आ चि॑कितान सु॒क्रतू॑ दे॒वौ म॑र्त रि॒शाद॑सा । वरु॑णाय ऋ॒तपे॑शसे दधी॒त प्रय॑से म॒हे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ज्ञानी व्यक्ति! तुम शोभन कर्म वाले एवं शत्रुनाशक मित्र व वरुण को पुकारो तथा जलरूप, अन्न के स्वामी एवं महान् वरुण को हव्य दो. (१)
EN English Translation
O wise man! You call upon the enemy-doer and the enemy friend and Varuna, and give a greeting to the jalrup, the lord of the food and the great Varuna. (1)
ता हि क्ष॒त्रमवि॑ह्रुतं स॒म्यग॑सु॒र्य१॒॑माशा॑ते । अध॑ व्र॒तेव॒ मानु॑षं॒ स्व१॒॑र्ण धा॑यि दर्श॒तम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम्हारी शक्ति असुर विनाशिनी एवं विरोधरहित है. तुम्हारा महान् बल व्याप्त है. सूर्य जैसे आकाश में दीखता है, वैसे ही तुम अपनी दर्शनीय शक्ति यज्ञ में स्थापित करो. (२)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! Your power is asura destructive and non-opposition. Your great power is pervaded. As the sun appears in the sky, so do you set your visible power in the yajna. (2)
ता वा॒मेषे॒ रथा॑नामु॒र्वीं गव्यू॑तिमेषाम् । रा॒तह॑व्यस्य सुष्टु॒तिं द॒धृक्स्तोमै॑र्मनामहे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रातहव्य ऋषि की स्तुतियां सुनने वाले मित्र व वरुण! हम इसलिए तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं कि तुम दूर तक फैले मार्ग में चलने वाले हमारे रथों की रक्षा के लिए चलते हो. (३)
EN English Translation
O friend and Varun who hear the praises of the sage Raatavaya! We praise you because you walk to protect our chariots that walk in the path that stretches far and wide. (3)
अधा॒ हि काव्या॑ यु॒वं दक्ष॑स्य पू॒र्भिर॑द्भुता । नि के॒तुना॒ जना॑नां चि॒केथे॑ पूतदक्षसा ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुतियोग्य, शुद्ध बलसंपन्न एवं मुझ चतुर यज्ञमान की स्तुति से चकित मित्र व वरुण! तुम अनुकूल मन से यजमानों की स्तुति सुनते हो. (४)
EN English Translation
O praiseworthy, pure forceful and amazed at the praise of my clever yajnaman, friend and Varuna! You hear the praise of hosts with a favorable heart. (4)
तदृ॒तं पृ॑थिवि बृ॒हच्छ्र॑वए॒ष ऋषी॑णाम् । ज्र॒य॒सा॒नावरं॑ पृ॒थ्वति॑ क्षरन्ति॒ याम॑भिः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धरती! हम ऋषियों की अन्न की अभिलाषा पूरी करने के लिए तुम्हारे ऊपर बहुत सा जल है. गतिशील मित्र व वरुण गमनों द्वारा बहुत सा जल बरसाते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O earth! We have a lot of water on you to fulfill the desire of the sages to eat. A lot of water is rained by the dynamic friends and Varuna gamanas. (5)
आ यद्वा॑मीयचक्षसा॒ मित्र॑ व॒यं च॑ सू॒रयः॑ । व्यचि॑ष्ठे बहु॒पाय्ये॒ यते॑महि स्व॒राज्ये॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दूर तक देखने वाले मित्र व वरुण! हम यजमान एवं स्तोतागण तुम्हारे परम विस्तृत एवं बहुतों से आकृष्ट करने वाले स्वराज्य में पहुंचें. (६)
EN English Translation
O friends and Varun who have seen far away! May we hosts and psalms arrive at your most elaborate and many-attracting Swarajya. (6)
