प्र ते॑ म॒हे वि॒दथे॑ शंसिषं॒ हरी॒ प्र ते॑ वन्वे व॒नुषो॑ हर्य॒तं मद॑म् । घृ॒तं न यो हरि॑भि॒श्चारु॒ सेच॑त॒ आ त्वा॑ विशन्तु॒ हरि॑वर्पसं॒ गिरः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शन्रुहिंसक इंद्र! मैं यज्ञ में तुम्हारे घोड़ों की विशेष प्रशंसा करता हूं एवं तुमसे प्रसन्न होने की प्रार्थना करता हूं. तुम अपने हरि नामक घोड़ों द्वारा आकर हमें घी से सींचो. हे शुभ्रवर्ण इंद्र! मेरी स्तुतियां तुम्हें प्राप्त हों. (१)
EN English Translation
O fierce Indra! I give special praise to your horses in the yajna and pray to be pleased with you. You come by your horses named Hari and water us with ghee. O auspicious Indra! May you receive my praises. (1)
हरिं॒ हि योनि॑म॒भि ये स॒मस्व॑रन्हि॒न्वन्तो॒ हरी॑ दि॒व्यं यथा॒ सदः॑ । आ यं पृ॒णन्ति॒ हरि॑भि॒र्न धे॒नव॒ इन्द्रा॑य शू॒षं हरि॑वन्तमर्चत ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! पुराने स्तोताओं ने इंद्र को यज्ञगृह की ओर प्रेरित किया तथा इंद्र के घोड़ों को यज्ञ में बुलाया. गाएं जिस प्रकार दूध से भिगोती हैं, उसी प्रकार उन्होंने इंद्र को सोमरस से तृप्त किया. तुम भी इंद्र एवं उनके घोड़ों की शक्ति की प्रशंसा करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O stotao! The previous stotas led Indra towards the yajnagriha and called Indra's horses to the yagna. Just as the cows soak with milk, so they satiated Indra with somras. You also praise the power of Indra and his horses. (2)
सो अ॑स्य॒ वज्रो॒ हरि॑तो॒ य आ॑य॒सो हरि॒र्निका॑मो॒ हरि॒रा गभ॑स्त्योः । द्यु॒म्नी सु॑शि॒प्रो हरि॑मन्युसायक॒ इन्द्रे॒ नि रू॒पा हरि॑ता मिमिक्षिरे ॥ (३)

इंद्र का वज्र लोहे का बना हुआ, सुंदर, शत्रुनाशक एवं हाथों में धारण करने योग्य है. धनी, शोभन नासिका वाले, क्रोध में भरकर बाण द्वारा शत्रुनाश करने वाले इंद्र को हरे रंग के सोम द्वारा सींचा गया. (३)
EN English Translation
Indra's thunderbolt is made of iron, beautiful, anti-hostile and worthy of holding in his hands. Indra, who had rich, shobhan-nosed, was filled with anger and annihilated by an arrow, was watered by a green som. (3)
दि॒वि न के॒तुरधि॑ धायि हर्य॒तो वि॒व्यच॒द्वज्रो॒ हरि॑तो॒ न रंह्या॑ । तु॒ददहिं॒ हरि॑शिप्रो॒ य आ॑य॒सः स॒हस्र॑शोका अभवद्धरिम्भ॒रः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्तोताओं ने आकाश में सूर्य के समान इंद्र के वज्र को स्थिर किया. उस वज्र ने अपने वेग से सारी दिशाओं को व्याप्त कर लिया. हरी नासिका वाले एवं सोमपानकर्तता इंद्र ने वज्र से शत्रु को मारते समय हजारों प्रकार की दीप्ति धारण की. (४)
EN English Translation
The Stotas fixed indra's thunderbolt like the sun in the sky. The thunderbolt permeated all directions with its velocity. Indra, who has a green nose and a sompankarta, wore thousands of types of radiance while killing the enemy with a thunderbolt. (4)
