प्र तु द्र॑व॒ परि॒ कोशं॒ नि षी॑द॒ नृभिः॑ पुना॒नो अ॒भि वाज॑मर्ष । अश्वं॒ न त्वा॑ वा॒जिनं॑ म॒र्जय॒न्तोऽच्छा॑ ब॒र्ही र॑श॒नाभि॑र्नयन्ति ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! दौड़कर आओ और द्रोणकलश में बैठो. तुम ऋत्विजों द्वारा पवित्र होते हुए यजमान को अन्न दो. अध्वर्युजन यज्ञ में ले जाने के लिए सोम को जल द्वारा इस प्रकार साफ करते हैं, जिस प्रकार शक्तिशाली घोड़े को नहलाया जाता है. (१)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Come running and sit in the dronakalash. You, being sanctified by the ritvijs, give food to the host. To be taken to the Adhwaryujan Yajna, the som is cleaned by water in such a way as a powerful horse is bathed. (1)
स्वा॒यु॒धः प॑वते दे॒व इन्दु॑रशस्ति॒हा वृ॒जनं॒ रक्ष॑माणः । पि॒ता दे॒वानां॑ जनि॒ता सु॒दक्षो॑ विष्ट॒म्भो दि॒वो ध॒रुणः॑ पृथि॒व्याः ॥ (२)

शोभन आयुध वाले, दीप्तिशाली, राक्षसों का नाश करने वाले, उपद्रव से रक्षा करने वाले, देवों के पालनकर्ता, उत्पन्न करने वाले, शोभन शक्तियुक्त, स्वर्ग को सहारा देने वाले एवं धरती के धारक सोम निचुड़ते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The adorned armaments, the radiant, the destroyers of demons, those who guard from mischief, the nurturers of the gods, the creators, the powerful, the ones who support heaven and the holders of the earth, soma nichud. (2)
ऋषि॒र्विप्रः॑ पुरए॒ता जना॑नामृ॒भुर्धीर॑ उ॒शना॒ काव्ये॑न । स चि॑द्विवेद॒ निहि॑तं॒ यदा॑सामपी॒च्यं१॒॑ गुह्यं॒ नाम॒ गोना॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋषि, मेधावी, सबके आगे चलने वाले, दीप्तिशाली एवं धीर उशना अपने स्तोत्रों द्वारा गायों में छिपे हुए एवं गोपनीय दूध को प्राप्त करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Rishis, meritorious, forward-to-all, radiant and patient Ushana receive the milk hidden in cows through their hymns. (3)
ए॒ष स्य ते॒ मधु॑माँ इन्द्र॒ सोमो॒ वृषा॒ वृष्णे॒ परि॑ प॒वित्रे॑ अक्षाः । स॒ह॒स्र॒साः श॑त॒सा भू॑रि॒दावा॑ शश्वत्त॒मं ब॒र्हिरा वा॒ज्य॑स्थात् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वर्षा करने वाले इंद्र! तुम्हारे लिए मधुर एवं वर्षक सोम दशापवित्र में होकर छनते हैं. सैकड़ों और हजारों धनों के देने वाले, अधिक धन के दाता, नित्य एवं शक्तिशाली सोम यज्ञ में स्थित रहते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O rain giving Indra! For you every year, the delicious Somas are filtered through the Dashapavitra. The giver of hundreds and thousands of wealth, the giver of more wealth, remains situated in the eternal and powerful Soma Yagya. (4)
ए॒ते सोमा॑ अ॒भि ग॒व्या स॒हस्रा॑ म॒हे वाजा॑या॒मृता॑य॒ श्रवां॑सि । प॒वित्रे॑भिः॒ पव॑माना असृग्रञ्छ्रव॒स्यवो॒ न पृ॑त॒नाजो॒ अत्याः॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये सोम गाय के दूध, दही व हजारों अन्नों को लक्ष्य करके दशापवित्र के छेदों से छनते हुए महान् अन्न और अमृत के लिए इस प्रकार शुद्ध किए जाते हैं, जिस प्रकार सेना को जीतने वाला अश्व नहलाया जाता है. (५)
EN English Translation
These soms are aimed at cow's milk, curd and thousands of grains and purified for great food and amrit by filtering them through the holes of dashapavitra in such a way that a horse that wins the army is bathed. (5)
परि॒ हि ष्मा॑ पुरुहू॒तो जना॑नां॒ विश्वास॑र॒द्भोज॑ना पू॒यमा॑नः । अथा भ॑र श्येनभृत॒ प्रयां॑सि र॒यिं तुञ्जा॑नो अ॒भि वाज॑मर्ष ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए हुए एवं शुद्ध होते हुए सोम मनुष्यों को सभी भोज्य अन्न देते हैं. हे बाज के द्वारा लाए हुए सोम! हमें अन्न एवं धन दो तथा अन्नरूपी रस की ओर जाओ. (६)
EN English Translation
Called and purified by many, The Mon gives all the food to human beings. O Mon brought by Baj! Give us food and money and go to the food juice. (6)
ए॒ष सु॑वा॒नः परि॒ सोमः॑ प॒वित्रे॒ सर्गो॒ न सृ॒ष्टो अ॑दधाव॒दर्वा॑ । ति॒ग्मे शिशा॑नो महि॒षो न शृङ्गे॒ गा ग॒व्यन्न॒भि शूरो॒ न सत्वा॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये निचुड़ते हुए एवं टपकने वाले सोम छोड़े हुए घोड़े के समान दशापवित्र की ओर दौड़ते हैं. सोम अपने सींगों को तेज करने वाले भैंसे के समान एवं गाय चाहने वाले शूर के समान दौड़ते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
They run towards Dashapavitra like a horse leaving the dripping and dripping mons. Som runs like a buffalo sharpening his horns and like a cow-seeking knight. (7)
ए॒षा य॑यौ पर॒माद॒न्तरद्रेः॒ कूचि॑त्स॒तीरू॒र्वे गा वि॑वेद । दि॒वो न वि॒द्युत्स्त॒नय॑न्त्य॒भ्रैः सोम॑स्य ते पवत इन्द्र॒ धारा॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस की यह धारा ऊंचे स्थान से पात्र की ओर जाती है. इसी धारा ने पणियों द्वारा छिपाई हुई गायों को प्राप्त किया था. हे इंद्र! बिजली के समान शब्द करने वाली यह सोमधारा तुम्हारे लिए ही गिरती है. (८)
EN English Translation
This stream of somras goes from a high place to the vessel. It was this stream that had obtained the cows hidden by the panies. O Indra! This somdhara, which has the same words as electricity, falls for you only. (8)
उ॒त स्म॑ रा॒शिं परि॑ यासि॒ गोना॒मिन्द्रे॑ण सोम स॒रथं॑ पुना॒नः । पू॒र्वीरिषो॑ बृह॒तीर्जी॑रदानो॒ शिक्षा॑ शचीव॒स्तव॒ ता उ॑प॒ष्टुत् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शुद्ध होते हुए सोम! तुमने इंद्र के साथ एक रथ पर बैठकर पणियों द्वारा चुराई हुई गायों को प्राप्त किया था. हे शीघ्र फलदाता सोम! हम तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. तुम हमें विशाल धन दो. हे अन्नयुक्त सोम! सारा अन्न तुम्हारा है. (९)
EN English Translation
O you are pure, Mon! You sat on a chariot with Indra and received cows stolen by the pangs. O soon to bear fruit! We praise you. You give us huge wealth. O annalyukta mon! All the grain is yours. (9)
