इ॒हैव ध्रु॒वां नि मि॑नोमि॒ शालां॒ क्षेमे॑ तिष्ठाति घृ॒तमु॒क्षमा॑णा । तां त्वा॑ शाले॒ सर्व॑वीराः सु॒वीरा॒ अरि॑ष्टवीरा॒ उप॒ सं च॑रेम ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं इसी प्रदेश में खंभों आदि के कारण स्थिर रहने वाली शाला बनाता हूं. वह शाला मुझे अभिमत फल देती हुई कुशलतापूर्वक स्थिर रहे. हे शाला! मैं अनेक पुत्रपौत्रों, शोभन गुणों वाली संतान एवं रोग आदि बाधाओं से हीन परिवार वाला हो कर तुझ में निवास करूं. (१)
EN English Translation
I build a stable school in this state due to pillars etc. That school remained stable efficiently, giving me the desired results. O school! I should live in you as a family without many sons and grandsons, children with beautiful qualities and diseases etc. (1)
इ॒हैव ध्रु॒वा प्रति॑ तिष्ठ शा॒ले ऽश्वा॑वती॒ गोम॑ती सू॒नृता॑वती । ऊर्ज॑स्वती घृ॒तव॑ती॒ पय॑स्व॒त्युच्छ्र॑यस्व मह॒ते सौभ॑गाय ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शाला! तू बहुत से घोड़ों, गायों, प्रिय बालकों की मधुर वाणी, पर्याप्त अन्न, घृत एवं दूध से पूर्ण हो कर इसी प्रदेश में स्थिर हो और हमारे महान कल्याण के लिए प्रयत्नशील बन. (२)
EN English Translation
O school! Be full of the sweet speech of many horses, cows, dear children, enough food, ghee and milk and be stable in this region and strive for our great welfare. (2)
ध॑रु॒ण्य॑सि शाले बृ॒हछ॑न्दाः॒ पूति॑धान्या । आ त्वा॑ व॒त्सो ग॑मे॒दा कु॑मा॒र आ धे॒नवः॑ सा॒यमा॒स्पन्द॑मानाः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शाला! तू बहुत से भोगों को धारण करने वाली है. अनेक वेद मंत्रों से और पके होने के कारण सुगंधित बने विविध प्रकार के अन्नों से युक्त तुझ में बछड़े और बालक आएं तथा गाएं संध्या काल में थनों से दूध टपकाती हुई आएं. (३)
EN English Translation
O school! You are going to possess many pleasures. Due to many Veda mantras and being ripe, calves and children come to you with various types of food made fragrant and cows should come dripping milk from the udders in the evening. (3)
इ॒मां शालां॑ सवि॒ता वा॒युरिन्द्रो॒ बृह॒स्पति॒र्नि मि॑नोतु प्रजा॒नन् । उ॒क्षन्तू॒द्ना म॒रुतो॑ घृ॒तेन॒ भगो॑ नो॒ राजा॒ नि कृ॒षिं त॑नोतु ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र और बृहस्पति खंभों को स्थापित कर के इस शाला का निर्माण करें. मरुत् इस शाला को जल से सींचें तथा भग देव इस के आसपास की भूमि को कृषि के योग्य बनाएं. (४)
EN English Translation
Build this school by installing Indra and Jupiter pillars. Irrigate this school with water and god should make the land around it suitable for agriculture. (4)
मान॑स्य पत्नि शर॒णा स्यो॒ना दे॒वी दे॒वेभि॒र्निमि॑ता॒स्यग्रे॑ । तृणं॒ वसा॑ना सु॒मना॑ अस॒स्त्वमथा॒स्मभ्यं॑ स॒हवी॑रं र॒यिं दाः॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शाला! तू धान्य आदि का पोषण करने वाली, सुखकरी, रक्षिका एवं तेजस्विनी है. देवों ने सृष्टि के आरंभ में तेरा निर्माण किया था. तिनकों से ढकी हुई तू उत्तम आशाओं वाली हो कर हमें पुत्र, पौत्र आदि से युक्त धन प्रदान कर. (५)
EN English Translation
O school! You are the nurturer of grain, happiness, rakshaka and tejaswini. The gods created you at the beginning of creation. Covered with straws, you are with good hopes and give us wealth with sons, grandsons, etc. (5)
ऋ॒तेन॒ स्थूणा॒मधि॑ रोह वंशो॒ग्रो वि॒राज॒न्नप॑ वृङ्क्ष्व॒ शत्रू॑न् । मा ते॑ रिषन्नुपस॒त्तारो॑ गृ॒हाणां॑ शाले श॒तं जी॑वेम श॒रदः॒ सर्व॑वीराः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बांस! तू बाधाहीन रूप से इस शाला के खंभे के रूप में खड़ा रह तथा शक्तिशाली बन कर विराजता हुआ हमारे शत्रुओं को यहां से दूर भगा. हे शाला! तेरे आवासों में निवास करने वालों की हिंसा न हो. हम अभिलषित पुत्रों और पौत्रों से युक्त हो कर सौ वर्ष तक जीवित रहें. (६)
EN English Translation
O bamboo! You stand as the pillar of this school without hindrance and become powerful and drive our enemies away from here. O school! Do not be violent with those who live in your residences. May we live for a hundred years with desired sons and grandsons. (6)
एमां कु॑मा॒रस्तरु॑ण॒ आ व॒त्सो जग॑ता स॒ह । एमां प॑रि॒स्रुतः॑ कु॒म्भ आ द॒ध्नः क॒लशै॑रगुः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
युवक पुत्र और गायों के सहित बछड़े इस शाला में आएं. टपकने वाले शहद तथा दही के कलश भी इस शाला में आएं. (७)
EN English Translation
Young sons and calves with cows should come to this school. Dripping honey and curd urns should also come to this school. (7)
पू॒र्णं ना॑रि॒ प्र भ॑र कु॒म्भमे॒तं घृ॒तस्य॒ धारा॑म॒मृते॑न॒ संभृ॑ताम् । इ॒मां पा॒तॄन॒मृते॑ना सम॑ङ्ग्धीष्टापू॒र्तम॒भि र॑क्षात्येनाम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्त्री! तू अमृत के समान जल से युक्त शहद, घी आदि की धारा बहाती हुई जल से भरे घड़े को ले कर इस शाला में आ तथा इस घट को अमृत के समान जल से पूर्ण कर. इस शाला में किए जाने वाले श्रौत और स्मार्त कर्म चोरों, अग्नि आदि से हमारी रक्षा करें. (८)
EN English Translation
O woman! You take a pitcher filled with water flowing a stream of honey, ghee etc. with water like nectar and come to this school and complete this ghat with water like nectar. Protect us from thieves, agni etc. (8)
इ॒मा आपः॒ प्र भ॑राम्यय॒क्ष्मा य॑क्ष्म॒नाश॑नीः । गृ॒हानुप॒ प्र सी॑दाम्य॒मृते॑न स॒हाग्निना॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं यक्ष्मा रोग से रहित और अपने सेवकों के यक्ष्मा रोग का विनाश करने वाले जलों से पूर्ण कलश को शाला में लाता हूं. इस के साथ ही मैं कभी न बुझने वाली अग्नि को भी लाता हुं. (९)
EN English Translation
I bring the kalash full of waters that are free from tuberculosis and destroy the tuberculosis of my servants to the school. Along with this, I also bring the never-extinguishing agni. (9)
