यददी॑व्यन्नृ॒णम॒हं कृ॒णोम्यदा॑स्यन्नग्न उ॒त सं॑गृ॒णामि॑ । वै॑श्वान॒रो नो॑ अधि॒पा वसि॑ष्ठ॒ उदिन्न॑याति सुकृ॒तस्य॑ लो॒कम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि देव! व्यवहार करने में अशक्त हो कर मैं ने जो ऋण लिया और उसे नहीं चुका पाया; मैं उसे देने की प्रतिज्ञा करता हूं. सभी प्राणियों के हितेषी, पालन कर्ता एवं वश में करने वाले अग्नि हमें पुण्य कर्मो के फल के रूप में मिलने वाला लोक प्रदान करें. (१)
EN English Translation
O God of Agni! I could not repay the debt I took and was unable to deal with; I pledge to give it to him. May the agni, which is beneficial, sustaining and subduing all beings, give us the world that is available as the fruit of virtuous deeds. (1)
वै॑श्वान॒राय॒ प्रति॑ वेदयामि॒ यद्यृ॒णं सं॑ग॒रो दे॒वता॑सु । स ए॒तान्पाशा॑न्वि॒चृतं॑ वेद॒ सर्वा॒नथ॑ प॒क्वेन॑ स॒ह सं भ॑वेम ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मुझ पर जो लौकिक ऋण एवं देवों के प्रति की गई प्रतिज्ञा पूर्ण न करने का ऋण है, उन सब को मैं अग्नि देव को बताता हूं. अग्नि देव इन लौकिक और दैविक ऋण रूपी पाशों को ढीला करना जानते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
I tell the agni god all the worldly debts and the debt of not fulfilling the promise made to the gods. Agni Dev knows how to loosen these cosmic and divine debt traps. (2)
वै॑श्वान॒रः प॑वि॒ता मा॑ पुनातु॒ यत्सं॑ग॒रम॑भि॒धावा॑म्या॒शाम् । अना॑जान॒न्मन॑सा॒ याच॑मानो॒ यत्तत्रैनो॒ अप॒ तत्सु॑वामि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सभी भावों को पवित्र करने वाले अग्नि मुझे पवित्र करें. मैं ने ऋण चुकाने एवं यज्ञ करने का जो वचन दिया है तथा मैं देवों में जो आशा उत्पन्न करता हूं, उन के ऋण को चुकाता नहीं हूं. मैं अपने मन से लौकिक सुखों की याचना करता हूं. इस प्रकार के असत्य भाषण में जो पाप है, उसे मैं दूर करता हूं. (३)
EN English Translation
May the agni that sanctifies all emotions sanctify me. I do not repay the debts of the debts and the promises I have made to perform yagna and the hope I instill in the gods. I plead for cosmic pleasures from my mind. I remove the sin in this kind of untrue speech. (3)
