आ ग॑न्ता॒ मा रि॑षण्यत॒ प्रस्था॑वानो॒ माप॑ स्थाता समन्यवः । स्थि॒रा चि॑न्नमयिष्णवः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे प्रस्थान करने वाले मरुतो! आओ. तुम हमें मत मारना. तुम समानरूप से क्रोधित होने पर दृढ़ पर्वतों को भी कंपा सकते हो. तुम हमसे दूर मत रहो. (१)
EN English Translation
O departing Maruto! Come. Don't you kill us. You can also tremble the firm mountains when you are equally angry. Don't stay away from us. (1)
वी॒ळु॒प॒विभि॑र्मरुत ऋभुक्षण॒ आ रु॑द्रासः सुदी॒तिभिः॑ । इ॒षा नो॑ अ॒द्या ग॑ता पुरुस्पृहो य॒ज्ञमा सो॑भरी॒यवः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दीप्तिशाली निवासस्थान वाले एवं रुद्रपुत्र मरुतो! तुम ऐसे रथों द्वारा आओ, जिनके पहियों की नेमियां शोभन दीप्ति वाली हैं. हे बहुतों द्वारा अभिलषित मरुतो! मुझ सौभरि के प्रति मन में दयालु बनकर एवं अन्न लेकर आज यज्ञ में आओ. (२)
EN English Translation
Maruto, the son of Rudra, with a glorious abode! You come by chariots whose wheels have a glorious glow. O Maruto, who is anointed by many! Be kind to me in my heart and bring food to me today. (2)
वि॒द्मा हि रु॒द्रिया॑णां॒ शुष्म॑मु॒ग्रं म॒रुतां॒ शिमी॑वताम् । विष्णो॑रे॒षस्य॑ मी॒ळ्हुषा॑म् ॥ (३)

हम कर्म वाले एवं कृपाजल से सींचने वाले रुद्रपुत्र मरुतों एवं विष्णु के उग्रबल को जानते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
We know the virtuous power of the Rudraputra Maruts and Vishnu, who are karma-walas and watered with kripajal. (3)
वि द्वी॒पानि॒ पाप॑त॒न्तिष्ठ॑द्दु॒च्छुनो॒भे यु॑जन्त॒ रोद॑सी । प्र धन्वा॑न्यैरत शुभ्रखादयो॒ यदेज॑थ स्वभानवः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन आयुधों वाले एवं विशिष्ट दीप्ति वाले मरुतो! तुम्हारे आने से जो कंपन होता है, उससे सारे द्वीप गिर पड़ते हैं, वृक्षादि स्थावर दु:खी होते हैं, द्यावा-पृथिवी दोनों कांप उठते हैं एवं गमनशील जल बहने लगता है. (४)
EN English Translation
O maruto with beautiful ordnances and with a special radiance! The vibrations that occur when you come, all the islands fall, the trees are in real sorrow, both the dawa-earth tremble, and the moving water begins to flow. (4)
अच्यु॑ता चिद्वो॒ अज्म॒न्ना नान॑दति॒ पर्व॑तासो॒ वन॒स्पतिः॑ । भूमि॒र्यामे॑षु रेजते ॥ (५)

हे मरुतो! जिस समय तुम युद्ध में जाते हो, उस समय अच्युत पर्वत एवं वनस्पतियां बार-बार शब्द करती हैं तथा धरती कांपती है. (५)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! At the time you go to war, the Achyuta mountains and vegetation repeatedly make words and the earth trembles. (5)
अमा॑य वो मरुतो॒ यात॑वे॒ द्यौर्जिही॑त॒ उत्त॑रा बृ॒हत् । यत्रा॒ नरो॒ देदि॑शते त॒नूष्वा त्वक्षां॑सि बा॒ह्वो॑जसः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! तुम्हारे बलपूर्वक गमन को स्थान देने के विचार से लोक विशाल अंतरिक्ष से ऊपर चला गया है. उस अंतरिक्ष में बहुशक्तिसंपन्न एवं नेता मरुद्गण अपने शरीरों में दीप्ति आभरण धारण करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! The idea of giving space to your forcible movement has gone up from the vast space of the folk. In that space, the multi-powerful and the leader deserts hold a glow in their bodies. (6)
स्व॒धामनु॒ श्रियं॒ नरो॒ महि॑ त्वे॒षा अम॑वन्तो॒ वृष॑प्सवः । वह॑न्ते॒ अह्रु॑तप्सवः ॥ (७)

नेता, दीप्त, शक्तिशाली, वर्षारूप एवं कुटिलतारहित मरुद्गण हव्य अन्न पाने के लिए महती शोभा धारण करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Leaders, bright, powerful, rainy-like and unruly deserters grace the great glory to get the food. (7)
