व॒यमु॒ त्वाम॑पूर्व्य स्थू॒रं न कच्चि॒द्भर॑न्तोऽव॒स्यवः॑ । वाजे॑ चि॒त्रं ह॑वामहे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सदा नवीन रहने वाले इंद्र! अन्न प्राप्ति के अवसर पर हम तुम्हारी रक्षा की कामना करते हैं और तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. तुम हमें विजय प्राप्त कराने के लिए हमारे समीप आओ, हमारे विरोधियों की ओर मत जाओ. जिस प्रकार विजय की कामना से राजा योद्धाओं को बुलाता है, उसी प्रकार हम तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O ever-new Indra! On the occasion of getting food, we wish to protect you and call you. You come close to us to conquer us, don't go towards our opponents. Just as the king calls the warriors with the desire of victory, so we call you. (1)
उप॑ त्वा॒ कर्म॑न्नू॒तये॒ स नो॒ युवो॒ग्रश्च॑क्राम॒ यो धृ॑षत् । त्वामिद्ध्य॑वि॒तारं॑ ववृ॒महे॒ सखा॑य इन्द्र सान॒सिम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! कार्य के अवसर पर हम तुम्हारा ही आश्रय लेते हैं. तुम शत्रुओं को वश में करने वाले, नित्य एवं अत्यधिक शक्तिशाली हो. तुम हमें सहायक के रूप में प्राप्त होओ. हम अपनी रक्षा के लिए सखा के रूप में तुम्हारा वरण करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! On the occasion of work, we take refuge in you. You are the one who controls the enemies, constant and very powerful. You get us as assistants. We worship you as a friend to protect ourselves. (2)
यो न॑ इ॒दमि॑दं पु॒रा प्र वस्य॑ आनि॒नाय॒ तमु॑ व स्तुषे । सखा॑य॒ इन्द्र॑मू॒तये॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! तुम्हारी रक्षा के निमित्त हम इंद्र का आह्वान करते हैं. हमें पहले गौ आदि के रूप में धन प्रदान करने वाले इंद्र मनचाहा फल देने में समर्थ हैं. हम उन्हीं इंद्र की स्तुति करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O hosts! We invoke Indra to protect you. Indra, who first gave us money in the form of cow etc., is able to give the desired results. We praise the same Indra. (3)
हर्य॑श्वं॒ सत्प॑तिं चर्षणी॒सहं॒ स हि ष्मा॒ यो अम॑न्दत । आ तु नः॒ स व॑यति॒ गव्य॒मश्व्यं॑ स्तो॒तृभ्यो॑ म॒घवा॑ श॒तम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं उन्हीं इंद्र की स्तुति करता हूं जो सभी मनुष्यों के रक्षक, हरे रंग के अथवा हरित नाम वाले घोड़ों के स्वामी और सब का नियंत्रण करने वाले हैं. मैं स्तुतियों से प्रसन्न होने वाले इंद्र की स्तुति करता हूं. वे ही इंद्र हम स्तोओं को गाएं तथा घोड़े प्रदान करें. (४)
EN English Translation
I praise the same Indra who is the protector of all human beings, the swami of horses with green or green names and the controller of all. I praise Indra, who is pleased with praises. He is Indra to sing us stos and give horses. (4)
इन्द्रा॑य॒ साम॑ गायत॒ विप्रा॑य बृह॒ते बृ॒हत् । ध॑र्म॒कृते॑ विप॒श्चिते॑ पन॒स्यवे॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे विद्वान् एवं धर्मात्मा स्तुति कर्ताओ! तुम महान इंद्र की स्तुति सोम गान के द्वारा करो. (५)
EN English Translation
O scholars and righteous ones! You praise the great Indra by singing soma. (5)
त्वमि॑न्द्राभि॒भूर॑सि॒ त्वं सूर्य॑मरोचयः । वि॒श्वक॑र्मा वि॒श्वदे॑वो म॒हाँ अ॑सि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सूर्य को तुम ने ही आकाश में प्रकाशित किया है. तुम शत्रुओं का तिरस्कार करने वाले, विश्वै देव और महान विश्वकर्मा हो. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have illuminated the sun in the sky. You are the one who despises enemies, the Vishwai Dev and the great Vishwakarma. (6)
वि॒भ्राजं॒ ज्योति॑षा॒ स्वरग॑च्छो रोच॒नं दि॒वः । दे॒वास्त॑ इन्द्र स॒ख्याय॑ येमिरे ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सभी देवता तुम्हारे मित्र हैं. जो सूर्य स्वर्ग में प्रकाश करते हैं, वे तुम्हारे द्वारा ही ज्योतिमान है. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! All gods are your friends. The sun that lights in heaven is the light through you. (7)
तम्व॒भि प्र गा॑यत पुरुहू॒तं पु॑रुष्टु॒तम् । इन्द्रं॑ गीर्भिस्तवि॒षमा वि॑वासत ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! इंद्र को अनेक स्तोता बुला चुके हैं तथा बहुत से स्तोताओं ने इंद्र की स्तुति की है. उन्हीं पराक्रमी इंद्र को तुम भी अपनी स्तुतियों के द्वारा सुशोभित करो. (८)
EN English Translation
O stotao! Indra has been called many hymns and many stotas have praised Indra. You should also adorn the same mighty Indra with your praises. (8)
यस्य॑ द्वि॒बर्ह॑सो बृ॒हत्सहो॑ दा॒धार॒ रोद॑सी । गि॒रीँरज्राँ॑ अ॒पः स्वर्वृषत्व॒ना ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो इंद्र अपनी महिमा से आकाश, पृथ्वी, जल, पर्वतों, वज्र, बल तथा स्वर्ग को धारण करते हैं, तुम उन्हीं इंद्र का पूजन करो. (९)
EN English Translation
You should worship Indra, the one who possesses the sky, earth, water, mountains, thunderbolt, force and heaven with his glory. (9)
स रा॑जसि पुरुष्टुतँ॒ एको॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ जिघ्नसे । इन्द्र॒ जैत्रा॑ श्रवस्या च॒ यन्त॑वे ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम विजय प्राप्त करने वाले यश के लिए तेजस्वी हुए हो. तुम अकेले ही अपने शत्रुओं को नष्ट कर देते हो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have been brilliant for the glory that you have won. You alone destroy your enemies. (10)
