तस्या॑ आ॒हन॑नं कृ॒त्या मे॒निरा॒शस॑नं वल॒ग ऊब॑ध्यम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ब्राह्मण की गाय को मारना मरणासन्न बन जाता है. इस को हनन करना कृत्या राक्षसी है. इस का गोबर युक्त आधा पका हुआ चारा शपथ के समान है. (१)
EN English Translation
Killing a Brahmin's cow becomes dying. It is monstrous to violate it. Its half-cooked fodder containing cow dung is like an oath. (1)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ब्राह्मण की अपहरण की गई गाय अपने वश में नहीं रहती है. (२)
EN English Translation
The abducted cow of a Brahmin does not remain in its control. (2)
अ॒ग्निः क्र॒व्याद्भू॒त्वा ब्र॑ह्मग॒वी ब्र॑ह्म॒ज्यं प्र॒विश्या॑त्ति ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मारी हुई ब्राह्मण की गाय मांसाहारी पशु बन कर मारने वाले को खाती है. (३)
EN English Translation
The killed Brahmin's cow becomes a non-vegetarian animal and eats the killer. (3)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यदि ब्राह्मण की गाय को कोई मारता है तो यह मारने वाले के शरीर के सभी जोड़ों को छिन्नभिन्न कर देती है. (४)
EN English Translation
If someone kills a Brahmin's cow, it shatters all the joints of the killer's body. (4)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह ब्राह्मण की गाय चुराने वाले के पिता के बांधवों का छेदन करती है और माता के बांधवों को अपमानित करती है. (५)
EN English Translation
It pierces the brothers of the father of the brahmin's cow stealer and humiliates the brothers of the mother. (5)
वि॑वा॒हां ज्ञा॒तीन्त्सर्वा॒नपि॑ क्षापयति ब्रह्मग॒वी ब्र॑ह्म॒ज्यस्य॑ क्ष॒त्रिये॒णापु॑नर्दीयमाना ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
्षत्रिय द्वारा ब्राह्मण की गाय न लौटाई जाने पर उस के सभी बंधुओं को नष्ट कर देती है. (६)
EN English Translation
If the Brahmin's cow is not returned by the Kshatriya, it destroys all his brothers. (6)
अ॑वा॒स्तुमे॑न॒मस्व॑ग॒मप्र॑जसं करोत्यपरापर॒णो भ॑वति क्षी॒यते॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ब्राह्मण की गाय को आगर क्षत्रिय न लौटाए तो वह क्षत्रिय को गृहहीन तथा संतानहीन कर देती है. ब्राह्मण की गाय चुराने वाला क्षत्रिय अपरा रोग से ग्रसित हो कर नष्ट हो जाता है. (७)
EN English Translation
If the Agar Kshatriya does not return the Brahmin's cow, then it makes the Kshatriya homeless and childless. The Kshatriya who steals the Brahmin's cow is destroyed by suffering from apara disease. (7)
य ए॒वं वि॒दुषो॑ ब्राह्म॒णस्य॑ क्ष॒त्रियो॒ गामा॑द॒त्ते ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऊपर बताई गई दशा उस क्षत्रिय की होती है, जो विद्वान् की गौ का अपहरण करता है. (८)
EN English Translation
The condition mentioned above is that of the Kshatriya, who kidnaps the scholar's cow. (8)