गोभि॑र्वा॒णो अ॑ज्यते॒ सोभ॑रीणां॒ रथे॒ कोशे॑ हिर॒ण्यये॑ । गोब॑न्धवः सुजा॒तास॑ इ॒षे भु॒जे म॒हान्तो॑ नः॒ स्पर॑से॒ नु ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सौभरि आदि ऋषियों की स्तुतियों से सोने के बने रथ के मध्यभाग में मरुतों की वीणा प्रकट हो रही हैं. गाएं जिनकी माता हैं, शोभन जन्म वाले एवं महानुभाव मरुद्गण हमारे अन्न, भोग एवं प्रसन्नता के लिए दयालु हों. (८)
EN English Translation
The harps of the maruts are appearing in the middle part of the chariot made of gold from the praises of the sages like Saubhari etc. Sing those who have mothers, may the beautiful born and the great-willed deserts be kind to our food, enjoyment and happiness. (8)
प्रति॑ वो वृषदञ्जयो॒ वृष्णे॒ शर्धा॑य॒ मारु॑ताय भरध्वम् । ह॒व्या वृष॑प्रयाव्णे ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम की वर्षा से सींचने वाले अध्वर्युगण! वर्षा करने वाले मरुतों की शक्ति बढ़ाने के लिए हव्य अर्पित करो. इस हव्य के द्वारा मरुदगण वर्षाकारक एवं उत्तमगति वाले बनते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O the rain-watering teachers of Mon! Offer a havya to increase the power of the rainy maruts. Through this havan, the deserts become rain-fed and have good speed. (9)
वृ॒ष॒ण॒श्वेन॑ मरुतो॒ वृष॑प्सुना॒ रथे॑न॒ वृष॑नाभिना । आ श्ये॒नासो॒ न प॒क्षिणो॒ वृथा॑ नरो ह॒व्या नो॑ वी॒तये॑ गत ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे नेता मरुतो! सेचन-समर्थ अश्वो से युक्त, वर्षाकारक रूप से युक्त एवं वर्ष की नाभियुक्त रथ पर चढ़कर हव्य के समीप इस प्रकार शीघ्र आओ, जिस प्रकार बाज पक्षी आता है. (१०)
EN English Translation
O leader Maruto! Climb on the chariot, with a sachron-capable horse, rain-bearing and naveled of the year, and come near the havya as soon as the hawk bird comes. (10)
स॒मा॒नम॒ञ्ज्ये॑षां॒ वि भ्रा॑जन्ते रु॒क्मासो॒ अधि॑ बा॒हुषु॑ । दवि॑द्युतत्यृ॒ष्टयः॑ ॥ (११)

इन मरुतों का रूप प्रकट करने वाला आभरण समान है, इनकी भुजाओं में तेजस्वी सुनहरे हार विराजते हैं. इनके हाथों में आयुध चमकते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
The filling that reveals the form of these maruts is the same, with bright golden necklaces in their arms. The armaments shine in their hands. (11)
त उ॒ग्रासो॒ वृष॑ण उ॒ग्रबा॑हवो॒ नकि॑ष्ट॒नूषु॑ येतिरे । स्थि॒रा धन्वा॒न्यायु॑धा॒ रथे॑षु॒ वोऽनी॑के॒ष्वधि॒ श्रियः॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उग्र, वर्षाकारक एवं शक्तिशाली भुजाओं वाले मरुद्गण अपने शरीर की रक्षा का कोई यत्न नहीं करते. हे मरुतो! तुम्हारे रथों पर धनुष एवं बाण स्थिर है. सेना के अग्रभाग में तुम्हारी ही विजय होती है. (१२)
EN English Translation
Deserts with fierce, rain-resistant and powerful arms make no effort to protect their bodies. O Maruto! The bow and arrow on your chariots are fixed. You are the one who wins in the army's front. (12)
येषा॒मर्णो॒ न स॒प्रथो॒ नाम॑ त्वे॒षं शश्व॑ता॒मेक॒मिद्भु॒जे । वयो॒ न पित्र्यं॒ सहः॑ ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जल के समान सब ओर विस्तृत एवं दीप्तिशाली मरुतों का नाम एक है, फिर भी वे स्तोताओं के भोग के लिए उसी प्रकार यथेष्ट हैं. जिस प्रकार पिता से मिला हुआ अन्न होता है. (१३)
EN English Translation
Like water, the name of the wide and radiant maruts on all sides is one, yet they are similarly sufficient for the enjoyment of the stoetas. Just as there is food from the Father. (13)
