ई॒जा॒नमिद्द्यौर्गू॒र्ताव॑सुरीजा॒नं भूमि॑र॒भि प्र॑भू॒षणि॑ । ई॒जा॒नं दे॒वाव॒श्विना॑व॒भि सु॒म्नैर॑वर्धताम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्वर्ग यज्ञकर्ता के लिए ही धन धारण करता है. भूमि उसीको संपत्ति वाला बनाती है. अश्विनीकुमार देवयज्ञकर्ता को ही नाना सुखसामम्री द्वारा बढ़ाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Heaven holds wealth only for the yajnakar. The land makes it a property. Ashwinikumar increases the devagyakta only through various pleasuresamri. (1)
ता वां॑ मित्रावरुणा धार॒यत्क्षि॑ती सुषु॒म्नेषि॑त॒त्वता॑ यजामसि । यु॒वोः क्रा॒णाय॑ स॒ख्यैर॒भि ष्या॑म र॒क्षसः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धरती को धारण करने वाले मित्र व वरुण! हम सुख के उत्तम साधन पाने के लिए तुम्हारी पूजा करते हैं. यज्ञकर्ता के प्रति तुम दोनों का जो मित्रता का भाव है, उसी के द्वारा हम राक्षसों को जीतें. (२)
EN English Translation
O friend and Varuna who possesses the earth! We worship you to get the best means of happiness. The spirit of friendship that both of you have towards the yajnakar, by means of which we conquer the demons. (2)
अधा॑ चि॒न्नु यद्दिधि॑षामहे वाम॒भि प्रि॒यं रेक्णः॒ पत्य॑मानाः । द॒द्वाँ वा॒ यत्पुष्य॑ति॒ रेक्णः॒ सम्वा॑र॒न्नकि॑रस्य म॒घानि॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्रवरुण! जिस समय हम तुम्हारे लिए हव्य धारण करने की इच्छा करते हैं, उसी समय हम प्रिय धन के पास पहुंच जाते हैं. तुम्हें हव्य देने वाला जो धन प्राप्त करता है, उसको कोई भी नष्ट नहीं कर सकता. (३)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend! At the time when we desire to hold on to you, at the same time we come to dear wealth. No one can destroy the money that gives you the money. (3)
अ॒साव॒न्यो अ॑सुर सूयत॒ द्यौस्त्वं विश्वे॑षां वरुणासि॒ राजा॑ । मू॒र्धा रथ॑स्य चाक॒न्नैताव॒तैन॑सान्तक॒ध्रुक् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शक्तिशाली मित्र! स्वर्ग जिसे उत्पन्न करता है, वह सूर्य तुमसे भिन्न है. हे वरुण! तुम सबके राजा हो. तुम्हारे रथ का ऊपरी भाग इधर ही आ रहा है. यह यज्ञ राक्षसों को नष्ट करने वाला है. इसे पाप नहीं छू पाता. (४)
EN English Translation
O powerful friend! The sun that heaven produces is different from you. Hey Varun! You are the king of all of you. The upper part of your chariot is coming here. This yajna is going to destroy the demons. Sin cannot touch it. (4)
अ॒स्मिन्स्वे॒३॒॑तच्छक॑पूत॒ एनो॑ हि॒ते मि॒त्रे निग॑तान्हन्ति वी॒रान् । अ॒वोर्वा॒ यद्धात्त॒नूष्ववः॑ प्रि॒यासु॑ य॒ज्ञिया॒स्वर्वा॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मित्र देव के हितैषी बन जाने के कारण मुझ शकपूत ऋषि में स्थित पाप नीच शत्रुओं को नष्ट करता है. मित्र देव आकर हमारे शरीरों की रक्षा करें तथा यज्ञों की प्रिय सामग्री को सुरक्षित करें. (५)
EN English Translation
The sin in my sage Shakput destroys the lowly enemies because of the friend god's benefactor. May the friend God come and protect our bodies and protect the beloved material of the yagnas. (5)
यु॒वोर्हि मा॒तादि॑तिर्विचेतसा॒ द्यौर्न भूमिः॒ पय॑सा पुपू॒तनि॑ । अव॑ प्रि॒या दि॑दिष्टन॒ सूरो॑ निनिक्त र॒श्मिभिः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे विशिष्ट ज्ञान वाले मित्र एवं वरुण! अदिति तुम्हारी माता है. तुम धरती और आकाश को जल से भर दो. तुम नीचे वाले लोक में प्रिय वस्तुएं दो एवं सूर्य की किरणों द्वारा सारे संसार को पवित्र बनाओ. (६)
EN English Translation
O friend of special knowledge and Varuna! Aditi is your mother. Fill the earth and the sky with water. You give dear things in the people below and sanctify the whole world by the rays of the sun. (6)
यु॒वं ह्य॑प्न॒राजा॒वसी॑दतं॒ तिष्ठ॒द्रथं॒ न धू॒र्षदं॑ वन॒र्षद॑म् । ता नः॑ कणूक॒यन्ती॑र्नृ॒मेध॑स्तत्रे॒ अंह॑सः सु॒मेध॑स्तत्रे॒ अंह॑सः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम अपने-अपने कर्मो से दीप्तिशाली बनकर अपने स्थानों पर ठहरो. वन में घूमने वाला तुम्हारा रथ घोड़ों के मार्ग में स्थित है. तुम दोनों जोर से चिल्लाते हुए शत्रुओं को हराने के लिए रथ में बैठते हो. बुद्धिमान् ऋषि नृमेध से छूट चुके हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! Stay in your places as you shine with your deeds. Your chariot that roams in the forest is located in the path of the horses. You both sit in the chariot to defeat the enemies shouting loudly. The wise sage has been exempted from the ethrimedha. (7)