त्वंत्व॑महर्यथा॒ उप॑स्तुतः॒ पूर्वे॑भिरिन्द्र हरिकेश॒ यज्व॑भिः । त्वं ह॑र्यसि॒ तव॒ विश्व॑मु॒क्थ्य१॒॑मसा॑मि॒ राधो॑ हरिजात हर्य॒तम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे हरे केशों वाले इंद्र! तुम प्राचीन यजमानों द्वारा प्रशंसित होकर हवि की कामना करते थे. हे हरे रंग वाले इंद्र! तुम्हारा समस्त अन्न व्याप्त, प्रशंसनीय, असाधारण एवं सुंदर है. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra with green hair! You were admired by the ancient hosts and wished for the Havi. O green indra! All your food is pervasive, admirable, extraordinary and beautiful. (5)
ता व॒ज्रिणं॑ म॒न्दिनं॒ स्तोम्यं॒ मद॒ इन्द्रं॒ रथे॑ वहतो हर्य॒ता हरी॑ । पु॒रूण्य॑स्मै॒ सव॑नानि॒ हर्य॑त॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ सोमा॒ हर॑यो दधन्विरे ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे गतिशील घोड़े वज्रधारी, प्रसन्न व स्तुतियोग्य इंद्र को रथ में बैठाकर हमारे यज्ञ में लाते हैं. इस कांत इंद्र के लिए यज्ञों में हरे रंग का सोमरस अधिक मात्रा में निचोड़ा जाता है. (६)
EN English Translation
They bring the moving horses thunderboldly, happy and praiseworthy Indra to our yagna by sitting in the chariot. In the yagnas for this Kant Indra, the green somras are squeezed in large quantities. (6)
अरं॒ कामा॑य॒ हर॑यो दधन्विरे स्थि॒राय॑ हिन्व॒न्हर॑यो॒ हरी॑ तु॒रा । अर्व॑द्भि॒र्यो हरि॑भि॒र्जोष॒मीय॑ते॒ सो अ॑स्य॒ कामं॒ हरि॑वन्तमानशे ॥ (७)

स्थिर इंद्र के लिए रखा हुआ पर्याप्त सोमरस इंद्र के शीघ्रगामी अश्चों को यज्ञ के प्रति प्रेरित करता है. जो रथ हरे रंग के घोड़ों द्वारा संग्राम में ले जाया जाता है, वही रथ इंद्र द्वारा अभिलषित एवं सोमरस से पूर्ण यज्ञ में स्थित होता है. (७)
EN English Translation
Enough somras kept for the stable Indra inspires indra's early assh towards yajna. The chariot which is carried in the struggle by green horses, the same chariot is located in the yajna, anointed by Indra and full of somras. (7)
हरि॑श्मशारु॒र्हरि॑केश आय॒सस्तु॑र॒स्पेये॒ यो ह॑रि॒पा अव॑र्धत । अर्व॑द्भि॒र्यो हरि॑भिर्वा॒जिनी॑वसु॒रति॒ विश्वा॑ दुरि॒ता पारि॑ष॒द्धरी॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हरे रंग की दाढ़ी एवं केशों वाले तथा लौहमय हृदय वाले इंद्र शीघ्र पीने योग्य हरे रंग के सोमरस को पीकर बढ़ते हैं. यज्ञरूपी संपत्ति वाले इंद्र को हरे रंग के घोड़े यज्ञ में ले जाते हैं. इंद्र घोड़ों को रथ में जोड़कर हमारी सब दुर्दशा दूर करें. (८)
EN English Translation
With a green beard and hair and an iron heart, Indra grows by drinking a quickly potable green somras. The green horses take Indra, who has sacrificial property, to the yagna. May Indra remove all our plight by adding horses to the chariot. (8)
स्रुवे॑व॒ यस्य॒ हरि॑णी विपे॒ततुः॒ शिप्रे॒ वाजा॑य॒ हरि॑णी॒ दवि॑ध्वतः । प्र यत्कृ॒ते च॑म॒से मर्मृ॑ज॒द्धरी॑ पी॒त्वा मद॑स्य हर्य॒तस्यान्ध॑सः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार खुवा होम के लिए नीचे गिरता है, उसी प्रकार इंद्र की हरे रंग की आंखें यज्ञ पर पड़ीं. इंद्र सोमरूप अन्न का भक्षण करने के लिए अपने हरे रंग के जबड़ों को गति देते हैं. शुद्ध चमस में वर्तमान नशीले एवं सुंदर सोमरस को पीकर घोड़े अपने शरीर को सचेत बनाते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
