ए॒ते अ॑सृग्र॒मिन्द॑वस्ति॒रः प॒वित्र॑मा॒शवः॑ । विश्वा॑न्य॒भि सौभ॑गा ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋत्विज् सभी धनों को पाने के उद्देश्य से शीघ्र गति वाले एवं शुद्ध होते हुए सोम को दशापवित्र के समीप ले जाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
In order to get all the wealth, the Ritvijas move soma closer to the Dashapavitra with a quick pace and purity. (1)
वि॒घ्नन्तो॑ दुरि॒ता पु॒रु सु॒गा तो॒काय॑ वा॒जिनः॑ । तना॑ कृ॒ण्वन्तो॒ अर्व॑ते ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बहुत से पापों को नष्ट करने वाले तथा हमारे पुत्रों और अश्वों को सुख देने वाले शक्तिशाली सोम दशापवित्र के समीप जाते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The mighty Som, who destroys many sins and gives happiness to our sons and horses, approaches dashapavitra. (2)
कृ॒ण्वन्तो॒ वरि॑वो॒ गवे॒ऽभ्य॑र्षन्ति सुष्टु॒तिम् । इळा॑म॒स्मभ्यं॑ सं॒यत॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम हमारे लिए और हमारी गायों के लिए सुख देने वाला धन तथा अन्न देते हुए हमारी शोभन स्तुति के सामने जाते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Som goes in front of our shobhan praise, giving us happiness-giving money and food for us and our cows. (3)
असा॑व्यं॒शुर्मदा॑या॒प्सु दक्षो॑ गिरि॒ष्ठाः । श्ये॒नो न योनि॒मास॑दत् ॥ (४)

पर्वत पर उत्पन्न, नशे के लिए निचोड़े गए व जलों में बढ़े हुए सोम बाज पक्षी के समान अपने स्थान पर आकर बैठते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
The mon falcons, produced on the mountain, squeezed for intoxication and grown up in the waters, come and sit in their place like birds. (4)
शु॒भ्रमन्धो॑ दे॒ववा॑तम॒प्सु धू॒तो नृभिः॑ सु॒तः । स्वद॑न्ति॒ गावः॒ पयो॑भिः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गाएं अपने दूध के द्वारा देवों के प्रार्थित सोमरूप शोभन अन्न को स्वादिष्ट बनाती हैं. ऋत्विजों द्वारा निचोड़े गए सोम जल के द्वारा शुद्ध होते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Sings make the somarup shobhan food tasty for the gods through their milk. The mons squeezed by the ritwijas are purified by water. (5)
आदी॒मश्वं॒ न हेता॒रोऽशू॑शुभन्न॒मृता॑य । मध्वो॒ रसं॑ सध॒मादे॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋत्विज् अमरता पाने के लिए इस नशीले सोम के रस को यज्ञ में इस प्रकार अलंकृत करते हैं, जैसे युद्ध में जाने वाला घोड़ा सजाया जाता है. (६)
EN English Translation
In order to attain immortality, the ritwijs embellish the juice of this intoxicating Mon in the yagna in such a way that the horse going to war is decorated. (6)
यास्ते॒ धारा॑ मधु॒श्चुतोऽसृ॑ग्रमिन्द ऊ॒तये॑ । ताभिः॑ प॒वित्र॒मास॑दः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम्हारी जो मधुर रस टपकाने वाली धाराएं रक्षा के लिए बनाई जाती हैं, उनके साथ तुम दशापवित्र पर बैठो. (७)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Sit on the dashapavitra with the sweet juice-dripping streams that are made to protect you. (7)
