इ॒दं ख॑नामि भेष॒जं मां॑प॒श्यम॑भिरोरु॒दम् । प॑राय॒तो नि॒वर्त॑नमाय॒तः प्र॑ति॒नन्द॑नम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं वश में करने वाली इस सौवर्चा नामक जड़ी को खोदता हूं. यह मेरे पति को मेरे अनुकूल बनाए और मेरे पति का अन्य नारियों से संबंध रोके. यह जड़ी मुझे छोड़ कर जाते हुए पति को वापस लाए तथा मेरी ओर आते हुए पति को आनंदित करे. (१)
EN English Translation
I dig this subdued herb called Sauvarcha. It will make my husband friendly to me and stop my husband's relationship with other women. This herb should leave me and bring back the husband and make the husband happy while coming towards me. (1)
येना॑ निच॒क्र आ॑सु॒रीन्द्रं॑ दे॒वेभ्य॒स्परि॑ । तेना॒ नि कु॑र्वे॒ त्वाम॒हं यथा॒ तेऽसा॑नि॒ सुप्रि॑या ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
असुरों की माया ने जिस जड़ी के बल से इंद्र के अतिरिक्त सभी देवों को युद्ध में अपने अधीन किया था, हे पति! उसी जड़ी के द्वारा मैं तुझे अपने वश में करती हूं. मैं ऐसा इसीलिए करती हूं, जिस से मैं तेरी असाधारण प्यारी हो सकूं. (२)
EN English Translation
The root with which maya of asuras had subdued all the gods except Indra in battle, O husband! I subdue you through the same herb. I do this so that I can be your extraordinary beloved. (2)
प्र॒तीची॒ सोम॑मसि प्र॒तीच्यु॒त सूर्य॑म् । प्र॒तीची॒ विश्वा॑न्दे॒वान्तां त्वा॒च्छाव॑दामसि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शंखपुष्पी नामक जड़ी! तू वशीकरण के निमित्त सोम के सम्मुख होती है. तू सब के प्रेरक सूर्य के भी सम्मुख होती है. अधिक कहने से कया लाभ, तू सभी देवों के सम्मुख होती है. मैं अपने पति को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करने के लिए तेरी स्तुति करती हूं. (३)
EN English Translation
O shankhpushpi called jadi! You are in front of Soma for the sake of vashikaran. You are also in front of the sun, the motivator of all. What is the benefit of saying more, you are in front of all the gods. I praise you for attracting my husband towards me. (3)
अ॒हं व॑दामि॒ नेत्त्वं स॒भाया॒मह॒ त्वं वद॑ । ममेदस॒स्त्वं केव॑लो॒ नान्यासां॑ की॒र्तया॑श्च॒न ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पति के वशीकरण के लिए जड़ीबूटी पा कर नारी अपने पति से कहती है—हे पति! आओ. अब मैं ही बोलूंगी. तुम कभी मत बोलना. तुम केवल विद्वानों की सभा में बोलना. हे पति! तुम केवल मेरे ही रहोगे, अन्य नारियों के नहीं. (४)
EN English Translation
After getting herbs for the husband's vashikaran, the woman says to her husband- O husband! Come. Now I will speak. You never speak. You speak only at the gathering of scholars. O husband! You will only be mine, not other women. (4)
यदि॒ वासि॑ तिरोज॒नं यदि॑ वा न॒द्यस्तिरः । इ॒यं ह॒ मह्यं॒ त्वामोष॑धिर्ब॒द्ध्वेव॒ न्यान॑यत् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पति! यदि तुम मेरी दृष्टि से ओझल हो जाओगे अथवा मुझ से दूर नदी के पार चले जाओगे, तब भी यह शंखपुष्पी नामक जड़ी पति से प्रेम करने वाली मेरे समीप तुम्हें इस प्रकार लाएगी, जैसे किसी को बांध कर लाया जाता है. (५)
EN English Translation
O husband! Even if you disappear from my sight or go across the river away from me, this herb named Shankhpushpi will bring you to me as if someone is tied up. (5)
