॒क्र आ॒योर्वि॑प॒न्यवो॑ रास्पि॒रासो॑ अग्मन् । सु॒शेव्यं॒ नम॑सा रा॒तह॑व्याः॒ शिशुं॑ मृजन्त्या॒यवो॒ न वा॒से ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यजमान के होता, हव्यपात्र उठाने वाले ऋत्विज् मातारूपी धरती के विशाल एवं उज्ज्वल वेदीरूप स्थान पर बैठते हैं. सांसारिक लोग पैदा हुए बालक की शरीर वृद्धि के निमित्त जिस प्रकार उसकी मालिश करते हैं, उसी प्रकार उत्पन्न अग्नि का पोषण स्तुतियों से किया जाता है. (१४)
EN English Translation
The host's, the people who lift the havanpatra sit in the vast and bright altar of the earth. Just as the worldly people massage a born child for his body growth, so the agni produced is nourished by praises. (14)
बृ॒हद्वयो॑ बृह॒ते तुभ्य॑मग्ने धिया॒जुरो॑ मिथु॒नासः॑ सचन्त । दे॒वोदे॑वः सु॒हवो॑ भूतु॒ मह्यं॒ मा नो॑ मा॒ता पृ॑थि॒वी दु॑र्म॒तौ धा॑त् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे महान् अग्नि! यज्ञकर्म करते हुए बुढ़ापे को प्राप्त स्त्रीपुरुष तुम्हें अधिक मात्रा में अन्न भेंट करते हैं. सभी देव हमारे लिए शोभन आह्वान वाले हों. धरती माता हमें दुर्बुद्धि में न डाले. (१५)
EN English Translation
O great agni! While performing the yajnakarma, the old man gifts you more food. May all the gods be the ones of adornment for us. Mother Earth should not let us be misunderstood. (15)

हे देवगण! हम असीम सुख प्राप्त करें. (१६)

O Gods! We achieve limitless happiness. (16)
सम॒श्विनो॒रव॑सा॒ नूत॑नेन मयो॒भुवा॑ सु॒प्रणी॑ती गमेम । आ नो॑ र॒यिं व॑हत॒मोत वी॒राना विश्वा॑न्यमृता॒ सौभ॑गानि ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अश्चिनीकुमारो की परम नवीन सुख देने वाली रक्षा का अनुभव करें. हे मरणरहित अश्व्िनीकुमारो! तुम हमें धन, वीर पुत्र एवं समस्त सौभाग्य दो. (१७)
EN English Translation
Let us experience the ultimate new pleasing defense of the Aschinikumaro. O deathless Ashvinikumaro! You give us wealth, brave sons and all the good fortune. (17)
