बळि॒त्था तद्वपु॑षे धायि दर्श॒तं दे॒वस्य॒ भर्गः॒ सह॑सो॒ यतो॒ जनि॑ । यदी॒मुप॒ ह्वर॑ते॒ साध॑ते म॒तिरृ॒तस्य॒ धेना॑ अनयन्त स॒स्रुतः॑ ॥ (१)

द्योतनशील अग्नि का दर्शनीय वह तेज सब लोग शरीर की दृढ़ता के लिए धारण करते हैं, क्योंकि वह बल से उत्पन्न है. यह बात सत्य है. यह प्रसिद्ध है कि उसी तेज का सहारा लेकर मेरी बुद्धि कार्य करती है और अपना इष्ट सिद्ध करती है. यज्ञसाधक अग्नि के तेज को ही सबकी स्तुतियां प्राप्त होती हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The visible brightness of the demonic fire is possessed by all people for the firmness of the body, because it is produced by force. That's the truth. It is famous that by resorting to the same speed, my intellect works and proves its favor. It is only the brightness of the yajnashak agni that everyone gets praise. (1)
पृ॒क्षो वपुः॑ पितु॒मान्नित्य॒ आ श॑ये द्वि॒तीय॒मा स॒प्तशि॑वासु मा॒तृषु॑ । तृ॒तीय॑मस्य वृष॒भस्य॑ दो॒हसे॒ दश॑प्रमतिं जनयन्त॒ योष॑णः ॥ (२)

यह अग्नि अन्नसाधक, शरीर बढ़ाने वाला एवं हव्य अन्न से युक्त होकर एक रूप में नित्य धरती पर रहता है. दूसरे रूप में सातों लोकों का कल्याण करने वाली वर्षाओं में रहता है. तीसरे रूप में इस कामवर्षी बादल का जल बरसाने के लिए रहता है. इस प्रकार परस्पर मिली हुई दसों दिशाएं इस अग्नि को उत्पन्न करती हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
This fire is a granary, body enhancer and rich in human grain and in one form lives on the earth continuously. In the second form lives in the rain that benefits the seven lokas. In the third form this work year remains to rain the water of the cloud. Thus, the ten directions that are interconnected produce this fire. (2)
निर्यदीं॑ बु॒ध्नान्म॑हि॒षस्य॒ वर्प॑स ईशा॒नासः॒ शव॑सा॒ क्रन्त॑ सू॒रयः॑ । यदी॒मनु॑ प्र॒दिवो॒ मध्व॑ आध॒वे गुहा॒ सन्तं॑ मात॒रिश्वा॑ मथा॒यति॑ ॥ (३)

महान् यज्ञ के आरंभ से सब कार्य सिद्ध करने में समर्थ ऋत्विज् बल से अग्नि को उत्पन्न करते हैं एवं वेदीरूपी गुफा में छिपी हुई अग्नि को फैलाने के लिए चलती हुई वायु अनादि काल से प्रेरित करती है. (३)
EN English Translation
From the beginning of the great yajna, all the works are able to accomplish the work, they produce fire from the rutvikzbal and the moving wind to spread the fire hidden in the altar-like cave inspires from time immemorial. (3)
प्र यत्पि॒तुः प॑र॒मान्नी॒यते॒ पर्या पृ॒क्षुधो॑ वी॒रुधो॒ दंसु॑ रोहति । उ॒भा यद॑स्य ज॒नुषं॒ यदिन्व॑त॒ आदिद्यवि॑ष्ठो अभवद्घृ॒णा शुचिः॑ ॥ (४)

अन्न की उत्कृष्टता के निमित्त अग्नि को उत्पन्न किया जाता है. भोजन की इच्छा वाली लताएं अग्नि के दांतों में प्रवेश करती हैं. ऋत्विज् एवं यजमान दोनों ही अग्नि की उत्पत्ति का प्रयत्न करते हैं, इसलिए शुद्ध अग्नि यजमानों पर कृपा करते हुए युवा होते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Fire is produced for the sake of excellence of food. Vines desiring food enter the teeth of the fire. Both the ritwij and the host try to create the fire, so pure fire is young by gracious to the hosts. (4)
आदिन्मा॒तॄरावि॑श॒द्यास्वा शुचि॒रहिं॑स्यमान उर्वि॒या वि वा॑वृधे । अनु॒ यत्पूर्वा॒ अरु॑हत्सना॒जुवो॒ नि नव्य॑सी॒ष्वव॑रासु धावते ॥ (५)