तान्व॑न्दस्व म॒रुत॒स्ताँ उप॑ स्तुहि॒ तेषां॒ हि धुनी॑नाम् । अ॒राणां॒ न च॑र॒मस्तदे॑षां दा॒ना म॒ह्ना तदे॑षाम् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अंतरात्मा! उन मरुतों की स्तुति करो एवं वंदना करो. मरुतों का दान महिमायुक्त है. महान् मरुतों की अपेक्षा हम उसी प्रकार छोटे हैं, जिस प्रकार किसी महान् स्वामी का हीन सेवक होता है. (१४)
EN English Translation
O conscience! Praise and worship those maruts. The donation of the maruts is glorified. We are smaller than the great ones, just as a great master has an inferior servant. (14)
सु॒भगः॒ स व॑ ऊ॒तिष्वास॒ पूर्वा॑सु मरुतो॒ व्यु॑ष्टिषु । यो वा॑ नू॒नमु॒तास॑ति ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! तुम्हारी रक्षा प्राप्त करके स्तोता प्राचीनकाल में शोभन धनवाला बना था. जो स्तोता है, वह अवश्य तुम्हारा भक्त बनता है. (१५)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! By getting your protection, The Stota became Shobhan Dhanwala in ancient times. The one who is the psalm must become your devotee. (15)
यस्य॑ वा यू॒यं प्रति॑ वा॒जिनो॑ नर॒ आ ह॒व्या वी॒तये॑ ग॒थ । अ॒भि ष द्यु॒म्नैरु॒त वाज॑सातिभिः सु॒म्ना वो॑ धूतयो नशत् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे नेताओ एवं सबको कंपित करने वाले मरुतो! जिस हव्यधारी यजमान का हव्य भोग करने के लिए तुम आते हो, वह तुम्हारे दीप्तिशाली अन्नों एवं अन्न के भोगों द्वारा तुम्हारे सुखों को चारों ओर विस्तृत करता है. (१६)
EN English Translation
O leaders and the ones who make everyone tremble! The husband of the host you come to enjoy, he expands your pleasures around by your glorious food and the enjoyments of food. (16)
यथा॑ रु॒द्रस्य॑ सू॒नवो॑ दि॒वो वश॒न्त्यसु॑रस्य वे॒धसः॑ । युवा॑न॒स्तथेद॑सत् ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
रुद्रपुत्र, जल के कर्त्ता एवं सदा युवा मरुद्गण झुलोक से आकर हमें चाहें, हमारी स्तुति में इतना प्रभाव हो. (१७)
EN English Translation
Rudraputra, the creator of water and the ever-young deserts who want us to come from Jhuloka, let there be so much influence in our praise. (17)
ये चार्ह॑न्ति म॒रुतः॑ सु॒दान॑वः॒ स्मन्मी॒ळ्हुष॒श्चर॑न्ति॒ ये । अत॑श्चि॒दा न॒ उप॒ वस्य॑सा हृ॒दा युवा॑न॒ आ व॑वृध्वम् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो शोभनदान वाले यजमान मरुतों की पूजा करते हैं एवं जो वर्षाकारक मरुतों की हव्य द्वारा सेवा करते हैं, हम उन दोनों प्रकार के हैं. हे युवा मरुतो! हमें धन देने का निश्चय मन में करके हमसे मिलो. (१८)
EN English Translation
Those who worship the hosts of adornment, the maruts, and those who serve the rain-bearing maruts with a havya, we are both types of them. O young Maruto! Meet us with the determination to give us money in your mind. (18)
यून॑ ऊ॒ षु नवि॑ष्ठया॒ वृष्णः॑ पाव॒काँ अ॒भि सो॑भरे गि॒रा । गाय॒ गा इ॑व॒ चर्कृ॑षत् ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सौभरि ऋषि! तुम नित्य तरुण, वर्षाकारक एवं पवित्रकर्ता मरुतों की स्तुति अतिशय नवीन वावयों द्वारा उस सुंदर रूप से करो, जिस प्रकार किसान अपने बैलों की प्रशंसा करता है. (१९)
EN English Translation
O hundred sages! Praise the eternal young, rain-fed and holy Maruts with the most innovative ways in the same beautiful way that the farmer praises his oxen. (19)
सा॒हा ये सन्ति॑ मुष्टि॒हेव॒ हव्यो॒ विश्वा॑सु पृ॒त्सु होतृ॑षु । वृष्ण॑श्च॒न्द्रान्न सु॒श्रव॑स्तमान्गि॒रा वन्द॑स्व म॒रुतो॒ अह॑ ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मरुद्गण समस्त योद्धाओं द्वारा आह्वान करने पर शत्रुओं को हराते हैं. हे सौभरि! इस समय बुलाने योग्य मल्ल के समान, वर्षाकारक, सबको प्रसन्न करने वाले एवं परम यशस्वी मरुतों की स्तुति शोभनवचनों द्वारा करो. (२०)
