यो वि॒द्याद्ब्रह्म॑ प्र॒त्यक्षं॒ परूं॑षि॒ यस्य॑ संभा॒रा ऋचो॒ यस्या॑नूक्यम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो ब्रह्म को प्रत्यक्ष रूप में जानता है, उस की गांठें ही संभार हैं तथा तऋचाएं उस का अनूवय हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
He who knows Brahman directly, his knots are the sambhar and the verses are his followers. (1)
सामा॑नि॒ यस्य॒ लोमा॑नि॒ यजु॒र्हृद॑यमु॒च्यते॑ परि॒स्तर॑ण॒मिद्ध॒विः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सामवेद के मंत्र जिस के रोम हैं और परिस्तरण जिस का हवि है. (२)
EN English Translation
The mantras of samaveda which have rom and paristaran which has havi. (2)
यद्वा अति॑थिपति॒रति॑थीन्प्रति॒पश्य॑ति देव॒यज॑नं॒ प्रेक्ष॑ते ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अथवा जो अतिथियों का स्वामी और अतिथियों को देखता है, वह देव यज्ञ को ही देखता है. (३)
EN English Translation
Or the one who sees the master of the guests and the guests sees the God Yajna. (3)
यद॑भि॒वद॑ति दी॒क्षामुपै॑ति॒ यदु॑द॒कं याच॑त्य॒पः प्र ण॑यति ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अतिथि से जो बोलता है, वही दीक्षा है. जल की याचना ही उस को लाना है. (४)
EN English Translation
What speaks to the guest is initiation. The request for water is to bring it. (4)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिन्हें यज्ञ में लाया जाता है, ये वे ही जल हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Those who are brought to the yajna are the water. (5)
यत्तर्प॑णमा॒हर॑न्ति॒ य ए॒वाग्नी॑षो॒मीयः॑ प॒शुर्ब॒ध्यते॒ स ए॒व सः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो तर्पण को लाते हैं, वही अग्नि सोमीय तर्पण है. जो यज्ञ में पशु का वध किया जाता है, वही वह है. (६)
EN English Translation
Those who bring tarpan is agni somiya tarpan. The one who kills the animal in the yajna is the same. (6)
यदा॑वस॒थान्क॒ल्पय॑न्ति सदोहविर्धा॒नान्ये॒व तत्क॑ल्पयन्ति ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो टखनों की कल्पना करता है, वही मानो हवि धान्य का निर्माण है. (७)
EN English Translation
He who imagines the ankles is as if the creation of havi grain. (7)

जिन्हें उपस्तरण कहते हैं, वे ही कुश हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
What is called upasterana is Kush. (8)
यदु॑परिशय॒नमा॒हर॑न्ति स्व॒र्गमे॒व तेन॑ लो॒कमव॑ रुन्द्धे ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो उपरिशयन का आहरण करते हैं, उस से स्वर्गलोक का उद्घाटन करते हैं. (९)

Those who draw overlay, they inaugurate heaven from it. (9)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो कशिपु उपबर्हण को लाते हैं, वे ही यज्ञ की परिधियां हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
The kapipus who bring upbarhan are the peripheries of the yajna. (10)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो कशिपु उपबुंहण लाते हैं, वे ही आज्य हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
The kapiphus who bring the upabunds are the ones who are ajya. (11)
यत्पु॒रा प॑रिवे॒षात्खा॒दमा॒हर॑न्ति पुरो॒डाशा॑वे॒व तौ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो सामने परोसने के लिए खाद्य पदार्थ लाते हैं, वे ही पुरोडाश हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Those who bring food items to serve in front are purodash. (12)
यद॑शन॒कृतं॒ ह्वय॑न्ति हवि॒ष्कृत॑मे॒व तद्ध्व॑यन्ति ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
भोजन के हेतु जो आमंत्रित करते हैं, वही हवि स्वीकार करने के लिए आह्वान है. (१३)
EN English Translation
What you invite for food is a call to accept havi. (13)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो धान और जौ निरूपित किए जाते हैं, वे ही सोम हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
The paddy and barley that are denoted are somas. (14)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो उलूखल अर्थात् ओखली और मूसल हैं, वे ही पत्थर है. (१५)
EN English Translation
Those who are ulukhal i.e. okhla and pestle are stones. (15)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सूप ही पवित्र छन्ना है, भूमि ऋजीषा है और अभिषवणी ही जल है. (१६)
EN English Translation
Soup is the sacred shade, the land is the sage and the desire is water. (16)
स्रुग्दर्वि॒र्नेक्ष॑णमा॒यव॑नं द्रोणकल॒शाः कु॒म्भ्यो वाय॒व्यानि॒ पात्रा॑णी॒यमे॒व कृ॑ष्णाजि॒नम् ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
खुवा ही दर्वी अर्थात करछुली हैं, शुद्ध करना ही आयवन है, द्रोण कलश ही घड़ा है, वायव्य पात्र ही कृष्णाजिन अर्थात् काले मृग का चर्म है. (१७)
EN English Translation
Khuva is the Darvi i.e. the karchhuli, purifying is the ayavan, the drona kalash is the pitcher, the northwest vessel is the skin of krishnajin i.e. black deer. (17)