दूसरों द्वारा बिना सताए हुए अग्नि, जिन माता रूपी दिशाओं के बीच वृद्धि को प्राप्त हुए हैं, प्रकाशित होते हुए उन्हीं में प्रविष्ट होते हैं. अग्नि स्थापन के समय जो ओषधियां डाली थीं, अग्नि उन पर चढ़ गए थे. इस समय वे नई डाली गई ओषधियों की ओर दौड़ते हैं (५)
EN English Translation
The fires that have been persecuted by others, which have attained growth between the mother-like directions, are illuminated and enter into them. The herbs that were put in place at the time of the installation of fire, the fire had climbed on them. At this time they run towards the newly cast drugs (5)
आदिद्धोता॑रं वृणते॒ दिवि॑ष्टिषु॒ भग॑मिव पपृचा॒नास॑ ऋञ्जते । दे॒वान्यत्क्रत्वा॑ म॒ज्मना॑ पुरुष्टु॒तो मर्तं॒ शंसं॑ वि॒श्वधा॒ वेति॒ धाय॑से ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋत्विज् द्युलोक में जाने की इच्छा के कारण होम संपादक अग्नि की राजा के समान पूजा करते हैं, क्योंकि ये बहुत से लोगों द्वारा स्तुत एवं यज्ञरूप कर्म तथा अपने शारीरिक बल से देवों एवं स्तुति योग्य मानवों के लिए अन्न की इच्छा करते हैं. अग्नि विश्वरूप हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Due to the desire to go to Ritviz Dyulok, the Home Editor worships Agni as a king, because he desires food for the gods and the praise-worthy human beings by many people through their own physical strength. Fire is the world form. (6)
वि यदस्था॑द्यज॒तो वात॑चोदितो ह्वा॒रो न वक्वा॑ ज॒रणा॒ अना॑कृतः । तस्य॒ पत्म॑न्द॒क्षुषः॑ कृ॒ष्णजं॑हसः॒ शुचि॑जन्मनो॒ रज॒ आ व्य॑ध्वनः ॥ (७)