Just as Khuwa falls down to the home, Indra's green eyes fall on the yagna. Indra Somrup speeds up his green jaws to devour the food. The horses make their bodies conscious by drinking the present intoxicating and beautiful somras in pure spoons. (9)
उ॒त स्म॒ सद्म॑ हर्य॒तस्य॑ प॒स्त्यो॒३॒॑रत्यो॒ न वाजं॒ हरि॑वाँ अचिक्रदत् । म॒ही चि॒द्धि धि॒षणाह॑र्य॒दोज॑सा बृ॒हद्वयो॑ दधिषे हर्य॒तश्चि॒दा ॥ (१०)

कमनीय इंद्र का घर द्यावा-पृथिवी है. वे घोड़ों से युक्त होकर तीव्र गति से युद्ध में जाते हैं. विशाल स्तुति बलशाली इंद्र की कामना करती है. तुम यजमान को विशाल अन्न देते हो. (१०)
EN English Translation
The house of the commenascent Indra is Dyava-Prithvivi. They go to war at a fast pace with horses. The huge praise wishes for the mighty Indra. You give the host a huge grain. (10)
आ रोद॑सी॒ हर्य॑माणो महि॒त्वा नव्यं॑नव्यं हर्यसि॒ मन्म॒ नु प्रि॒यम् । प्र प॒स्त्य॑मसुर हर्य॒तं गोरा॒विष्कृ॑धि॒ हर॑ये॒ सूर्या॑य ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषायुक्त इंद्र! तुम अपने महत्त्व से द्यावा-पृथिवी को पूर्ण करते हो एवं अत्यंत नवीन तथा प्रिय स्तोत्रों की कामना करते हो. हे शक्तिशाली इंद्र! गायों के सुंदर स्थान को जल हरण करने वाले सूर्य के लिए प्रकट करो. (११)
EN English Translation
O desireful Indra! You fulfill the earth with your importance and wish for very new and beloved hymns. O mighty Indra! Reveal the beautiful place of cows to the water-wracking sun. (11)
आ त्वा॑ ह॒र्यन्तं॑ प्र॒युजो॒ जना॑नां॒ रथे॑ वहन्तु॒ हरि॑शिप्रमिन्द्र । पिबा॒ यथा॒ प्रति॑भृतस्य॒ मध्वो॒ हर्य॑न्य॒ज्ञं स॑ध॒मादे॒ दशो॑णिम् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे हरे रंग के जबड़ों वाले इंद्र! तुम्हारे घोड़े रथ में जुतकर तुम्हारी इच्छानुसार तुम्हें यजमानों के यज्ञ में ले जावें. तुम अपने लिए रखा हुआ मधुर सोमरस पिओ. तुम युद्ध में यज्ञ के साधन एवं दस उंगलियों द्वारा निचोड़े गए सोम को पिओ. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra with green jaws! May your horses join the chariot and take you to the yagna of the hosts according to your wishes. Drink the sweet somras you have kept for yourself. You drink the means of yajna in battle and the mon squeezed by ten fingers. (12)
अपाः॒ पूर्वे॑षां हरिवः सु॒ताना॒मथो॑ इ॒दं सव॑नं॒ केव॑लं ते । म॒म॒द्धि सोमं॒ मधु॑मन्तमिन्द्र स॒त्रा वृ॑षञ्ज॒ठर॒ आ वृ॑षस्व ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्चों के स्वामी इंद्र! तुमने प्रातः सवन में तैयार किया गया सोमरस पिया है. यह माध्यंदिन सवन केवल तुम्हारे लिए है. इस मधुर सोम का तुम स्वाद लो. हे अधिक वर्षा करने वाले इंद्र! सोमरस से तुम अपना उदर सींचो. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Lord indra of the ashes! You have drunk the somras prepared in the morning. This median swan is only for you. Taste this sweet mon to you. O Indra who showers more! You irrigate your stomach with somras. (13)
