आ या॒त्विन्द्रोऽव॑स॒ उप॑ न इ॒ह स्तु॒तः स॑ध॒माद॑स्तु॒ शूरः॑ । वा॒वृ॒धा॒नस्तवि॑षी॒र्यस्य॑ पू॒र्वीर्द्यौर्न क्ष॒त्रम॒भिभू॑ति॒ पुष्या॑त् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारे साथ प्रसन्न होने वाले, शूर, वृद्धि को प्राप्त, प्रभूत-बलसंपन्न एवं सूर्य के समान शत्रुपराभवकारी व शक्ति को बढ़ाने वाले इंद्र हमारी स्तुतियां सुनकर हमारी रक्षा के लिए यहां यज्ञ में पधारें. (१)
EN English Translation
Indra, who is pleased with us, who enjoys us, attains prosperity, is strong and an enemy like the sun, and increases power, and listens to our praises and comes here in the yagna to protect us. (1)
तस्येदि॒ह स्त॑वथ॒ वृष्ण्या॑नि तुविद्यु॒म्नस्य॑ तुवि॒राध॑सो॒ नॄन् । यस्य॒ क्रतु॑र्विद॒थ्यो॒३॒॑ न स॒म्राट् सा॒ह्वान्तरु॑त्रो अ॒भ्यस्ति॑ कृ॒ष्टीः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! तुम इस यज्ञ में नेता मरुतों की स्तुति करो, जो इंद्र के बलस्वरूप हैं. अतिशय यशस्वी एवं असीमित धनसंपन्न इंद्र का शत्रुओं को हराने वाला एवं भक्तों की रक्षा करने वाला कर्म शत्रु की प्रजाओं को उसी प्रकार पराभूत कर देता है, जिस प्रकार यज्ञ की योग्यता रखने वाला राजा सबको हराता है. (२)
EN English Translation
This stotao! Praise the leader maruts in this yajna, who are the strength of Indra. The very successful and unlimited wealthy, Indra's action of defeating the enemies and protecting the devotees defeats the enemy's subjects in the same way that the king who is capable of yajna defeats everyone. (2)
आ या॒त्विन्द्रो॑ दि॒व आ पृ॑थि॒व्या म॒क्षू स॑मु॒द्रादु॒त वा॒ पुरी॑षात् । स्व॑र्णरा॒दव॑से नो म॒रुत्वा॑न्परा॒वतो॑ वा॒ सद॑नादृ॒तस्य॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम लोगों की रक्षा के निमित्त इंद्र मरुतों के साथ स्वर्ग, धरती, अंतरिक्ष, जल, आदित्य मंडल, दूरवर्ती स्थान अथवा जल के स्थान मेघ से यहां आवें. (३)
EN English Translation
In order to protect the people, we should come here from heaven, earth, space, water, aditya mandala, remote place or the cloud in place of water with indra maruts. (3)
स्थू॒रस्य॑ रा॒यो बृ॑ह॒तो य ईशे॒ तमु॑ ष्टवाम वि॒दथे॒ष्विन्द्र॑म् । यो वा॒युना॒ जय॑ति॒ गोम॑तीषु॒ प्र धृ॑ष्णु॒या नय॑ति॒ वस्यो॒ अच्छ॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम स्थूल एवं विशाल धन के स्वामी, प्राणवायु रूप बल द्वारा शत्रु सेना को विजय करने वाले, प्रगल्भ एवं स्तुतिकर्तताओं को उत्तम धन प्रदान करने वाले इंद्र को लक्ष्य करके स्तुति करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
We praise Indra, the master of vast and vast wealth, who conquered the enemy army by force of oxygen, who gave the best money to the prolific and eulogists. (4)
उप॒ यो नमो॒ नम॑सि स्तभा॒यन्निय॑र्ति॒ वाचं॑ ज॒नय॒न्यज॑ध्यै । ऋ॒ञ्ज॒सा॒नः पु॑रु॒वार॑ उ॒क्थैरेन्द्रं॑ कृण्वीत॒ सद॑नेषु॒ होता॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
समस्त लोकों का स्तंभन करके, यज्ञ के निमित्त गर्जनरूपी ध्वनि करने वाले, हव्य ग्रहण करके वर्षा द्वारा लोगों को अन्न देने वाले एवं उत्तम स्तोत्रं द्वारा स्तुति करने योग्य इंद्र को हम बुलाते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
We call Indra, who erects all the people, who makes a roaring sound for the sake of the yagna, who gives food to the people by the rain by taking the haavya, and praiseworthy of the people by the best hymns. (5)
धि॒षा यदि॑ धिष॒ण्यन्तः॑ सर॒ण्यान्सद॑न्तो॒ अद्रि॑मौशि॒जस्य॒ गोहे॑ । आ दु॒रोषाः॑ पा॒स्त्यस्य॒ होता॒ यो नो॑ म॒हान्सं॒वर॑णेषु॒ वह्निः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र की स्तुति के इच्छुक एवं यजमान के घर में रहने वाले स्तोताओं के स्तुति करते हुए समीप उपस्थित होते ही इंद्र आवें एवं युद्ध में हम लोगों के सहायक हों. इंद्र यजमानों के होता एवं असहनीय क्रोध वाले हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
