सो॒मानं॒ स्वर॑णं कृणु॒हि ब्र॑ह्मणस्पते । क॒क्षीव॑न्तं॒ य औ॑शि॒जः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ब्रह्मणस्पति! तुमने जिस प्रकार उशिज के पुत्र कक्षीवान् को प्रसिद्ध किया था, उसी प्रकार सोमरस देने वाले यजमान को भी देवताओं में प्रसिद्ध करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Brahmaspati! Just as you made the son of Ushij famous, Kshanivan, so also make the host of the Somras famous among the gods. (1)
यो रे॒वान्यो अ॑मीव॒हा व॑सु॒वित्पु॑ष्टि॒वर्ध॑नः । स नः॑ सिषक्तु॒ यस्तु॒रः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो ब्रह्मणस्पति धन के स्वामी, रोगनिवारण करने वाले, संपत्तिदाता, पुष्टिवर्धक एवं शीघ्र फल देने वाले हैं, वे हम पर कृपा करें. (२)
EN English Translation
May the Brahmanaspatis, the masters of wealth, the healers, the givers of wealth, the givers of wealth, the givers of affirmative and quick fruits, have mercy on us. (2)
मा नः॒ शंसो॒ अर॑रुषो धू॒र्तिः प्रण॒ङ्मर्त्य॑स्य । रक्षा॑ णो ब्रह्मणस्पते ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उपद्रव करने वाले एवं द्वेषपूर्ण निंदा के शब्द बोलने वाले शत्रु हमसे दूर रहें. हे ब्रह्मणस्पति! उनसे हमारी रक्षा करो. (३)
EN English Translation
Let the enemies who make mischief and speak words of malicious condemnation stay away from us. O Brahmaspati! Protect us from them. (3)
स घा॑ वी॒रो न रि॑ष्यति॒ यमिन्द्रो॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिः॑ । सोमो॑ हि॒नोति॒ मर्त्य॑म् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र, वरुण और सोम जिस यजमान की उन्नति करते हैं, उस वीर पुरुष का विनाश नहीं होता. (४)
EN English Translation
The host that Indra, Varuna and Som progress to, that heroic man is not destroyed. (4)
त्वं तं ब्र॑ह्मणस्पते॒ सोम॒ इन्द्र॑श्च॒ मर्त्य॑म् । दक्षि॑णा पा॒त्वंह॑सः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ब्रह्मणस्पति! तुम, सोम, इंद्र एवं दक्षिणा नामक देवी उस यजमान की पाप से रक्षा करो. (५)
EN English Translation
O Brahmaspati! You, the Goddess named Soma, Indra and Dakshina, protect the host from the sin. (5)
सद॑स॒स्पति॒मद्भु॑तं प्रि॒यमिन्द्र॑स्य॒ काम्य॑म् । स॒निं मे॒धाम॑यासिषम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आश्चर्यजनक कर्म करने वाले, इंद्र के प्रिय, परम सुंदर एवं धनप्रदाता सदसस्पति (अग्नि) नामक देव के सामने हम बुद्धि की याचना करने आए हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
We have come to pray for wisdom in front of a deity named Sadaspati (agni), who does wonders, is Indra's beloved, most beautiful and bestower of wealth. (6)
यस्मा॑दृ॒ते न सिध्य॑ति य॒ज्ञो वि॑प॒श्चित॑श्च॒न । स धी॒नां योग॑मिन्वति ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिन सदसस्पति (अग्नि) की प्रसन्नता के बिना विद्वान् यजमान का यज्ञ भी पूर्ण नहीं होता, वह ही हमारे मन को इस यज्ञ में लगावें. (७)
EN English Translation
Without the happiness of the member(s) of Agni, even the yagya of a learned host would not have been completed, he should engage his mind in this yagya. (7)
आदृ॑ध्नोति ह॒विष्कृ॑तिं॒ प्राञ्चं॑ कृणोत्यध्व॒रम् । होत्रा॑ दे॒वेषु॑ गच्छति ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इसके बाद वही सदसस्पति (अग्नि) हविसंपादन करने वाले यजमान की उन्नति करते हैं एवं यज्ञ को निर्विघ्नतापूर्वक समाप्त करते हैं. उन्हीं की कृपा से हमारी स्तुतियां देवों के पास जाएं. (८)
EN English Translation
After this, the same sadaspati (fire) who performs the Havis performs the progress of the Yajman and ends the Yagya without any problems. By his grace, our praises should go to the gods. (8)
नरा॒शंसं॑ सु॒धृष्ट॑म॒मप॑श्यं स॒प्रथ॑स्तमम् । दि॒वो न सद्म॑मखसम् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्रतापी, अत्यंत प्रसिद्ध एवं द्युलोक के समान तेजस्वी नराशंस (अग्नि) देवता को मैं देख चुका हूं. (९)
EN English Translation
I have seen the majestic, very famous and the dazzling Narasana (agni) deity like Dulok. (9)