सो अ॒र्षेन्द्रा॑य पी॒तये॑ ति॒रो रोमा॑ण्य॒व्यया॑ । सीद॒न्योना॒ वने॒ष्वा ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे निचोड़े हुए सोम! तुम भेड़ के बालों से बने दशापवित्र को पार करके इंद्र के लिए अपने पात्र में अपने स्थान पर टपको. (८)
EN English Translation
O squeezed Mon! You cross the dasapavitra made of sheep's hair and tap into your place in your vessel for Indra. (8)
त्वमि॑न्दो॒ परि॑ स्रव॒ स्वादि॑ष्ठो॒ अङ्गि॑रोभ्यः । व॒रि॒वो॒विद्घृ॒तं पयः॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्वादिष्ट एवं हमें धन देने वाले सोम! तुम अंगिरागोत्रीय ऋत्विजों के लिए दूध और घी बरसाओ. (९)
EN English Translation
O yummy and giving us money Mon! You shower milk and ghee for the Angiragotrian ritvijs. (9)
अ॒यं विच॑र्षणिर्हि॒तः पव॑मानः॒ स चे॑तति । हि॒न्वा॒न आप्यं॑ बृ॒हत् ॥ (१०)

ये विशेष द्रष्टा, पात्रों में रखे हुए एवं पवित्र होते हुए सोम! जल में उत्पन्न महान् अन्न को प्रेरित करते हुए सबके द्वारा जाने जाते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
These special seers, kept in the characters and being holy Mon! They are known by all by everyone, inspiring the great food produced in the water. (10)
ए॒ष वृषा॒ वृष॑व्रतः॒ पव॑मानो अशस्ति॒हा । कर॒द्वसू॑नि दा॒शुषे॑ ॥ (११)

ये अभिलाषापूरक, बैल के समान कर्म करने वाले, राक्षसों को मारने वाले एवं शुद्ध होते हुए सोम हव्यदाता यजमान को धन देते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
They give money to the host who is full of desire, who does acts like a bull, who kills demons and is cleansed. (11)
आ प॑वस्व सह॒स्रिणं॑ र॒यिं गोम॑न्तम॒श्विन॑म् । पु॒रु॒श्च॒न्द्रं पु॑रु॒स्पृह॑म् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम हजारों संख्याओं वाला, गायों से युक्त, अश्वसहित, बहुतों को प्रसन्न करने वाला एवं अनेक द्वारा चाहने योग्य धन दो. (१२)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You give money of thousands of numbers, containing cows, with horses, pleasing to many and desirable by many. (12)
ए॒ष स्य परि॑ षिच्यते मर्मृ॒ज्यमा॑न आ॒युभिः॑ । उ॒रु॒गा॒यः क॒विक्र॑तुः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बहुतों द्वारा स्तुत एवं क्रांत कर्मो वाले ये सोम मनुष्यों द्वारा शुद्ध होते हुए बहते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
These somas, which are praised and cursed by many, flow through humans being purified. (13)
स॒हस्रो॑तिः श॒ताम॑घो वि॒मानो॒ रज॑सः क॒विः । इन्द्रा॑य पवते॒ मदः॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
असीमित रक्षाओं वाले, बहुत धन के स्वामी, लोक के निर्माता, क्रांत-कर्म वाले और नशीले सोम इंद्र के लिए टपकते है. (१४)
EN English Translation
Those with unlimited defenses, the masters of much wealth, the creator of the folk, the kranta-karma-walas and the intoxicating mon drips for Indra. (14)
गि॒रा जा॒त इ॒ह स्तु॒त इन्दु॒रिन्द्रा॑य धीयते । विर्योना॑ वस॒तावि॑व ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उत्पन्न एवं स्तुतियों द्वारा प्रशंसित सोम इंद्र के निमित्त इस यज्ञ में इस प्रकार जाते हैं, जैसे पक्षी अपने घोंसले में जाता है. (१५)
EN English Translation
The born and admired by the praises go to this yagna for the cause of Som Indra as a bird goes into its nest. (15)