As soon as he is present near, desirous of praising Indra and praising the stoetas living in the host's house, Indra should come and help us in the war. Indra belongs to hosts and has intolerable anger. (6)
स॒त्रा यदीं॑ भार्व॒रस्य॒ वृष्णः॒ सिष॑क्ति॒ शुष्मः॑ स्तुव॒ते भरा॑य । गुहा॒ यदी॑मौशि॒जस्य॒ गोहे॒ प्र यद्धि॒ये प्राय॑से॒ मदा॑य ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
विश्व॒ का भरणपोषण करने वाले, प्रजापति के पुत्र एवं कामवर्षी इंद्र की शक्ति स्तुति करने वाले यजमान की सेवा करती है, वास्तविक रूप से यजमानों का पालन करने के लिए गुफा रूपी हृदय में उत्पन्न होती है, यजमान के गृह व यज्ञकर्म में स्थित रहती है, यजमानों की अभिलाषापूर्ति एवं प्रसन्नता के लिए उत्पन्न होती है तथा यजमानों का पालन करती है. (७)
EN English Translation
The power of Indra, the son of Prajapati, who sustains the universe, serves the host who praises him, arises in the cave-like heart to actually obey the hosts, is located in the house and yagnakarma of the host, arises for the fulfillment and happiness of the hosts and obeys the hosts. (7)
वि यद्वरां॑सि॒ पर्व॑तस्य वृ॒ण्वे पयो॑भिर्जि॒न्वे अ॒पां जवां॑सि । वि॒दद्गौ॒रस्य॑ गव॒यस्य॒ गोहे॒ यदी॒ वाजा॑य सु॒ध्यो॒३॒॑ वह॑न्ति ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने मेघरूपी द्वार को खोलकर जलसमूह द्वारा जल को वेग के साथ प्रवाहित किया. जब शोभन-यज्ञकर्म करने वाला यजमान इंद्र के लिए सुंदर हव्य धारण करता है, तो उसे धन और गौर एवं गवय नामक पशुओं की प्राप्ति होती है. (८)
EN English Translation
Indra opened the meghrupi gate and flowed the water through the water group with velocity. When the host who performs shobhan-yajnakarma wears a beautiful havan for Indra, he gets wealth and animals called Gaur and Gawai. (8)
भ॒द्रा ते॒ हस्ता॒ सुकृ॑तो॒त पा॒णी प्र॑य॒न्तारा॑ स्तुव॒ते राध॑ इन्द्र । का ते॒ निष॑त्तिः॒ किमु॒ नो म॑मत्सि॒ किं नोदु॑दु हर्षसे॒ दात॒वा उ॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे कल्याण करने वाले हाथ उत्तम कर्म के अनुष्ठान के साथ यजमान को धन दान करते हैं. तुम्हारी स्थिति क्या है? तुम हमें प्रसन्न क्यों नहीं बनाते? हमें धन देने के लिए दया क्यों नहीं करते? (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your welfare hands donate money to the host with the ritual of best deeds. What is your position? Why don't you make us happy? Why don't we have mercy on giving us money? (9)
ए॒वा वस्व॒ इन्द्रः॑ स॒त्यः स॒म्राड्ढन्ता॑ वृ॒त्रं वरि॑वः पू॒रवे॑ कः । पुरु॑ष्टुत॒ क्रत्वा॑ नः शग्धि रा॒यो भ॑क्षी॒य तेऽव॑सो॒ दैव्य॑स्य ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सत्ययुक्त, धन के स्वामी एवं वृत्र राक्षस का नाश करने वाले इंद्र स्तुति सुनकर यजमान को धन देते हैं. हे बहुतों द्वारा स्तुत इंद्र! हमारी स्तुति के बदले हमें धन दो. उससे हम दिव्य अन्न का भोग करेंगे. (१०)
EN English Translation
Indra, the true man, the lord of wealth and the destroyer of the vritra rakshasa, hears praise and gives wealth to the host. O Indra praised by many! Give us money in exchange for our praise. From him we will enjoy the divine grain. (10)
नू ष्टु॒त इ॑न्द्र॒ नू गृ॑णा॒न इषं॑ जरि॒त्रे न॒द्यो॒३॒॑ न पी॑पेः । अका॑रि ते हरिवो॒ ब्रह्म॒ नव्यं॑ धि॒या स्या॑म र॒थ्यः॑ सदा॒साः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जिस प्रकार जल सरिता को पूर्ण करता है, उसी प्रकार तुम पूर्ववर्ती ऋषियों की तथा हमारी स्तुतियां सुनकर उन्हें स्वीकार करो एवं हमारा अन्न बढ़ाओ. हे हरि नामक घोड़ों के स्वामी इंद्र! हमने तुम्हारे निमित्त नवीन स्तुतियां बनाई हैं. हम रथ के स्वामी एवं तुम्हारे सेवक बनें. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as water completes the stream, so listen to the praises of the previous sages and our praises and accept them and increase our food. O Lord indra of horses named Hari! We have made new praises for you. Let us be the masters of the chariot and your servants. (11)
