अ॒यं कृ॒त्नुरगृ॑भीतो विश्व॒जिदु॒द्भिदित्सोमः॑ । ऋषि॒र्विप्रः॒ काव्ये॑न ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये सोम सब कुछ करने वाले, अन्रों द्वारा गृहीत न होने वाले, सबके नेता, फल को उत्पन्न करने वाले, ज्ञानवान्, मेधावी एवं स्तोत्र द्वारा पूज्य हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
These Somas are the doers of everything, those who are not accepted by the anrs, the leader of all, the creator of fruits, the knowledgeable, the meritorious and the worshiper of the psalms. (1)
अ॒भ्यू॑र्णोति॒ यन्न॒ग्नं भि॒षक्ति॒ विश्वं॒ यत्तु॒रम् । प्रेम॒न्धः ख्य॒न्निः श्रो॒णो भू॑त् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम नंगों को ढकते हैं एवं सभी रोगियों की चिकित्सा करते हैं. सोम ऊंचे होने पर भी देखते हैं और लूले होकर भी चलते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Mon covers the nuns and treats all the patients. Soma sees even when he is high and walks even when lulle. (2)
त्वं सो॑म तनू॒कृद्भ्यो॒ द्वेषो॑भ्यो॒ऽन्यकृ॑तेभ्यः । उ॒रु य॒न्तासि॒ वरू॑थम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम शरीर का छेदन करने वाले अन्य राक्षसों के प्रिय कार्यो से हमारी रक्षा करते हो. (३)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You protect us from the beloved actions of other demons who pierce the body. (3)
त्वं चि॒त्ती तव॒ दक्षै॑र्दि॒व आ पृ॑थि॒व्या ऋ॑जीषिन् । यावी॑र॒घस्य॑ चि॒द्द्वेषः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋजीष वाले सोम! तुम अपनी प्रजा और बलों द्वारा ्युलोक एवं धरती से हमें मारने वाले शत्रु के कार्यो को अलग करो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Sages Mon! Separate the actions of the enemy who killed us from the earth and by your people and forces. (4)
अ॒र्थिनो॒ यन्ति॒ चेदर्थं॒ गच्छा॒निद्द॒दुषो॑ रा॒तिम् । व॒वृ॒ज्युस्तृष्य॑तः॒ काम॑म् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यदि धन की अभिलाषा करने वाले धनी के पास जाते हैं तो उन्हें दान प्राप्त होता है एवं मांगने वाले की अभिलाषा पूरी होती है. (५)
EN English Translation
If those who desire wealth go to the rich, they receive donations and the desire of the seeker is fulfilled. (5)
वि॒दद्यत्पू॒र्व्यं न॒ष्टमुदी॑मृता॒युमी॑रयत् । प्रेमायु॑स्तारी॒दती॑र्णम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जब कोई अपना प्राचीन काल में नष्ट हुआ धन प्राप्त करता है उस समय सोम उसे यज्ञकार्य की प्रेरणा देते हैं एवं दीर्घ जीवन प्राप्त कराते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
When one receives one's wealth destroyed in ancient times, soma inspires him to perform yajna and attains a long life. (6)
सु॒शेवो॑ नो मृळ॒याकु॒रदृ॑प्तक्रतुरवा॒तः । भवा॑ नः सोम॒ शं हृ॒दे ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पिए हुए सोम! तुम हमारे हृदय में शोभन सुख वाले, सुखदाता सावधान बुद्धि वाले, गतिहीन एवं कल्याणकारी होते हो. (७)
EN English Translation
Oh drunk Mon! You are the happy ones in our hearts, the happy ones, the careful-minded, the sedentary and the welfare- to-be. (7)
मा नः॑ सोम॒ सं वी॑विजो॒ मा वि बी॑भिषथा राजन् । मा नो॒ हार्दि॑ त्वि॒षा व॑धीः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे राजा सोम! हमें तुम चंचल अंग वाला एवं भयभीत मत बनाओ. तुम प्रकाश द्वारा हमारे हृदय का वध मत करो. (८)
EN English Translation
O King Mon! Don't make us you playful and frightened. You do not slay our hearts by the light. (8)
अव॒ यत्स्वे स॒धस्थे॑ दे॒वानां॑ दुर्म॒तीरीक्षे॑ । राज॒न्नप॒ द्विषः॑ सेध॒ मीढ्वो॒ अप॒ स्रिधः॑ सेध ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे राजा सोम! तुम्हारे निवासस्थान में देवों की कोपबुद्धि प्रवेश न करे. तुम शत्रुओं को दूर करो. सोमरस पिलाने वाले, हिंसकों को मारो. (९)
EN English Translation
O King Mon! Let not the wisdom of the gods enter your dwelling place. You remove the enemies. Kill the somras drinkers, the violent. (9)
