अ॒हं भु॑वं॒ वसु॑नः पू॒र्व्यस्पति॑र॒हं धना॑नि॒ सं ज॑यामि॒ शश्व॑तः । मां ह॑वन्ते पि॒तरं॒ न ज॒न्तवो॒ऽहं दा॒शुषे॒ वि भ॑जामि॒ भोज॑नम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं ही धन का असाधारण स्वामी रहा हूं. मैं सदा धनों को जीतता रहा हूं. यजमान मुझे ही बुलाते हैं. पुत्र जैसे पिता को अन्न देता है, वैसे ही मैं हव्यदाता यजमान को अन्न देता हूं. (१)
EN English Translation
I have been an extraordinary master of wealth. I've always won money. The host calls me. Just as the Son gives food to the Father, so I give food to the host of the husband. (1)
अ॒हमिन्द्रो॒ रोधो॒ वक्षो॒ अथ॑र्वणस्त्रि॒ताय॒ गा अ॑जनय॒महे॒रधि॑ । अ॒हं दस्यु॑भ्यः॒ परि॑ नृ॒म्णमा द॑दे गो॒त्रा शिक्ष॑न्दधी॒चे मा॑त॒रिश्व॑ने ॥ (२)

मैंने अथर्वा के पुत्र दध्यङ् का शिर काट डाला था. कुएं में गिरे हुए त्रित की रक्षा के लिए मैंने मेघ में जल धारण किया था एवं शत्रुओं से धन छीना था. मैंने मातरिश्वा के पुत्र दधीचि के कल्याण के लिए जलरक्षक मेघों को नम्र बनाया था. (२)
EN English Translation
I had cut off the head of Atharva's son Dadyang. To protect the tritta that had fallen into the well, I had held water in the cloud and snatched money from the enemies. I had humbled the water-guard clouds for the welfare of Dadhichi, the son of Matrishwa. (2)
मह्यं॒ त्वष्टा॒ वज्र॑मतक्षदाय॒सं मयि॑ दे॒वासो॑ऽवृज॒न्नपि॒ क्रतु॑म् । ममानी॑कं॒ सूर्य॑स्येव दु॒ष्टरं॒ मामार्य॑न्ति कृ॒तेन॒ कर्त्वे॑न च ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
त्वष्टा ने मेरे लिए लोहे का वज्र बनाया था. देवगण मेरे लिए यज्ञ पूरा करते हैं. मेरी सेवा सूर्य के समान दुस्तर है. लोग मेरे द्वारा भूतकाल में किए गए एवं भविष्य में किए जाने वाले कार्यो के कारण मेरे पास आते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Taksha had made an iron vajra for me. The gods complete the yajna for me. My service is as fast as the sun. People come to Me because of the work I have done in the past and what I do in the future. (3)
अ॒हमे॒तं ग॒व्यय॒मश्व्यं॑ प॒शुं पु॑री॒षिणं॒ साय॑केना हिर॒ण्यय॑म् । पु॒रू स॒हस्रा॒ नि शि॑शामि दा॒शुषे॒ यन्मा॒ सोमा॑स उ॒क्थिनो॒ अम॑न्दिषुः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जब यजमान मुझे सोमरस एवं स्तुतियों से प्रसन्न करते हैं, तब मैं आयुधों के द्वारा शत्रु की गायों, घोड़ों, धनों एवं दुधारू पशुओं को जीतता हूं तथा हव्यदाता यजमान के कल्याण के लिए अनेक शस्त्रों को तेज करता हूं. (४)
EN English Translation
When the yajman please me with somrus and praises, I conquer the enemy's cows, horses, riches, and milch animals through the armaments and intensify many weapons for the welfare of the yajman. (4)
अ॒हमिन्द्रो॒ न परा॑ जिग्य॒ इद्धनं॒ न मृ॒त्यवेऽव॑ तस्थे॒ कदा॑ च॒न । सोम॒मिन्मा॑ सु॒न्वन्तो॑ याचता॒ वसु॒ न मे॑ पूरवः स॒ख्ये रि॑षाथन ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं धनों का स्वामी हूं. मेरे धनों को कोई जीत नहीं पाता. मैं कभी भी मृत्यु का लक्ष्य नहीं बनता. हे सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले यजमानो! तुम मनचाहा धन मुझसे ही मांगो. हे मनुष्यो! मेरी मित्रता का विनाश कभी मत करो. (५)
EN English Translation
I am the master of wealth. No one wins my money. I never become the target of death. O somras squeezing hosts! You want money from me. O men! Never destroy my friendship. (5)
अ॒हमे॒ताञ्छाश्व॑सतो॒ द्वाद्वेन्द्रं॒ ये वज्रं॑ यु॒धयेऽकृ॑ण्वत । आ॒ह्वय॑माना॒ँ अव॒ हन्म॑नाहनं दृ॒ळ्हा वद॒न्नन॑मस्युर्नम॒स्विनः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैंने अधिक शक्तिशाली व दो-दो के रूप में मुझ वज्रधारी इंद्र के साथ लड़ने के लिए तैयार व युद्ध के लिए ललकारने वाले शत्रुओं को कठोर वचन कहकर मार डाला. मैं स्वयं नहीं झुका. मैंने उन्हें झुका दिया. (६)
EN English Translation
