यशो॑ ह॒विर्व॑र्धता॒मिन्द्र॑जूतं स॒हस्र॑वीर्यं॒ सुभृ॑तं॒ सह॑स्कृतम् । प्र॒सर्स्रा॑ण॒मनु॑ दी॒र्घाय॒ चक्ष॑से ह॒विष्म॑न्तं मा वर्धय ज्ये॒ष्ठता॑तये ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारे द्वारा इंद्र के उद्देश्य से दी हुई अपरिमित सामर्थ्य से युक्त, भलीभांति वर्तमान एवं हजारों को पराजित करने वाले बल को देने वाली हवि की वृद्धि हो. हे इंद्र! उस हवि की वृद्धि के पश्चात मुझ हवि देने वाले यजमान को चिरकाल तक होने वाले दर्शन और श्रेष्ठता के लिए बढ़ाओ. (१)
EN English Translation
May there be an increase in the power of the immense power given by us to indra's purpose, the well-present and the force that defeats thousands. O Indra! After the growth of that havi, extend the host who gives me to the eternal vision and superiority. (1)
अच्छा॑ न॒ इन्द्रं॑ य॒शसं॒ यशो॑भिर्यश॒स्विनं॑ नमसा॒ना वि॑धेम । स नो॑ रास्व रा॒ष्ट्रमिन्द्र॑जूतं॒ तस्य॑ ते रा॒तौ य॒शसः॑ स्याम ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सामने वर्तमान, यश देने वाले एवं अधिक यशस्वी इंद्र को हम नमस्कार आदि के द्वारा पूजते हुए उन की सेवा करते हैं. हे इंद्र! तुम हमें अपने द्वारा प्रेरित राज्य प्रदान करो. तुम्हारे उस दान से हम यशस्वी बनें. (२)
EN English Translation
In front of us, we serve the present, fame-giving and more successful Indra by worshiping him through namaskar etc. O Indra! You provide us with the kingdom inspired by you. May we be successful with that donation of yours. (2)
य॒शा इन्द्रो॑ य॒शा अ॒ग्निर्य॒शाः सोमो॑ अजायत । य॒शा विश्व॑स्य भू॒त्स्या॒हम॑स्मि य॒शस्त॑मः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र, अग्नि और सोम यश की इच्छा करते हुए उत्पन्न हुए. यश का इच्छुक मैं भी समस्त प्राणियों की अपेक्षा अतिशय यशस्वी बनूं. (३)
EN English Translation
Indra, Agni and Soma were born wishing for fame. I am also more successful than all beings who are interested in fame. (3)
