प्र न॑भस्व पृथिवि भि॒न्द्धी॒दं दि॒व्यं नभः॑ । उ॒द्नो दि॒व्यस्य॑ नो धात॒रीशा॑नो॒ वि ष्या॒ दृति॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पृथ्वी! बादल फसल की वृद्धि के लिए तुझ पर महती वर्षा करेंगे. उस वर्षा के कारण तू दृढ़ बन. आकाश में उत्पन्न होने वाला यह बादल पृथ्वी को विदीर्ण करे. हे धाता! आकाश में होने वाले जल का भाग हमें प्रदान करो. तुम वर्षा प्रदान करने में समर्थ मेघरूपी जलपूर्ण मशक को छोड़ो अर्थात् महती वर्षा करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O earth! Clouds will rain heavily on you for crop growth. Because of that rain, you became strong. This cloud arising in the sky will scatter the earth. O dhata! Give us part of the water in the sky. You should leave the water-filled mashak of cloud capable of providing rain, that is, do great rain. (1)
न घ्रंस्त॑ताप॒ न हि॒मो ज॑घान॒ प्र न॑भतां पृथि॒वी जी॒रदा॑नुः । आप॑श्चिदस्मै घृ॒तमित्क्ष॑रन्ति॒ यत्र॒ सोमः॒ सद॒मित्तत्र॑ भ॒द्रम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ग्रीष्म ऋतु हमें संताप न दे और शीत ऋतु हमें कांपने की बाधा न पहुंचाए. अत्यधिक दान देने वाली पृथ्वी वर्षा से भीग जाए. इस यजमान के लिए जल भी प्रसन्नता कारक हों. जहां सोम नामक देव हैं, उस देश में सदा ही कल्याण होता है. (२)
EN English Translation
May the summer season not make us angry and the winter season should not hinder us from trembling. The earth that donates heavily should be drenched with rain. Water should also be a happy factor for this host. Where there is a god called Som, there is always welfare in that country. (2)
