ते॑ऽवदन्प्रथ॒मा ब्र॑ह्मकिल्बि॒षेऽकू॑पारः सलि॒लो मा॑त॒रिश्वा॑ । वी॒ळुह॑रा॒स्तप॑ उ॒ग्रो म॑यो॒भूरापो॑ दे॒वीः प्र॑थम॒जा ऋ॒तेन॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बृहस्पति द्वारा पत्नीत्यागरूपी पाप किए जाने पर आदित्य, वरुण, वायु, जलती हुई अग्नि, सुखदायी सोम, दिव्य जलों एवं प्रजापति द्वारा पहले उत्पादित संतानों ने कहा. (१)
EN English Translation
Aditya, Varuna, Vayu, The Burning Fire, The Soodhaya Soma, the Divine Waters and the offspring produced earlier by Prajapati said when Jupiter committed the sin of wife.' (1)
सोमो॒ राजा॑ प्रथ॒मो ब्र॑ह्मजा॒यां पुनः॒ प्राय॑च्छ॒दहृ॑णीयमानः । अ॒न्व॒र्ति॒ता वरु॑णो मि॒त्र आ॑सीद॒ग्निर्होता॑ हस्त॒गृह्या नि॑नाय ॥ (२)

राजा सोम ने लज्जा का त्याग करके बृहस्पतिपत्नी जुहू को सबसे पहले उसे दिया. मित्र और वरुण इस में मध्यस्थ बने. देवों को बुलाने वाले अग्नि उसे हाथ पकड़कर लाए. (२)
EN English Translation
King Som renounced the shame and gave jupiter's wife Juhu to him first. Mitra and Varun became the mediators in this. The agni that called the gods brought him by holding hands. (2)
हस्ते॑नै॒व ग्रा॒ह्य॑ आ॒धिर॑स्या ब्रह्मजा॒येयमिति॒ चेदवो॑चन् । न दू॒ताय॑ प्र॒ह्ये॑ तस्थ ए॒षा तथा॑ रा॒ष्ट्रं गु॑पि॒तं क्ष॒त्रिय॑स्य ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उन लोगों ने बृहस्पति से कहा-“यह तुम्हारी विवाहिता पत्नी है. तुम्हें इसका शरीर हाथ से ग्रहण करना चाहिए. इन्हें खोजने को दूत गया था, उसके प्रति इसने समर्पण नहीं किया था. यह शक्तिशाली राजा के राष्ट्र के समान सुरक्षित है. (३)
EN English Translation
They said to Jupiter, "This is your married wife. You should receive its body by hand. The messenger had gone to find them, to him he did not surrender. It is as safe as the nation of the mighty king. (3)
दे॒वा ए॒तस्या॑मवदन्त॒ पूर्वे॑ सप्तऋ॒षय॒स्तप॑से॒ ये नि॑षे॒दुः । भी॒मा जा॒या ब्रा॑ह्म॒णस्योप॑नीता दु॒र्धां द॑धाति पर॒मे व्यो॑मन् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों एवं तपस्या के लिए बैठे हुए सप्तऋषियों ने इस पत्नी की पवित्रता के विषय में कहा है. बृहस्पति द्वारा विवाहिता यह नारी शुद्ध चरित्र वाली है. तप का प्रभाव बुरे पदार्थ को भी आकाश में पहुंचा देता है. (४)
EN English Translation
The Saptarishis, who are sitting for gods and tapasya, have spoken about the purity of this wife. Married by Jupiter, this woman has a pure character. The effect of tapasya also brings bad matter to the sky. (4)
ब्र॒ह्म॒चा॒री च॑रति॒ वेवि॑ष॒द्विषः॒ स दे॒वानां॑ भव॒त्येक॒मङ्ग॑म् । तेन॑ जा॒यामन्व॑विन्द॒द्बृह॒स्पतिः॒ सोमे॑न नी॒तां जु॒ह्वं१॒॑ न दे॑वाः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सत्री के अभाव में ब्रह्मचर्य का पालन करने वाले जैसे बृहस्पति ने देवों की सेवा करके यज्ञ के एक भाग के रूप में इसे प्राप्त किया, उसी प्रकार इस समय देवों से पाया. (५)
EN English Translation
Those who followed celibacy in the absence of a satari, just as Jupiter received it as a part of the yagna by serving the devas, similarly got it from the devas at this time. (5)
पुन॒र्वै दे॒वा अ॑ददुः॒ पुन॑र्मनु॒ष्या॑ उ॒त । राजा॑नः स॒त्यं कृ॑ण्वा॒ना ब्र॑ह्मजा॒यां पुन॑र्ददुः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों और मानवों ने जुहू नामक पत्नी बृहस्पति को पुनः प्रदान की. शपथ लेते हुए राजाओं ने ब्रह्मपत्नी को प्रदान किया. (६)
EN English Translation
The gods and humans restored the wife Jupiter named Juhu. Taking the oath, the kings gave it to brahma devi. (6)
पु॒न॒र्दाय॑ ब्रह्मजा॒यां कृ॒त्वी दे॒वैर्नि॑किल्बि॒षम् । ऊर्जं॑ पृथि॒व्या भ॒क्त्वायो॑रुगा॒यमुपा॑सते ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों ने पत्नी पुनः बृहस्पति को दी एवं इस प्रकार उन्हें पापरहित बनाया. इसके बाद सब लोग धरती का धन आपस में बांटकर सुख से रहने लगे. (७)
EN English Translation
The gods gave the wife again to Jupiter and thus made her sinless. After this, all the people started living happily by dividing the wealth of the earth among themselves. (7)