पव॑मानः सु॒तो नृभिः॒ सोमो॒ वाज॑मिवासरत् । च॒मूषु॒ शक्म॑ना॒सद॑म् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋत्विजों द्वारा निचोड़े गए सोम अपनी शक्ति से यज्ञस्थान में बैठने हेतु इस प्रकार जाते हैं, जैसे कोई युद्ध में जाता है. (१६)
EN English Translation
The Som, squeezed by the Ritvijas, goes to sit in the yagnasthan with his power as if one goes to war. (16)
तं त्रि॑पृ॒ष्ठे त्रि॑वन्धु॒रे रथे॑ युञ्जन्ति॒ यात॑वे । ऋषी॑णां स॒प्त धी॒तिभिः॑ ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋषियों का रथ यज्ञ है. उस में सोम निचोड़ने के तीन काल, तीन पीठ, तीनों वेद, तीन स्थान एवं सात छंद सात रस्सियां हैं. ऋत्विज् सोमरूपी रथ को देवों के पास जाने के लिए जोतते हैं. (१७)
EN English Translation
The chariot of the sages is yajna. It has three periods of som squeeze, three backs, three vedas, three places and seven verses seven ropes. The ritwija somarupi plough the chariot to go to the devas. (17)
तं सो॑तारो धन॒स्पृत॑मा॒शुं वाजा॑य॒ यात॑वे । हरिं॑ हिनोत वा॒जिन॑म् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले लोगो! धन की सृष्टि करने वाले, शक्तिशाली एवं शीघ्रगति वाले सोमरूपी घोड़े को यज्ञरूपी युद्ध में जाने के लिए प्रेरणा दो. (१८)
EN English Translation
O somers squeezing people! Inspire the somarupi horse that creates wealth, the powerful and the quick-paced Somaroopi, to go into the battle of yajnarupi. (18)
आ॒वि॒शन्क॒लशं॑ सु॒तो विश्वा॒ अर्ष॑न्न॒भि श्रियः॑ । शूरो॒ न गोषु॑ तिष्ठति ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
निचोड़े हुए, द्रोणकलश की ओर जाते हुए तथा हमारे लिए सब संपत्तियां देते हुए सोम यज्ञभूमि में इस प्रकार भयरहित होकर ठहरते हैं, जैसे शत्रु से जीते हुए पशुओं में शूर ठहरता है. (१९)
EN English Translation
Squeezing, going towards Dronkalash and giving us all the possessions, Som stays in the yagnabhoomi without fear, just as in the animals who have won from the enemy, the shura stays. (19)
आ त॑ इन्दो॒ मदा॑य॒ कं पयो॑ दुहन्त्या॒यवः॑ । दे॒वा दे॒वेभ्यो॒ मधु॑ ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! स्तोतागण तुम्हारा मधुर रस देवों के मद के निमित्त दुहते हैं. (२०)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! The psalms milk your sweet juice for the purpose of the gods. (20)
आ नः॒ सोमं॑ प॒वित्र॒ आ सृ॒जता॒ मधु॑मत्तमम् । दे॒वेभ्यो॑ देव॒श्रुत्त॑मम् ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विजो! देवों के अत्यंत प्रिय व अत्यधिक मधुर हमारे सोम को इंद्रादि देवों के लिए दशापवित्र पर शुद्ध करो. (२१)
EN English Translation
Hey Ritvijo! Purify our mon, the most beloved and extremely sweet of the gods, on dashapavitra for the indradi devas. (21)
ए॒ते सोमा॑ असृक्षत गृणा॒नाः श्रव॑से म॒हे । म॒दिन्त॑मस्य॒ धार॑या ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
खुत किए जाते हुए ये सोम ऋत्विजों द्वारा महान् अन्न पाने के लिए अत्यंत नशीली धारा को बनाते हैं. (२२)
EN English Translation
While being killed, these som ritvijas make a very intoxicating stream to get great food. (22)
