उत्तर दिशा हम पर अनुग्रह करे. सोम इस दिशा के अधिपति अर्थात् स्वामी हैं. स्वयं उत्पन्न होने वाला सर्प इस का रक्षक है और वज्र इस के दुष्टों को वश में करने वाला बाण है. इस के अधिपति सोम को, स्वयं उत्पन्न होने वाले रक्षक सर्प को और वज्र रूप बाण को हमारा नमस्कार प्रसन्न करने वाला हो. जो शत्रु हमें बाधा पहुंचाते हैं अथवा हम जिन से द्वेष करते हैं. हे सोम आदि देवो! उन्हें हम तुम्हारे भक्षण के लिए तुम्हारी दाढ़ में रखते हैं. (४)

May the north direction be kind to us. Som is the swami of this direction. The self-born serpent is its protector and the thunderbolt is the arrow that subdues its wicked. Our greetings to its swami Soma, the protector snake born himself and the vajra form arrow should be pleasing. The enemies that hinder us or the ones we hate. O Soma Adi Devo! We keep them in your molars for your devouring. (4)
