यस्ते॑ पृ॒थु स्त॑नयि॒त्नुर्य ऋ॒ष्वो दैवः॑ के॒तुर्विश्व॑मा॒भूष॑ती॒दम् । मा नो॑ वधीर्वि॒द्युता॑ देव स॒स्यं मोत व॑धी र॒श्मिभिः॒ सूर्य॑स्य ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवपर्जन्य! तुम्हारा जो विस्तृत और महान गर्जन करता हुआ वज्र है, जो बाधक, देव निर्मित एवं अनर्थ ज्ञापक वज्र है, वह इस सारे विश्व को व्याप्त करता है. हे पर्जन्य देव! इस प्रकार के वज्र से हमारी फसलों का विनाश मत करो, इस के अतिरिक्त सूर्य की किरणों से हमारी फसलों का विनाश मत होने दो. (१)
EN English Translation
O God! Your wide and great roaring thunderbolt, which is a hindrance, god-made and a disaster-making thunderbolt, it pervades this whole world. O God! Do not destroy our crops with this kind of thunderbolt, do not let our crops be destroyed by the rays of the sun. (1)