EN English Translation
The deserts defeat the enemies when called upon by all the warriors. O hundred of them! Like the malla that is called at this time, praise the rain-maker, the one who pleases all, and the most successful maruts with the shobhanchanas. (20)
गाव॑श्चिद्घा समन्यवः सजा॒त्ये॑न मरुतः॒ सब॑न्धवः । रि॒ह॒ते क॒कुभो॑ मि॒थः ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे समान क्रोध वाले मरुतो! तुम्हारी माता गाएं भी समान जाति एवं समान बंधु वाली होने के कारण दिशाओं के रूप में एक-दूसरों को चाटती हैं. (२१)
EN English Translation
O Maruto of equal anger! Your mother sings also lick each other as directions because of being of the same jati and the same fraternity. (21)
मर्त॑श्चिद्वो नृतवो रुक्मवक्षस॒ उप॑ भ्रातृ॒त्वमाय॑ति । अधि॑ नो गात मरुतः॒ सदा॒ हि व॑ आपि॒त्वमस्ति॒ निध्रु॑वि ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे नृत्य करने वाले एवं वक्षस्थल पर सोने के आभूषण धारण करने वाले मरुतो! मनुष्य भी तुम्हारी मित्रता पाने के लिए तुम्हारे पास आता है. इसलिए तुम हमारे पक्ष के बनकर बोलो. अत्यंत धारण करने योग्य यज्ञ में तुम्हारा बंधुत्व सदा वर्तमान रहता है. (२२)
EN English Translation
O Maruto, those who dance and wear gold ornaments on the breastspot! Man also comes to you to find your friendship. So you speak on our side. In a highly worthy yajna, your brotherhood is always present. (22)
मरु॑तो॒ मारु॑तस्य न॒ आ भे॑ष॒जस्य॑ वहता सुदानवः । यू॒यं स॑खायः सप्तयः ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन दान वाले, सखा एवं गतिशील मरुतो! तुम अपनी ओषधि हमारे समीप लाओ. (२३)
EN English Translation
O you who are sociable, the strong and dynamic Maruto! You bring your medicine to us. (23)
याभिः॒ सिन्धु॒मव॑थ॒ याभि॒स्तूर्व॑थ॒ याभि॑र्दश॒स्यथा॒ क्रिवि॑म् । मयो॑ नो भूतो॒तिभि॑र्मयोभुवः शि॒वाभि॑रसचद्विषः ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सुख देने वाले एवं शत्रुशून्य मरुतो! जिन रक्षासाधनों द्वारा तुम समुद्र की रक्षा करते हो, जिनके द्वारा स्तोताओं के शत्रुओं को नष्ट करते हो, जिनसे तुमने गौतम को कुआं दिया था, सब प्रकार का कल्याण करने वाले उन्हीं रक्षासाधनों द्वारा हमें सुरक्षा प्रदान करो. (२४)
EN English Translation
O you who give happiness and are without enemies, die! By the means of defense by which you protect the sea, by which you destroy the enemies of the Stotas, from which you gave the well to Gautama, provide us with the same means of good. (24)
यत्सिन्धौ॒ यदसि॑क्न्यां॒ यत्स॑मु॒द्रेषु॑ मरुतः सुबर्हिषः । यत्पर्व॑तेषु भेष॒जम् ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन यश वाले मरुतो! सिंधु तथा असिक्नी नदी समुद्रों एवं पहाड़ों में जो ओषधियां हैं. (२५)
EN English Translation
O you who are blessed with glory, Maruto! The Indus and Asikni rivers are the herbs in the seas and mountains. (25)
विश्वं॒ पश्य॑न्तो बिभृथा त॒नूष्वा तेना॑ नो॒ अधि॑ वोचत । क्ष॒मा रपो॑ मरुत॒ आतु॑रस्य न॒ इष्क॑र्ता॒ विह्रु॑तं॒ पुनः॑ ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे सब ओषधियां पहचानकर हमारे शरीर की चिकित्सा के लिए ले आओ. हे मरुतो! हम लागों के बाधा वाले अंक को इस प्रकार पुनः ठीक करो, जिससे रोगी का रोग दूर हो जाए. (२६)
EN English Translation
Recognize all those herbs and bring them to the healing of our body. O Maruto! We re-fix the obstacle points of the people in such a way that the patient's disease is removed. (26)
