Mandal 9 • Sukta 105
तं वः॑ सखायो॒ मदा॑य पुना॒नम॒भि गा॑यत । शिशुं॒ न य॒ज्ञैः स्व॑दयन्त गू॒र्तिभिः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विज् मित्रो! देवों के नशे के लिए शुद्ध होने वाले सोम की स्तुति करो. बच्चे को जिस प्रकार गहनों से सजाते हैं, उसी प्रकार यज्ञसाध्य हव्यों और स्तुतियों से सोम को सुशोभित करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O you friends! Praise the mon who is purified for the intoxication of the gods. Just as you decorate the child with ornaments, beautify Som with yajnasadhyas and hymns. (1)
सं व॒त्स इ॑व मा॒तृभि॒रिन्दु॑र्हिन्वा॒नो अ॑ज्यते । दे॒वा॒वीर्मदो॑ म॒तिभिः॒ परि॑ष्कृतः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों के रक्षक, नशीले, स्तुतियों द्वारा सुशोभित एवं प्रेरित सोम जल के साथ उसी प्रकार मिलाए जाते हैं, जिस प्रकार माता गाय अपने बछड़े को अपने थन से मिलाती है. (२)
EN English Translation
The protectors of the gods, intoxicated, adorned and inspired by the praises are mixed with som water in the same way that the mother cow mixes her calf with her trunk. (2)
अ॒यं दक्षा॑य॒ साध॑नो॒ऽयं शर्धा॑य वी॒तये॑ । अ॒यं दे॒वेभ्यो॒ मधु॑मत्तमः सु॒तः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये सोम देवों के बल के साधन, वेगजनक और भक्ष्य बनते हैं एवं इंद्रादि देवों को मधुरता प्रदान करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
These somas become the instruments of force of the gods, the vegetative and the bhaakshya and give sweetness to the Indradi devas. (3)
गोम॑न्न इन्दो॒ अश्व॑वत्सु॒तः सु॑दक्ष धन्व । शुचिं॑ ते॒ वर्ण॒मधि॒ गोषु॑ दीधरम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन बल वाले सोम! तुम निचुड़कर हमारे लिए गायों और घोड़ों से युक्त धन लाओ. मैं तुम्हारे पवित्र रस को गायों के दूध के साथ मिलाता हूं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Sobhan Bale Wale Mon! You can bring us money containing cows and horses. I mix your holy juice with the milk of the cows. (4)
स नो॑ हरीणां पत॒ इन्दो॑ दे॒वप्स॑रस्तमः । सखे॑व॒ सख्ये॒ नर्यो॑ रु॒चे भ॑व ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे घोड़ों के स्वामी एवं अतिशय दीप्तिशाली सोम! तुम ऋत्विजों के हितसाधक होकर हमारे लिए दीप्ति वाले बनो. (५)
EN English Translation
O lord of horses and the most radiant Som! Be the benefactors of the ritvis and be the ones of the light for us. (5)
सने॑मि॒ त्वम॒स्मदाँ अदे॑वं॒ कं चि॑द॒त्रिण॑म् । सा॒ह्वाँ इ॑न्दो॒ परि॒ बाधो॒ अप॑ द्व॒युम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम हमारे साथ पुरानी मित्रता निभाओ. नम्रताशून्य एवं अधिक खाने वाले राक्षस को हमसे दूर भगाओ. तुम शत्रुओं को पराजित करते हुए हमें बाधा पहुंचाने वाले लोगों को पीड़ित करो. तुम हमें बाहरी और भीतरी माया रखने वालों से बचाओ. (६)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You make an old friendship with us. Drive away from us the gentle and overeating monster. You defeat the enemies and suffer those who hinder us. You save us from those who hold the outer and inner maya. (6)