यज्ञ के योग्य अग्नि वायु द्वारा प्रेरित होकर चारों ओर उसी प्रकार फैल जाते हैं, जिस प्रकार बहुवक्ता विदूषक भांति-भांति की स्तुतियां करता है. जलाने वाले, कृष्णमार्ग वाले एवं पवित्रजन्म वाले अग्नि के गमनमार्ग में समस्त लोक स्थित हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
The worthy of yajna are inspired by the agni air and spread around in the same way as the multi-speaker clown praises a variety of praises. All the worlds are located in the path of agni with burning, krishna marg and holy birth. (7)
रथो॒ न या॒तः शिक्व॑भिः कृ॒तो द्यामङ्गे॑भिररु॒षेभि॑रीयते । आद॑स्य॒ ते कृ॒ष्णासो॑ दक्षि सू॒रयः॒ शूर॑स्येव त्वे॒षथा॑दीषते॒ वयः॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार रस्सियों से बंधा हुआ रथ अपने पहिए आदि अंगों के सहारे चलता है, उसी प्रकार अग्नि अपनी ज्वालाओं के साथ आकाश में जाते हैं. वे अपने मार्ग को काले रंग का बनाने के लिए लकड़ियों को जलाते हैं. अग्नि के तेज से पक्षी उसी प्रकार भाग जाते हैं, जिस प्रकार वीर के भय से लोग भागते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
Just as a chariot tied to ropes moves with its wheels, etc., on the other hand, so the fire goes into the sky with its flames. They burn the wood to make their passages black. The birds run away from the speed of fire in the same way as people run away in fear of the heroic. (8)
त्वया॒ ह्य॑ग्ने॒ वरु॑णो धृ॒तव्र॑तो मि॒त्रः शा॑श॒द्रे अ॑र्य॒मा सु॒दान॑वः । यत्सी॒मनु॒ क्रतु॑ना वि॒श्वथा॑ वि॒भुर॒रान्न ने॒मिः प॑रि॒भूरजा॑यथाः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारे कारण वरुण व्रतधारी, मित्र अंधकारनाशकर्ता एवं अर्यमा शोभनदानशील होते हैं. जिस प्रकार नेमि रथ के पहियों के अरों को धारण करती है, उसी प्रकार अग्नि अपने यज्ञरूपी कर्म के द्वारा सर्वव्यापक एवं अपने तेज से सबका पराभव करते हुए उत्पन्न होते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O fire! Because of you, Varuna is a fast-keeper, a friend a dark-worshipper and Aryama is a behostoofible. Just as Nemi holds the arrows of the wheels of the chariot, so the fire is born by its sacrificial deeds, omnipresent and defeating all with its brightness. (9)
त्वम॑ग्ने शशमा॒नाय॑ सुन्व॒ते रत्नं॑ यविष्ठ दे॒वता॑तिमिन्वसि । तं त्वा॒ नु नव्यं॑ सहसो युवन्व॒यं भगं॒ न का॒रे म॑हिरत्न धीमहि ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अत्यंत युवा अग्नि! तुम स्तुति करने वाले एवं सोम निचोड़ने वाले यजमानों के कल्याण के निमित्त उनका रमणीय हव्य देवों के समीप ले जाकर विस्तृत करते हो. हे बलपुत्र, धनसंपन्न, नित्यतरुण एवं हव्यभोक्ता अग्नि! हम यजमान स्तोत्र बोलते समय तुम्हें शीघ्र स्थापित करते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
Oh, very young fire! You extend their delightful greetings to the gods for the welfare of the hosts who praise and squeeze the mons. O son of strength, wealth, nityatrun and havyabhyakta agni! We install you quickly when speaking the host hymn. (10)
अ॒स्मे र॒यिं न स्वर्थं॒ दमू॑नसं॒ भगं॒ दक्षं॒ न प॑पृचासि धर्ण॒सिम् । र॒श्मीँरि॑व॒ यो यम॑ति॒ जन्म॑नी उ॒भे दे॒वानां॒ शंस॑मृ॒त आ च॑ सु॒क्रतुः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! जिस प्रकार तुम हमें वरणीय एवं पूज्य धन देते हो, उसी प्रकार सबको आकृष्ट करने वाला, उत्साहित एवं विद्याधारण में कुशल पुत्र देते हो. अग्नि अपनी किरणों के समान ही अपने जन के आधार दोनों लोकों का विस्तार करते हैं. शोभनयज्ञकर्ता अग्नि हमारे यज्ञ में देवस्तुति को विस्तार देते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
O fire! Just as you give us wealth worth of choice and worship, so you give us a son who attracts everyone, is excited and skilled in education. Fire extends both realms to the base of its mass just like its rays. Shobhanayagyakara Agni expands the devastostuti in our yajna. (11)
उ॒त नः॑ सु॒द्योत्मा॑ जी॒राश्वो॒ होता॑ म॒न्द्रः शृ॑णवच्च॒न्द्रर॑थः । स नो॑ नेष॒न्नेष॑तमै॒रमू॑रो॒ऽग्निर्वा॒मं सु॑वि॒तं वस्यो॒ अच्छ॑ ॥ (१२)

कया अत्यंत द्योतमान, गतिशील अश्वों वाले, देवों को बुलाने वाले, आनंदपूर्ण स्वर्णरथ के स्वामी, अमोघशक्तिसंपन्न एवं निवासयोग्य अग्नि हमारा आह्वान सुनेंगे? कया वह हमें सरलता से प्राप्त एवं सबके द्वारा अभिलषित स्वर्ग में हमारे कमों द्वारा ले जाएंगे? (१२)
EN English Translation
Will the most promiscuous, dynamic horses, those who call the gods, the masters of the blissful golden chariot, the incompetent and habitable fires hear our call? Will He lead us to the heavens easily received and desired by all by our servants? (12)
अस्ता॑व्य॒ग्निः शिमी॑वद्भिर॒र्कैः साम्रा॑ज्याय प्रत॒रं दधा॑नः । अ॒मी च॒ ये म॒घवा॑नो व॒यं च॒ मिहं॒ न सूरो॒ अति॒ निष्ट॑तन्युः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अत्यंत प्रकाश धारण करने वाले अग्नि की हमने हव्यप्रदान आदि करमो एवं अर्चनासाधक मंत्रों द्वारा स्तुति की है. जिस प्रकार सूर्य बरसने वाले बादल को शब्द युक्त करता है, उसी प्रकार हम सब यजमान इस अग्ने की स्तुति करते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
We have praised the fire that holds the utmost light through the mantras of havyapradan adi karmo and archanasadhak mantras. Just as the sun makes the raining cloud with words, so all of us hosts praise this agne. (13)
