धा॒नाव॑न्तं कर॒म्भिण॑मपू॒पव॑न्तमु॒क्थिन॑म् । इन्द्र॑ प्रा॒तर्जु॑षस्व नः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! भुने हुए जौ वाले, दही से मिले सत्तुओं से युक्ता, पुरोडाश सहित एवं उक्थ मंत्रों के उच्चारणपूर्वक प्रातःकाल के यज्ञ में दिए गए सोम का तुम सेवन करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You should consume the som given in the morning yajna with roasted barley, yukta with sattus from curd, including purodas and recitation of uqtha mantras. (1)
पु॒रो॒ळाशं॑ पच॒त्यं॑ जु॒षस्वे॒न्द्रा गु॑रस्व च । तुभ्यं॑ ह॒व्यानि॑ सिस्रते ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम पके हुए पुरोडाश का भक्षण करो एवं उसे भक्षण करने के लिए प्रयत्न करो. हवन योग्य पुराडोश तुम्हारे लिए जाता है. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You feed on the ripe purodash and try to feed it. Havan worthy purdosh goes for you. (2)
पु॒रो॒ळाशं॑ च नो॒ घसो॑ जो॒षया॑से॒ गिर॑श्च नः । व॒धू॒युरि॑व॒ योष॑णाम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारे पुरोडाश को खाओ तथा हमारी स्तुतियों का उसी प्रकार सेवन करो, जिस प्रकार कामी पुरुष सुंदर नारी की सेवा करता है. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Eat our purodash and consume our praises in the same way that the kaami man serves the beautiful woman. (3)
पु॒रो॒ळाशं॑ सनश्रुत प्रातःसा॒वे जु॑षस्व नः । इन्द्र॒ क्रतु॒र्हि ते॑ बृ॒हन् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पुराण होने के नाते प्रसिद्ध इंद्र! इस प्रातःकालीन यज्ञ में हमारे पुरोडाश का भक्षण करो. इससे तुम्हारा कर्म महान् होगा. (४)
EN English Translation
O Purana being the famous Indra! Eat our purodas in this morning yajna. This will make your work great. (4)
माध्यं॑दिनस्य॒ सव॑नस्य धा॒नाः पु॑रो॒ळाश॑मिन्द्र कृष्वे॒ह चारु॑म् । प्र यत्स्तो॒ता ज॑रि॒ता तूर्ण्य॑र्थो वृषा॒यमा॑ण॒ उप॑ गी॒र्भिरीट्टे॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! दोपहर के यज्ञ में भुने हुए जौ के शोभन पुरोडाश का यहां आकर भक्षण करो. तुम्हारी सेवा में तत्पर, तुम्हारी स्तुति करने के लिए बैल के समान इधर-उधर शीघ्रता से घूमने वाला स्तोता तुम्हारी उत्तम स्तुति जब करता है, तब तुम पुरोडाश खाते हो. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Come here and eat the shobhan purodash of roasted barley in the afternoon yajna. Ready in your service, when the parrot, who moves around like a bull to praise you, gives you the best praise, you eat the purodash. (5)
तृ॒तीये॑ धा॒नाः सव॑ने पुरुष्टुत पुरो॒ळाश॒माहु॑तं मामहस्व नः । ऋ॒भु॒मन्तं॒ वाज॑वन्तं त्वा कवे॒ प्रय॑स्वन्त॒ उप॑ शिक्षेम धी॒तिभिः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बहुतों द्वारा स्तुति किए गए इंद्र! तृतीय सवन अर्थात् संध्याकालीन यज्ञ में हमारे भुने हुए जौ एवं हवन किए गए पुरोडाश को भक्षण द्वारा महान् बनाओ. हे ऋभुओं से युक्त, धनयुक्त पुत्रों वाले तथा कवि इंद्र! हम हव्य हाथ में लेकर स्तुतियों द्वारा तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra praised by many! In the third savan i.e. evening yajna, make our roasted barley and havan-performed purodash great by devouring. O lord of the sages, with rich sons and the poet Indra! We serve you with praises in our hands. (6)
पू॒ष॒ण्वते॑ ते चकृमा कर॒म्भं हरि॑वते॒ हर्य॑श्वाय धा॒नाः । अ॒पू॒पम॑द्धि॒ सग॑णो म॒रुद्भिः॒ सोमं॑ पिब वृत्र॒हा शू॑र वि॒द्वान् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सूर्य सहित इंद्र! हम तुम्हारे लिए दही मिला सत्तू तैयार करते हैं. हे हरि नामक एवं हरे रंग के घोड़ों वाले इंद्र! तुम्हारे लिए हम जौ भूनते हैं. तुम मरुतों के साथ आकर पुरोडाश खाओ. हे वृत्रनाशक, शूर एवं विद्वान् इंद्र! तुम सोम पिओ. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra with the sun! We prepare sattu for you found curd. O Indra named Hari and with green horses! For you we fry barley. You come with the maruts and eat the purodash. O vrithrashakta, brave and learned Indra! You drink mon. (7)
प्रति॑ धा॒ना भ॑रत॒ तूय॑मस्मै पुरो॒ळाशं॑ वी॒रत॑माय नृ॒णाम् । दि॒वेदि॑वे स॒दृशी॑रिन्द्र॒ तुभ्यं॒ वर्ध॑न्तु त्वा सोम॒पेया॑य धृष्णो ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अध्वर्युगण! मनुष्यों में वीरतम इंद्र के लिए शीघ्र भुने जौ तथा पुरोडाश दो. हे शत्रुपराभवकारी इंद्र! तुम्हीं को लक्ष्य करके प्रतिदिन की गई एक सी स्तुतियां तुम्हें सोमपान के लिए उत्साहपूर्ण करें. (८)
EN English Translation
O teacher! Give the quick roasted barley and purodash for indra, the bravest of men. O enemy-defeating Indra! May one of the praises made every day by targeting you, make you excited for sompan. (8)
