इन्द्र॑म॒हं व॒णिजं॑ चोदयामि॒ स न॒ ऐतु॑ पुरए॒ता नो॑ अस्तु । नु॒दन्नरा॑तिं परिप॒न्थिनं॑ मृ॒गं स ईशा॑नो धन॒दा अ॑स्तु॒ मह्य॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञ करने वाला मैं इंद्र को वाणिज्य करने वाला समझ कर स्तुति करता हूं. वे इंद्र यहां आएं और मेरे सम्मुख हों. इंद्र मेरे वाणिज्य में बाधा पहुंचाने वाले शत्रुओं तथा मार्ग रोकने वाले चोरों और बाघों की हिंसा करते हुए अग्रसर हों तथा मुझ व्यापारी को धन देने वाले बनें. (१)
EN English Translation
I praise Indra, who performs yajna, as a commerce doer. That Indra should come here and face me. Indra should go ahead with the violence of enemies who obstruct my commerce and thieves and tigers who block the way and become a money giver to me businessman. (1)
ये पन्था॑नो ब॒हवो॑ देव॒याना॑ अन्त॒रा द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी सं॒चर॑न्ति । ते मा॑ जुषन्तां॒ पय॑सा घृ॒तेन॒ यथा॑ क्री॒त्वा धन॑मा॒हरा॑णि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
व्यापार के जो बहुत से मार्ग हैं और धरती तथा आकाश के मध्य में लोग जिन मार्गो पर गमन करते हैं, वे मार्ग घी, दूध से हमारी सेवा करें, जिस से हम व्यापार कर के लाभ सहित मूल धन ले कर अपने घर आ सकें. (२)
EN English Translation
The many ways of trade and the paths that people travel between the earth and the sky, serve us with ghee, milk, so that we can come home with the basic money including the benefit of doing business. (2)
इ॒ध्मेना॑ग्न इ॒च्छमा॑नो घृ॒तेन॑ जु॒होमि॑ ह॒व्यं तर॑से॒ बला॑य । याव॒दीशे॒ ब्रह्म॑णा॒ वन्द॑मान इ॒मां धियं॑ शत॒सेया॑य दे॒वीम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! व्यापार से लाभ की कामना करता हुआ मैं शीघ्र गमन की शक्ति पाने के निमित्त घी के साथ हव्य की आहुति देता हूं. मैं मंत्रों से तुम्हारी स्तुति करता हुआ अपनी व्यवहार कुशल बुद्धि को असंख्य धनों वाला होने के लिए होम में लगाता हूं. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! Wishing for profit from business, I sacrifice havya with ghee to get the power of quick movement. I praise you with mantras and put my behavior efficient intellect in the burnt to be with innumerable wealth. (3)
इ॒माम॑ग्ने श॒रणिं॑ मीमृषो नो॒ यमध्वा॑न॒मगा॑म दू॒रम् । शु॒नं नो॑ अस्तु प्रप॒णो वि॒क्रय॑श्च प्रतिप॒णः फ॒लिनं॑ मा कृणोतु । इ॒दं ह॒व्यं सं॑विदा॒नौ जु॑षेथां शु॒नं नो॑ अस्तु चरि॒तमुत्थि॑तं च ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हम से दूर तक चलने से जो हिंसा हुई है और हमारे व्रत का लोप हुआ है, उसे क्षमा करो. व्यापार की वस्तुओं का क्रय और विक्रय दोनों ही मुझे लाभकारी हों. हे इंद्र और अग्नि! तुम एकमत हो कर इस हव्य को स्वीकार करो. तुम दोनों की कृपा से मेरा क्रयविक्रय और उस से लाभ के रूप में प्राप्त धन मेरे लिए सुखकारी हो. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! Forgive the violence that has happened by walking away from us and our fast has disappeared. Both buying and selling of business items should be beneficial to me. O Indra and Agni! You agree and accept this desire. By the grace of both of you, my purchase and the money received from it in the form of profit is pleasant for me. (4)
येन॒ धने॑न प्रप॒णं चरा॑मि॒ धने॑न देवा॒ धन॑मि॒च्छमा॑नः । तन्मे॒ भूयो॑ भवतु॒ मा कनी॒योऽग्ने॑ सात॒घ्नो दे॒वान्ह॒विषा॒ नि षे॑ध ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवो! जिस मूल धन से लाभ रूपी धन की इच्छा करता हुआ मैं व्यापार करता हूं, वह मेरे लिए सुखकारी हो. हे अग्नि! इस हवन किए जाते हुए हव्य से लाभ में बाधा डालने वाले देवों को संतुष्ट कर के रोको. हे देवो, तुम्हारे प्रभाव से मेरा धन बढ़े, कम न हो. (५)
EN English Translation
O God! The basic money from which I do business while wishing for profit money, it should be happy for me. O agni! While performing this havan, stop the gods who obstruct the benefit from the divine by satisfying them. O Gods, my wealth should increase, not decrease, due to your influence. (5)
येन॒ धने॑न प्रप॒णं चरा॑मि॒ धने॑न देवा॒ धन॑मि॒च्छमा॑नः । तस्मि॑न्म॒ इन्द्रो॒ रुचि॒मा द॑धातु प्र॒जाप॑तिः सवि॒ता सोमो॑ अ॒ग्निः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस मूल धन से मैं लाभ रूपी धन की इच्छा करता हुआ व्यापार करता हूं, इंद्र, सविता, सोम, प्रजापति और अग्नि देव मेरा मन उस धन की आर प्रेरित करें. (६)
EN English Translation
May Indra, Savita, Soma, Prajapati and Agni Dev inspire my mind towards the wealth from which I do business in the form of profit. (6)
उप॑ त्वा॒ नम॑सा व॒यं होत॑र्वैश्वानर स्तु॒मः । स नः॑ प्र॒जास्वा॒त्मसु॒ गोषु॑ प्रा॒णेषु॑ जागृहि ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवों का आह्वान करने वाले अग्नि देव! हम हव्य ले कर तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हैं. तुम हमारे पुत्रों, पौत्रों, गायों और प्राणों की रक्षा के लिए सावधान रहो. (७)
EN English Translation
O Agni God who invokes the gods! We praise you with lust. Be careful to protect our sons, grandsons, cows and souls. (7)
वि॒श्वाहा॑ ते॒ सद॒मिद्भ॑रे॒माश्वा॑येव॒ तिष्ठ॑ते जातवेदः । रा॒यस्पोषे॑ण॒ समि॒षा मद॑न्तो॒ मा ते॑ अग्ने॒ प्रति॑वेशा रिषाम ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जातवेद अग्नि! हमारे घर में नित्य निवास करने वाले तुम्हें हम प्रतिदिन उसी प्रकार हवि देते हैं, जिस प्रकार हम अपने घर में रहने वाले घोड़े को समयसमय पर घास आदि खिलाते हैं. हे अग्नि! तुम्हारे सेवक हम धन और अन्न की समृद्धि से प्रसन्न होते हुए कभी नष्ट न हों. (८)
EN English Translation
O jataved agni! We give you the same kind of food to the horse living in our house every day, just as we feed grass etc. from time to time to the horse living in our house. O agni! May we, your servants, never perish, pleased with the prosperity of wealth and food. (8)
