उच्छि॑ष्टे॒ नाम॑ रू॒पं चोच्छि॑ष्टे लो॒क आहि॑तः । उच्छि॑ष्ट॒ इन्द्र॑श्चा॒ग्निश्च॒ विश्व॑म॒न्तः स॒माहि॑तम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उच्छिष्ट अर्थात् होम के बाद बचे हुए भात में नाम और रूप वाला विश्व स्थित है. इस उच्छिष्ट में पृथ्वी आदि सभी लोक स्थित हैं. उच्छिष्ट ही इंद्र और अग्ने हैं. होम के बाद शेष बचे हुए इस भात में ईश्वर ने सारा जगत् स्थापित किया है. (१)
EN English Translation
The world with name and form is located in the remaining rice after Uchishta i.e. Home. All the worlds like earth etc. are located in this uchishta. The uchishtas are Indra and Agni. After the home, God has established the whole world in this remaining rice. (1)
उच्छि॑ष्टे॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी विश्वं॑ भू॒तं स॒माहि॑तम् । आपः॑ समु॒द्र उच्छि॑ष्टे च॒न्द्रमा॒ वात॒ आहि॑तः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उच्छिष्ट अर्थात् होम करने के बाद बचे हुए भात में स्वर्ग, पृथ्वी तथा उन में स्थित प्राणी आश्रित हैं. इस उच्छिष्ट में जल, सागर, चंद्रमा और वायु स्थित हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Heaven, earth and the creatures located in them are dependent in the remaining rice after doing uchishta i.e. hom. Water, ocean, moon and air are located in this uchishta. (2)
सन्नुच्छि॑ष्टे॒ असं॑श्चो॒भौ मृ॒त्युर्वाजः॑ प्र॒जाप॑तिः । लौ॒क्या उच्छि॑ष्ट॒ आय॑त्ता॒ व्रश्च॒ द्रश्चापि॒ श्रीर्मयि॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उच्छिष्ट अर्थात् होम करने के बाद शेष बचे भात में सत् और असत् दोनों के अतिरिक्त मृत्यु, मृत्यु का बल, प्रजापति तथा प्रजाएं स्थापित हैं. वरुण और सोम भी इस में स्थित हैं. उन की कृपा से मुझ में भी श्री स्थित हो. (३)
EN English Translation
In addition to both sat and asat, death, prajapati and subjects are established in the remaining rice after doing uchishta i.e. homa. Varun and Som are also located in it. By his grace, Shri is also located in me. (3)
दृ॒ढो दृं॑हस्थि॒रो न्यो ब्रह्म॑ विश्व॒सृजो॒ दश॑ । नाभि॑मिव स॒र्वत॑श्च॒क्रमुच्छि॑ष्टे दे॒वताः॑ श्रि॒ताः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दृढ़ अंग वाला देव, दृढ़ होने के कारण स्थिर किया हुआ लोम, सभी प्राणी, जगत् का कारण ब्रह्म, दस प्राण एवं सभी देवता हुतशिष्ट अर्थात् हवन करने के बाद शेष बचे भात में उसी प्रकार आश्रित हैं, जिस प्रकार रथ का पहिया धुरी पर आश्रित रहता है. (४)
EN English Translation
The god with a firm limb, the lotus fixed due to being firm, all beings, the cause of the world brahma, ten pranas and all the gods are dependent on the remaining rice after performing hutashishta i.e. havan, in the same way as the wheel of the chariot depends on the axis. (4)
ऋक्साम॒ यजु॒रुच्छि॑ष्ट उद्गी॒थः प्रस्तु॑तं स्तु॒तम् । हि॑ङ्का॒र उच्छि॑ष्टे॒ स्वरः॒ साम्नो॑ मे॒डिश्च॒ तन्मयि॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋग्वेद, सामवेद और यजुर्वेद के मंत्र, इन का गाया हुआ भाग एवं प्रस्तुत स्तुतियां उच्छिष्ट अर्थात् होम के बाद बचे हुए भात में आश्रित हैं. सभी उद्गाताओं के द्वारा प्रयोग किया जाता हुआ 'हि' शब्द, सामवेद के स्वर, सामवेद संबंधित वाणी-ये सब यज्ञ शेष के लिए मुझ में स्थित हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
The mantras of Rigveda, Samaveda and Yajurveda, the part sung and the praise presented are dependent on the remaining rice after uchishta i.e. home. The word 'Hi' used by all the originators, the vowels of Samaveda, the speech related to Samaveda - all these are located in me for the rest of the yajna. (5)
ऐ॒न्द्रा॒ग्नं पा॑वमा॒नं म॒हाना॑म्नीर्महाव्र॒तम् । उच्छि॑ष्टे य॒ज्ञस्याङ्गा॑न्य॒न्तर्गर्भ॑ इव मा॒तरि॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र और अग्नि की स्तुति से संबंधित सामवेद के मंत्र, तीनों में सोम देवता से संबंधित सामवेद के मंत्र, महानाम्नी और महाव्रत नाम के स्तोत्र तथा यज्ञ के अंग होम के बाद बचे भात में उसी प्रकार स्थित हैं, जिस प्रकार गर्भ माता के पेट में स्थित रहता है. (६)
EN English Translation
The mantras of Samaveda related to the praise of Indra and Agni, the mantras of Samaveda related to Som Devta, the stotra named Mahanamani and Mahavrata and the organs of yajna are located in the rice left after the home, in the same way as the womb is located in the stomach of the mother. (6)
रा॑ज॒सूयं॑ वाज॒पेय॑मग्निष्टो॒मस्तद॑ध्व॒रः । अ॑र्काश्वमे॒धावुच्छि॑ष्टे जी॒वब॑र्हिर्म॒दिन्त॑मः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
राजसूय, वाजपेय और अग्निष्टोम नाम के यज्ञ हिंसा रहित हैं. अर्क, अश्वमेध, जीवबर्हि तथा मादक सोमयाग-ये सभी उच्छिष्ट अर्थात् होम से शेष बचे भात में आश्रित हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Yagyas named Rajasuya, Vajpeya and Agnishtom are violence-free. Ark, Ashwamedha, Jeevabarhi and Intoxicating Somayag - all of them are dependent on the rice left from the uchishta i.e. home. (7)
अ॑ग्न्या॒धेय॒मथो॑ दी॒क्षा का॑म॒प्रश्छन्द॑सा स॒ह । उत्स॑न्ना य॒ज्ञाः स॒त्राण्युच्छि॒ष्टेऽधि॑ स॒माहि॑ताः ॥ (८)

