इन्द्र॒ पिब॑ प्रतिका॒मं सु॒तस्य॑ प्रातःसा॒वस्तव॒ हि पू॒र्वपी॑तिः । हर्ष॑स्व॒ हन्त॑वे शूर॒ शत्रू॑नु॒क्थेभि॑ष्टे वी॒र्या॒३॒॑ प्र ब्र॑वाम ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! निचोड़े हुए सोम को इच्छानुसार पिओ. प्रातःकाल निचोड़ा हुआ सोम सबसे पहले तुम्हें पीना चाहिए. हे वीर! शत्रुवध के लिए उत्साहित बनो. हम मंत्रों द्वारा तुम्हारी वीरता का बखान करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Drink the squeezed mon as desired. In the morning squeezed mon you should drink first. Oh, hero! Be excited for the host. We describe your bravery through mantras. (1)
यस्ते॒ रथो॒ मन॑सो॒ जवी॑या॒नेन्द्र॒ तेन॑ सोम॒पेया॑य याहि । तूय॒मा ते॒ हर॑यः॒ प्र द्र॑वन्तु॒ येभि॒र्यासि॒ वृष॑भि॒र्मन्द॑मानः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा जो रथ मन से भी अधिक तेज चलने वाला है, उसके द्वारा सोमरस पीने के लिए आओ. जिन घोड़ों की सहायता से तुम आनंदित होते हुए जाते हो, वे घोड़े तुम्हें शीघ्र वहन करें. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Come to drink someras through your chariot which is going to run faster than the mind. The horses with which you go out happily, let the horses bear you quickly. (2)
हरि॑त्वता॒ वर्च॑सा॒ सूर्य॑स्य॒ श्रेष्ठै॑ रू॒पैस्त॒न्वं॑ स्पर्शयस्व । अ॒स्माभि॑रिन्द्र॒ सखि॑भिर्हुवा॒नः स॑ध्रीची॒नो मा॑दयस्वा नि॒षद्य॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हरे रंग के तेज और सूर्य के श्रेष्ठरूपों द्वारा तुम अपने शरीर को विभूषित करो. हम मित्रों द्वारा बुलाए जाने पर तुम हमारे साथ मिलकर बैठो और आनंदित बनो. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You adorn your body by the green rays and the superior forms of the sun. When we are called by friends, you sit with us and be joyful. (3)
यस्य॒ त्यत्ते॑ महि॒मानं॒ मदे॑ष्वि॒मे म॒ही रोद॑सी॒ नावि॑विक्ताम् । तदोक॒ आ हरि॑भिरिन्द्र यु॒क्तैः प्रि॒येभि॑र्याहि प्रि॒यमन्न॒मच्छ॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सोमपान करने के बाद तुम्हारी जो महिमा होती है, उसे ये विस्तृत द्यावा-पृथिवी अलग नहीं कर सकते. तुम अपने प्यारे घोड़ों को रथ में जोतकर यजमान के घर आओ और प्रिय अन्न प्राप्त करो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! These broad-earth can't separate the glory that you have after you have done sompan. You come to the host's house by ploughing your beloved horses in the chariot and get dear food. (4)
यस्य॒ शश्व॑त्पपि॒वाँ इ॑न्द्र॒ शत्रू॑ननानुकृ॒त्या रण्या॑ च॒कर्थ॑ । स ते॒ पुरं॑धिं॒ तवि॑षीमियर्ति॒ स ते॒ मदा॑य सु॒त इ॑न्द्र॒ सोमः॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम जिस यजमान का सोमरस पीकर अद्वितीय आयुध से उसके शत्रुओं को मारते हो, वही तुम्हारे लिए अधिक स्तुति करता है एवं तुम्हारे नशे के लिए उसने सोमरस निचोड़ा है. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! The host whose somras you drink and kill his enemies with a unique weapon is the one who praises you more and for your intoxication he has squeezed the somras. (5)
