स यत्प्राचीं॒दिश॒मनु॒ व्यच॑ल॒न्मारु॑तं॒ शर्धो॑ भू॒त्वानु॒व्यचल॒न्मनो॑ऽन्ना॒दं कृ॒त्वा ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जब वह पूर्व दिशा की ओर चला, तब उस ने बलशाली हो कर अपनी आयु के अनुकूल आचरण करते हुए अपने मन को अन्नाद अर्थात् अन्न खाने वाला बनाया. (१)
EN English Translation
When he walked towards the east direction, he became strong and behaved according to his age and made his mind annad i.e. food eater. (1)

जो मनुष्य इस बात को जानता है, वह अन्नाद मन से अन्न को खाता है. (२)
EN English Translation
The person who knows this, he eats food with an annad mind. (2)
स यद्दक्षि॑णां॒दिश॒मनु॒ व्यच॑लद्भू॒त्वानु॒व्यचल॒द्बल॑मन्ना॒दं कृ॒त्वा ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जब वह दक्षिण दिशा की ओर गया, तब वह अपने बल को अन्नाद बताता हुआ इंद्र बन कर गमनशील हुआ. (३)
EN English Translation
When he went towards the south direction, he became Indra, describing his force as Annad. (3)

इस बात को जानने वाला अन्नाद बल से अन्न का सेवन करता है. (४)

स यत्प्र॒तीचीं॒दिश॒मनु॒ व्यच॑ल॒द्वरु॑णो॒ राजा॑ भू॒त्वानु॒व्यचलद॒पोऽन्ना॒दीः कृ॒त्वा ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जब वह पश्चिम दिशा की ओर चला, तब वह जल को अन्नाद बताता हुआ वरुण बन कर गतिशील हुआ. (५)
EN English Translation
When he walked towards the west direction, he moved as Varuna, describing the water as Annad. (5)

इस बात को जानने वाला अन्नाद जल से अन्न का भक्षण करता है. (६)

स यदुदी॑चीं॒दिश॒मनु॒ व्यच॑ल॒त् सोमो॒ राजा॑ भू॒त्वानु॒व्यचलत्सप्त॒र्षिभि॑र्हु॒तआहु॑तिमन्ना॒दीं कृ॒त्वा ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जब वह उत्तर दिशा की ओर चला, तब वह समप्तर्षियों द्वारा दी गई आहुति को अन्नाद बना कर तथा सोम हो कर चला. (७)
EN English Translation
When he walked towards the north, he went on to make the sacrifice given by the sampratashis as a food and walked in the som. (7)

इस बात को जानने वाला अन्नाद आहुति से अन्न का भक्षण करता है. (८)

स यद्ध्रु॒वांदिश॒मनु॒ व्यच॑ल॒द्विष्णु॑र्भू॒त्वानु॒व्यचलद्वि॒राज॑मन्ना॒दीं कृ॒त्वा ॥ (९)

जब वह ध्रुव दिशा की ओर चला, तब विराट को अन्नाद बता कर स्वयं विष्णु रूप में चला. (९)

When he walked towards the pole direction, he went in the form of Vishnu himself, calling Virat Annad. (9)

स यत्प॒शूननु॒व्यच॑लद्रु॒द्रो भू॒त्वानु॒व्यचल॒दोष॑धीरन्ना॒दीः कृ॒त्वा ॥ (११)

जब वह पशुओं की ओर चला तब ओषधियों को अन्नाद बनाते हुए उस ने रुद्र के रूप में गमन किया. (११)

जब वह पितरों की ओर चला, तब उस ने स्वधा को अन्नाद बनाया और वह हो स्वयं यमराजा बन कर चला. (१३)

When he walked towards the ancestors, he made Swadha an anad and he himself went on as Yamraja. (13)

जब वह मनुष्यों की ओर चला, तब स्वाहा को अन्नाद बना कर अग्नि होता हुआ चला. (१५)

जब वह ऊर्ध्व दिशा की ओर चला, तब वषट्कार को अन्नाद बना कर बृहस्पति बनता हुआ चला. (१७)

When he walked towards the upward direction, he made the successor annad and went on to become Jupiter. (17)

जब वह देवता की ओर चला, तब यज्ञ को अन्नाद बना कर ईशान बनता हुआ चला. (१९)