अ॒भि गव्या॑नि वी॒तये॑ नृ॒म्णा पु॑ना॒नो अ॑र्षसि । स॒नद्वा॑जः॒ परि॑ स्रव ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शुद्ध होते हुए सोम! तुम भक्षण योग्य बनने के लिए गायों के दूध आदि से मिलते हो. तुम हमें अन्न देते हुए टपको. (२३)
EN English Translation
O you are pure, Mon! You meet the milk of cows etc. to become eatable. You give us food. (23)
उ॒त नो॒ गोम॑ती॒रिषो॒ विश्वा॑ अर्ष परि॒ष्टुभः॑ । गृ॒णा॒नो ज॒मद॑ग्निना ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम मुझ जमदग्नि की स्तुति सुनकर मुझे गायों से युक्त एवं सभी जगह प्रशंसित अन्न दो. (२४)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You hear me praising Jamdagni and give me the food containing cows and admired everywhere. (24)
पव॑स्व वा॒चो अ॑ग्रि॒यः सोम॑ चि॒त्राभि॑रू॒तिभिः॑ । अ॒भि विश्वा॑नि॒ काव्या॑ ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे प्रमुख सोम! तुम हमारी स्तुतियां सुनकर पूज्य रक्षासाधनों के साथ बरसो एवं हमारे स्तुतिवाक्यों के अनुसार फल दो. (२५)
EN English Translation
O chief Mon! Listen to our praises and shower it with the means of worshipful defense and bear fruit according to our praises. (25)
त्वं स॑मु॒द्रिया॑ अ॒पो॑ऽग्रि॒यो वाच॑ ई॒रय॑न् । पव॑स्व विश्वमेजय ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे विश्व को कंपाने वाले एवं प्रमुख सोम! तुम हमारे स्तुतिवचनों को प्रेरित करते हुए अंतरिक्ष से जलवर्षा करो. (२६)
EN English Translation
O world-shaking and chief Mon! You pour water from space while inspiring our eulogies. (26)
तुभ्ये॒मा भुव॑ना कवे महि॒म्ने सो॑म तस्थिरे । तुभ्य॑मर्षन्ति॒ सिन्ध॑वः ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे क्रांत कर्म वाले सोम! तुम्हारी महिमा से ही ये लोक स्थित हैं एवं नदियां तुम्हारी ही आज्ञा का पालन करती हैं. (२७)
EN English Translation
O Krant Karma Wale Mon! It is by your glory that these people are located and the rivers obey you. (27)
प्र ते॑ दि॒वो न वृ॒ष्टयो॒ धारा॑ यन्त्यस॒श्चतः॑ । अ॒भि शु॒क्रामु॑प॒स्तिर॑म् ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम्हारी अलग-अलग धाराएं आकाश से गिरने वाली वर्षा के समान सफेद रंग के भेड़ के बालों से बने दशापवित्र की ओर जाती हैं. (२८)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Your different streams lead to the dashapavitra made of white sheep's hair, like the rain falling from the sky. (28)
इन्द्रा॒येन्दुं॑ पुनीतनो॒ग्रं दक्षा॑य॒ साध॑नम् । ई॒शा॒नं वी॒तिरा॑धसम् ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विजो! उग्र, बल के साधक, धनों के स्वामी एवं धन देने वाले सोम को इंद्र के लिए शुद्ध करो. (२९)
EN English Translation
Hey Ritvijo! Purify the fierce, seeker of force, lord of wealth and giving wealth for Indra. (29)
पव॑मान ऋ॒तः क॒विः सोमः॑ प॒वित्र॒मास॑दत् । दध॑त्स्तो॒त्रे सु॒वीर्य॑म् ॥ (३०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सच्चे, क्रांतकर्म वाले एवं शुद्ध होते हुए सोम हमारी स्तुति सुनकर उत्तम शक्ति धारण करते हुए दशापवित्र पर बैठते हैं. (३०)
EN English Translation
The true, the revolutionary and the pure, Som, listening to our praise, sits on the Dashapavitra, holding the best power. (30)