इ॒दं ते॒ पात्रं॒ सन॑वित्तमिन्द्र॒ पिबा॒ सोम॑मे॒ना श॑तक्रतो । पू॒र्ण आ॑हा॒वो म॑दि॒रस्य॒ मध्वो॒ यं विश्व॒ इद॑भि॒हर्य॑न्ति दे॒वाः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सौ यज्ञ करने वाले इंद्र! यह पात्र तुमने सदा प्राप्त किया है. तुम इसके द्वारा सोमरस पिओ. देव जिस पात्र को चाहते हैं, उसी मादक पात्र को सोमरस से पूरा भर दिया गया है. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra, who performs a hundred yajnas! This is the character you have always received. You drink somers by it. The character that Dev wants, the same intoxicating character has been filled with somras. (6)
वि हि त्वामि॑न्द्र पुरु॒धा जना॑सो हि॒तप्र॑यसो वृषभ॒ ह्वय॑न्ते । अ॒स्माकं॑ ते॒ मधु॑मत्तमानी॒मा भु॑व॒न्सव॑ना॒ तेषु॑ हर्य ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र! बहुत से अन्न संग्रह करने वाले लोग तुम्हें अनेक स्थानों में सोमरस पीने के लिए बुलाते हैं. हमारा तैयार किया हुआ सोम तुम्हें सबसे अधिक मीठा लगे एवं तुम उन्हें चाहो. (७)
EN English Translation
Oh, this desireful Indra! Many food collectors call you to drink somras in many places. Our prepared mons look sweetest to you and you want them. (7)
प्र त॑ इन्द्र पू॒र्व्याणि॒ प्र नू॒नं वी॒र्या॑ वोचं प्रथ॒मा कृ॒तानि॑ । स॒ती॒नम॑न्युरश्रथायो॒ अद्रिं॑ सुवेद॒नाम॑कृणो॒र्ब्रह्म॑णे॒ गाम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! प्राचीनकाल में तुमने सबसे पहले जो वीरता दिखाई थी, मैं उसकी निश्चय ही प्रशंसा करता हूं. तुमने जल बरसाने की इच्छा से मेघ को विदीर्ण किया एवं स्तोता के लिए गाय पाना सुलभ बनाया. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! I certainly admire the bravery you first showed in ancient times. You pierced the cloud with the desire to rain water and made it accessible for the hymn to get a cow. (8)
नि षु सी॑द गणपते ग॒णेषु॒ त्वामा॑हु॒र्विप्र॑तमं कवी॒नाम् । न ऋ॒ते त्वत्क्रि॑यते॒ किं च॒नारे म॒हाम॒र्कं म॑घवञ्चि॒त्रम॑र्च ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे गणों के स्वामी इंद्र! तुम स्तोताओं के समूहों में बैठो. तुम कर्मकर्ता व्यक्तियों में सर्वाधिक कुशल हो, पास या दूर, तुम्हारे बिना कोई भी यज्ञकार्य नहीं होता है. हे धन स्वामी इंद्र! हमारे स्तुतिमंत्रों को विस्तृत और विचित्र बनाओ. (९)
EN English Translation
O Lord indra of the ganas! You sit in groups of hymns. You are the most skilled among the workers, near or far away, without you there is no sacrificial work. O Lord of Wealth Indra! Make our hymns elaborate and bizarre. (9)
अ॒भि॒ख्या नो॑ मघव॒न्नाध॑माना॒न्सखे॑ बो॒धि व॑सुपते॒ सखी॑नाम् । रणं॑ कृधि रणकृत्सत्यशु॒ष्माभ॑क्ते चि॒दा भ॑जा रा॒ये अ॒स्मान् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! हम स्तुतिकर्ताओं को तेजस्वी बनाओ. हे धनपालक एवं मित्र इंद्र! हमें अपना मित्र जानो. ये युद्धकर्ता एवं सच्ची शक्ति वाले इंद्र! धन की संभावना से रहित स्थान में ही हमें धन प्राप्त कराओ. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Dhanaswami Indra! We make the praises stunning. O rich and friend Indra! Get to know us your friend. These are the warrs and the true power of Indra! Get us money only in a place without the possibility of money. (10)
