आ॒गच्छ॑त॒ आग॑तस्य॒ नाम॑ गृह्णाम्याय॒तः । इन्द्र॑स्य वृत्र॒घ्नो व॑न्वे वास॒वस्य॑ श॒तक्र॑तोः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं अपने समीप आए हुए इंद्र को प्रसन्न करने वाले नाम वृत्र हंता का उच्चारण करता हूं. विवाह की इच्छा वाला मैं वृत्र का वध करने वाले, वसुओं द्वारा उपासना किए गए और शक्ति की प्रसिद्धि करने वाले सौ कमों के स्वामी इंद्र की उपासना अभिमत फल को पाने के लिए करता हूं. (१)
EN English Translation
I utter Vritra Hanta, the name that pleases Indra, who has come close to me. With the desire for marriage, I worship Indra, the swami of a hundred, who kills Vritra, worshiped by the Vasus and who makes fame of Shakti, to get the desired fruit. (1)
येन॑ सू॒र्यां सा॑वि॒त्रीम॒श्विनो॒हतुः॑ प॒था । तेन॒ माम॑ब्रवी॒द्भगो॑ जा॒यामा व॑हता॒दिति॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार अश्चिनीकुमारो ने सविता की पुत्री सूर्या से विवाह किया, उसी प्रकार से भग ने मुझ से कहा कि पत्नी ले आओ. (२)
EN English Translation
Just as Ashchinikumaro married Surya, savita's daughter, in the same way, Bhaga told me to bring a wife. (2)
यस्ते॑ऽङ्कु॒शो व॑सु॒दानो॑ बृ॒हन्नि॑न्द्र हिर॒ण्ययः॑ । तेना॑ जनीय॒ते जा॒यां मह्यं॑ धेहि शचीपते ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा जो हाथ आकर्षक धन धारण करने वाला एवं स्वर्ण से युक्त हैं. हे शची के पति! उसी हाथ से पत्नी के इच्छुक मुझ को पत्नी प्रदान करो. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your hands are attractive and full of gold. This is Shachi's husband! Provide me the wife willing to have a wife with the same hand. (3)