I killed the enemies who were more powerful and two-by-two, ready to fight with the thunderbolt Indra and challenging me for war, with a stern word. I didn't bend myself. I hooked them up. (6)
अ॒भी॒३॒॑दमेक॒मेको॑ अस्मि नि॒ष्षाळ॒भी द्वा किमु॒ त्रयः॑ करन्ति । खले॒ न प॒र्षान्प्रति॑ हन्मि॒ भूरि॒ किं मा॑ निन्दन्ति॒ शत्र॑वोऽनि॒न्द्राः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं अकेला ही एक शत्रु को हराता हूं. शत्रुओं को सहन न करने वाला मैं दो को भी पराजित करता हूं. तीन शत्रु मेरा क्या कर लेंगे? किसान जिस प्रकार खलियान में अनाज को कुचलता है, उसी प्रकार मैं बहुत से शत्रुओं को नष्ट कर देता हूं. मुझ इंद्र के विरोधी शत्रु मेरी क्या निंदा कर सकते हैं? (७)
EN English Translation
I alone defeat an enemy. I defeat two, who do not tolerate enemies. What will the three enemies do to me? Just as the farmer crushes the grain in Khaliyan, so I destroy many enemies. What can my enemies opposed to Indra condemn me? (7)
अ॒हं गु॒ङ्गुभ्यो॑ अतिथि॒ग्वमिष्क॑र॒मिषं॒ न वृ॑त्र॒तुरं॑ वि॒क्षु धा॑रयम् । यत्प॑र्णय॒घ्न उ॒त वा॑ करञ्ज॒हे प्राहं म॒हे वृ॑त्र॒हत्ये॒ अशु॑श्रवि ॥ (८)

मैंने गुंगु नामक जनपदों की रक्षा के लिए अतिथिग्व के पुत्र दिवोदास ऋषि को विपत्तिनिवारक, शत्रुनाशक एवं प्रजाओं में अन्न के समान सेवनीय बनाकर स्थापित किया था. मैं पर्णय और करंज नामक शत्रुओं के वध वाले युद्ध में बहुत प्रसिद्ध हुआ था. (८)
EN English Translation
I had established The Sage Divodas, the son of The Atishtagva, to protect the districts called Gungu by making him a disaster-destroyer, a destroyer of enemies and as edible as food among the people. I became very famous in the war of killing enemies called Parnay and Karanj. (8)
प्र मे॒ नमी॑ सा॒प्य इ॒षे भु॒जे भू॒द्गवा॒मेषे॑ स॒ख्या कृ॑णुत द्वि॒ता । दि॒द्युं यद॑स्य समि॒थेषु॑ मं॒हय॒मादिदे॑नं॒ शंस्य॑मु॒क्थ्यं॑ करम् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मेरे स्तोता सबके आश्रय योग्य तथा अन्न व भोगों के दाता होते हैं. लोग गायों को खोजने एवं मित्रता पाने के लिए दो प्रकार से मेरी स्तुति करते हैं. मैं जब अपने स्तोता की विजय के लिए युद्धों में आयुध ग्रहण करता हूं, तब इसे प्रशंसा और स्तुति के योग्य बना देता हुं. (९)
EN English Translation
My stothas are the protectors of all and givers of food and enjoyments. People praise Me in two ways for finding cows and finding friendship. When I take the armament in wars for the victory of my stotha, I make it worthy of praise and praise. (9)
प्र नेम॑स्मिन्ददृशे॒ सोमो॑ अ॒न्तर्गो॒पा नेम॑मा॒विर॒स्था कृ॑णोति । स ति॒ग्मशृ॑ङ्गं वृष॒भं युयु॑त्सन्द्रु॒हस्त॑स्थौ बहु॒ले ब॒द्धो अ॒न्तः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दो युद्ध करने वालों में जो सोमयज्ञ करने वाला होता है, उसी की रक्षा करने वाला इंद्र वज्र से उसे अपराजेय बनाता है. जो सोमयज्ञ नहीं करता, वह तीखे बाण बरसाने वाले के साथ लड़ने को तैयार होता है, पर अंधकार में बंध जाता है. (१०)
EN English Translation
Indra, who protects the somayagya who is the one who does somayagya among the two war-doers, makes him unbeatable with the vajra. He who does not do somayagna is ready to fight with the one who hurls sharp arrows, but is bound in darkness. (10)
आ॒दि॒त्यानां॒ वसू॑नां रु॒द्रिया॑णां दे॒वो दे॒वानां॒ न मि॑नामि॒ धाम॑ । ते मा॑ भ॒द्राय॒ शव॑से ततक्षु॒रप॑राजित॒मस्तृ॑त॒मषा॑ळ्हम् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं इंद्र, आदित्यो, वसुओं एवं रुद्रदेवों का स्थान नष्ट नहीं करता हूं. इन देवों ने मुझ अपराजित, अहिंसित एवं न झुकने वाले इंद्र को कल्याण एवं अन्न के लिए बनाया था. (११)
EN English Translation
I do not destroy the place of Indra, Aditya, Vasuon and Rudradeva. These gods had made me an undefeated, non-violent and unshakable Indra for well-being and food. (11)