अग्नि के आधान के पश्चात सोम याग की दीक्षा, यजमान की इच्छाएं पूर्ण करने वाले मंत्रों के साथ लुप्तप्राय यज्ञ एवं सोमयाग उच्छिष्ट रूपी ब्रह्म में आश्रित हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
After the transfusion of agni, the initiation of Som Yag, the endangered yajna with mantras that fulfill the wishes of the host and Somyag are dependent on The Brahm in the form of Uchishta. (8)
अ॑ग्निहो॒त्रं च॑ श्र॒द्धा च॑ वषट्का॒रो व्र॒तं तपः॑ । दक्षि॑णे॒ष्टं पू॒र्तं चोच्छि॒ष्टेऽधि॑ स॒माहि॑ताः ॥ (९)

अग्नि होम, श्रद्धा, वषट शब्द, व्रत, तप, दक्षिणा, वेदों में बताए गए याग, होमादि कर्म तथा स्मृतियों और पुराणों में बताए गए बावड़ी, कुआं आदि बनवाने के कर्म उच्छिष्ट अर्थात् यज्ञ शेष रूपी ब्रह्म में स्थित हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
Agni Hom, Shraddha, Vasta Shabd, Vrat, Tapa, Dakshina, Yag, Homadi Karma and Smritis mentioned in the Vedas and the deeds of making stepwells, wells etc. mentioned in the Puranas are located in the remaining form of Brahma. (9)
ए॑करा॒त्रो द्वि॑रा॒त्रः स॑द्यः॒क्रीः प्र॒क्रीरु॒क्थ्यः । ओतं॒ निहि॑त॒मुच्छि॑ष्टे य॒ज्ञस्या॒णूनि॑ वि॒द्यया॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
एक रात्रि वाला सोमयाग, दो रात्रियों तक चलने वाला सोमयाग, एक दिन में होने वाले क्री और प्रक्री नाम के सोमयाग, उक्थों वाला सोमयाग, यज्ञ से संबंधित सूक्ष्म रूप, भावना के साथ यज्ञ शेष अर्थात् यज्ञ के पश्चात बचे हुए भातरूपी ब्रह्म में स्थित है. (१०)
EN English Translation
One night Somyag, two nights long Somayag, One Day Kree and Prakri name Somyag, Ukthon Somyag, subtle form related to Yajna, Yajna with emotion is located in shesh i.e. bhatrupi Brahma left after yajna. (10)
चतूरा॒त्रः प॑ञ्चरा॒त्रः ष॑ड्रा॒त्रश्चो॒भयः॑ स॒ह । षो॑ड॒शी स॑प्तरा॒त्रश्चोच्छि॑ष्टाज्जज्ञिरे॒ सर्वे॒ ये य॒ज्ञा अ॒मृते॑ हि॒ताः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
चार रात्रियों वाला, पांच रात्रियों वाला, छह रात्रियों वाला तथा इन से दूनी रात्रियों वाले सोमयाग, सोलह रात्रियों वाले, सात रात्रियों वाले सोमयाग तथा अमृत का फल देने वाले जो यज्ञ हैं, वे सब उच्छिष्ट अर्थात् यज्ञशेष रूपी ब्रह्म से उत्पन्न हुए हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
The yagyas with four nights, five nights, six nights and two nights, sixteen nights, somayag with seven nights and the fruits of nectar, all of them have originated from Brahm in the form of Uchishta i.e. Yajnashesh. (11)
प्र॑तीहा॒रो नि॒धनं॑ विश्व॒जिच्चा॑भि॒जिच्च॒ यः । सा॑ह्नातिरा॒त्रावुच्छि॑ष्टे द्वादशा॒होऽपि॒ तन्मयि॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उद्गीथ के बाद गाए जाने वाले सामवेद के मंत्र, प्रतीहार तथा सोमयागों की समाप्ति के मंत्र, विश्वजित और अभिजित नाम के यज्ञ, एक दिन में होने वाला सोमयाग साहन, अतिरात्र नाम के जो सोमयाग यज्ञ शेष रूपी ब्रह्म में स्थित हैं, वे सब मुझ में हों अर्थात् मेरे द्वारा किए जाएं. (१२)
EN English Translation
The mantras of Samaveda sung after Udgeeth, the mantras of the end of pratihar and somyagas, the yajna named Vishwajit and Abhijit, the Somayag Sahan held in a day, the Somayag yajna named Atiratra, which is located in the remaining Brahma, should all be done in me, that is, should be done by me. (12)
सू॒नृता॒ संन॑तिः॒ क्षेमः॑ स्व॒धोर्जामृतं॒ सहः॑ । उच्छि॑ष्टे॒ सर्वे॑ प्र॒त्यञ्चः॒ कामाः॒ कामे॑न तातृपुः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सूनृता, विनम्र भाव, क्षेम, स्वधा, अमृत, बल तथा सामने उपस्थित सभी कामनाएं यज्ञशेष रूपी ब्रह्म में स्थित हैं. ये सभी कामना करने वाले यजमान को तृप्त करते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
Sweetness, humble emotion, kshem, swadha, nectar, strength and all the wishes present in front of them are located in the Brahman of Yajnashesh. All these satisfy the wishing host. (13)
नव॒ भूमीः॑ समु॒द्रा उच्छि॑ष्टेऽधि॑ श्रि॒ता दिवः॑ । आ॒ सूर्यो॑ भा॒त्युच्छि॑ष्टेऽहोरा॒त्रे अपि॒ तन्मयि॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
नौ खंडों वाली पृथ्वी, सात सागर तथा स्वर्ग यज्ञशेष रूपी ब्रह्म में स्थित है. सूर्य और रात दिन भी उच्छिष्ट अर्थात् यज्ञ शेष रूपी ब्रह्म में स्थित हैं. ये सभी मेरे द्वारा हों. (१४)
EN English Translation
The nine-volume earth, seven oceans and heaven are located in Brahma in the form of Yajnashesh. The sun and night and day are also located in the Brahman of Uchishta i.e. yajna remaining. All of them should be by me. (14)
उ॑प॒हव्यं॑ विषू॒वन्तं॒ ये च॑ य॒ज्ञा गुहा॑ हि॒ताः । बिभ॑र्ति भ॒र्ता विश्व॒स्योच्छि॑ष्टो जनि॒तुः पि॒ता ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उपहव्य, विषूवान नाम के सोमयाग तथा जो सोमयाग ज्ञात नहीं है, विश्व का भरणपोषण करने वाला तथा सवनयज्ञ का अनुष्ठान करने वाले का पालनकर्ता यज्ञशेष रूपी ब्रह्म है. (१५)

The upahavya, the somayag named Vishuvan and the somayag who is not known, the sustainer of the world and the follower of the ritual of sawanyagya is Brahma in the form of Yajnashesh. (15)
पि॒ता ज॑नि॒तुरुच्छि॒ष्टोऽसोः॒ पौत्रः॑ पिताम॒हः । स क्षि॑यति॒ विश्व॒स्येशा॑नो॒ वृषा॒ भूम्या॑मति॒घ्न्यः ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञशेष रूपी ब्रह्म अपने को उत्पन्न करने वाले का पिता है. यह भात प्राण वायु का पौत्र और पितामह है. विश्व का स्वामी और कामनाएं पूर्ण करने वाला वह सब को अतिक्रमण कर के भूमि पर निवास करता है. (१६)
EN English Translation
Brahman, the form of Yajnashesh, is the father of the one who creates himself. This rice is the grandson and father of prana vayu. The swami of the world and the one who fulfills the desires, he encroaches everyone and lives on the land. (16)
ऋ॒तं स॒त्यं तपो॑ रा॒ष्ट्रं श्रमो॒ धर्म॑श्च॒ कर्म॑ च । भू॒तं भ॑वि॒ष्यदुच्छि॑ष्टे वी॒र्यं ल॒क्ष्मीर्बलं॒ बले॑ ॥ (१७)

ऋत, सत्य, तप, राष्ट्र, श्रम, धर्म, कर्म, भूतकाल, भविष्यकाल, वीर्य, लक्ष्मी और बल यज्ञशेष रूपी बल में आश्रित है. (१७)

Rita, Satya, Tapa, Rashtra, Labour, Dharma, Karma, Past, Bhavishyakal, Semen, Lakshmi and Bal are dependent in the force of Yajnashesh. (17)
समृ॑द्धि॒रोज॒ आकू॑तिः क्ष॒त्रं रा॒ष्ट्रं षडु॒र्व्यः । सं॑वत्स॒रोऽध्युच्छि॑ष्ट॒ इडा॑ प्रै॒षा ग्रहा॑ ह॒विः ॥ (१८)

समृद्धि, ओज, आकूति अर्थात् मन चाहे फल संबंधी संकल्प, क्षत्रिय का तेज, राष्ट्र, छह पृथिवियां, संवत्सर, इडा नाम की देवी, यज्ञ कर्मो में ऋत्विजों के प्रेरक मंत्र, गृह और हवि ये सभी यज्ञ शेषरूपी ब्रह्म में स्थित हैं. (१८)

Prosperity, Oz, Akuti i.e. the resolution of the fruit of the mind, the glory of the Kshatriya, the nation, the six earths, samvatsar, the goddess named Ida, the inspiring mantras of the Ritvijas in yagya karmas, the house and the havi are all located in the Yagya Sheshrupi Brahma. (18)
चतु॑र्होतार आ॒प्रिय॑श्चातुर्मा॒स्यानि॑ नी॒विदः॑ । उच्छि॑ष्टे य॒ज्ञा होत्राः॑ पशुब॒न्धास्तदिष्ट॑यः ॥ (१९)

चतुर्होत्र नाम के मंत्र, पशुयाग संबंधी मंत्र, चार मासों में किए जाने वाले चार पर्व, स्तुति संबंधी देव के उत्कर्ष को बताने वाले मंत्र, नीविद, यज्ञ, होता, इष्टियां-ये सब यज्ञशेष रूपी ब्रह्म में स्थित हैं. (१९)

The mantras named Chaturhotra, the mantras related to pashuyag, the four festivals performed in four months, the mantras that tell the rise of the deity related to praise, nivid, yajna, hota, ishtis - all these are located in the Brahman of Yajnaasheshesh. (19)
अ॑र्धमा॒साश्च॒ मासा॑श्चार्त॒वा ऋ॒तुभिः॑ स॒ह । उच्छि॑ष्टे घो॒षिणी॒रापः॑ स्तनयि॒त्नुः श्रुति॑र्म॒ही ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आधा महीना अर्थात् पक्ष, महीने, ऋतुओं के साथ उन में उत्पन्न होने वाले पदार्थ, शब्द करने वाले जल, गर्जन करते हुए मेघ और पवित्र भूमि-ये सभी यज्ञशेष रूपी ब्रह्म में स्थित हैं. (२०)

Half a month i.e. paksha, month, seasons along with the substances produced in them, the water that makes the words, the roaring clouds and the holy land - all these are located in the Brahman of Yajnashesh. (20)
शर्क॑राः॒ सिक॑ता॒ अश्मा॑न॒ ओष॑धयो वी॒रुध॒स्तृणा॑ । अ॒भ्राणि॑ वि॒द्युतो॑ व॒र्षमुच्छि॑ष्टे॒ संश्रि॑ता श्रि॒ता ॥ (२१)

पत्थरों के छोटे टुकड़े, बालू, पत्थर, जड़ीबूटी और फसलें, लताएं, तिनके, मेघ, बिजलियां और वर्षा ये सब यज्ञशेष रूपी ब्रह्म में स्थित हैं. (२१)

Small pieces of stones, sand, stones, herbs and crops, vines, straws, clouds, bijlis and rain are all located in the Brahman of Yajnashesh. (21)
राद्धिः॒ प्राप्तिः॒ समा॑प्ति॒र्व्याप्ति॒र्मह॑ एध॒तुः । अत्या॑प्ति॒रुच्छि॑ष्टे॒ भूति॒श्चाहि॑ता॒ निहि॑ता हि॒ता ॥ (२२)

सिद्धि, प्राप्ति, समाप्ति, व्याप्ति, तेज, वृद्धि, अत्यधिक प्राप्ति, समृद्धि तथा सामने स्थित हितकारी पदार्थ यज्ञशेष रूपी ब्रह्म में स्थित है. (२२)

Siddhi, attainment, ending, coverage, speed, growth, excessive attainment, prosperity and the beneficial substance located in front of you is located in the Brahman of Yajnaashesh. (22)
यच्च॑ प्रा॒णति॑ प्रा॒णेन॒ यच्च॒ पश्य॑ति॒ चक्षु॑षा । उच्छि॑ष्टाज्जज्ञिरे॒ सर्वे॑ दि॒वि दे॒वा दि॑वि॒श्रितः॑ ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो प्राण वायु के द्वारा जीवित रहता है, जो आंखों से देखता है, स्वर्ग में स्थित देव और स्वर्ग—ये सभी यज्ञ शेष रूपी ब्रह्म से उत्पन्न है. (२३)

The soul that lives through the air, who sees with his eyes, the god in heaven and heaven — all these sacrifices are born of brahman in the form of rest. (23)
ऋचः॒ सामा॑नि॒ च्छन्दां॑सि पुरा॒णं यजु॑षा स॒ह । उच्छि॑ष्टाज्जज्ञिरे॒ सर्वे॑ दि॒वि दे॒वा दि॑वि॒श्रितः॑ ॥ (२४)

ऋग्वेद और सामवेद के मंत्र, छंद, यजुर्वेद के सहित प्राचीन मंत्र, स्वर्ग और स्वर्ग में स्थित देव—ये सभी यज्ञ रूपी ब्रह्म से उत्पन्न हुए हैं. (२४)

The ancient mantras, including the mantras, verses, yajurveda of rigveda and samaveda, gods located in heaven and heaven - all of them originated from Brahma in the form of yajna. (24)
प्रा॑णापा॒नौ चक्षुः॒ श्रोत्र॒मक्षि॑तिश्च॒ क्षिति॑श्च॒ या । उच्छि॑ष्टाज्जज्ञिरे॒ सर्वे॑ दि॒वि दे॒वा दि॑वि॒श्रितः॑ ॥ (२५)

प्राण और अपान वायु, नेत्र, कान, विनाश का अभाव और विनाश, स्वर्ग और स्वर्ग में स्थित देव-ये सभी यज्ञशेष रूपी ब्रह्म से उत्पन्न हुए हैं. (२५)

विषयों के उपभोग से उत्पन्न आनंद नाम के विशेष सुख, हर्ष, अधिक प्रसन्नता एवं इन्हें देने वाले पदार्थ, स्वर्ग और स्वर्ग में स्थित देव-ये सभी यज्ञशेष रूपी ब्रह्म से उत्पन्न हुए. (२६)

The special pleasures, joys, greater happiness and substances that give them, the gods in heaven and heaven , all of which originated from Brahman in the form of sacrifices. (26)
दे॒वाः पि॒तरो॑ मनु॒ष्या गन्धर्वाप्स॒रस॑श्च॒ ये । उच्छि॑ष्टाज्जज्ञिरे॒ सर्वे॑ दि॒वि दे॒वा दि॑वि॒श्रितः॑ ॥ (२७)

देव, पितर, मनुष्य, गंधर्व, अप्सराएं, स्वर्ग और स्वर्ग में स्थित देव-ये सभी यज्ञ शेष रूपी ब्रह्म से उत्पन्न हुए. (२७)

Dev, Pitar, Man, Gandharva, Apsaras, Gods located in heaven and heaven - all these sacrifices originated from Brahman in the form of the rest. (27)
