आ रु॑द्रास॒ इन्द्र॑वन्तः स॒जोष॑सो॒ हिर॑ण्यरथाः सुवि॒ताय॑ गन्तन । इ॒यं वो॑ अ॒स्मत्प्रति॑ हर्यते म॒तिस्तृ॒ष्णजे॒ न दि॒व उत्सा॑ उद॒न्यवे॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र से युक्त, परस्पर प्रीति संपन्न, सोने के रथों पर बैठे हुए एवं रुद्रपुत्र मरुतो! तुम सरल गमन वाले हमारे यज्ञ में आओ. हमारी स्तुति तुम्हारी कामना करती है. जिस प्रकार तुमने प्यासे एवं जल चाहने वाले गोतम के पास स्वर्ग से आकर जल पहुंचाया था, उसी प्रकार तुम हमारे समीप आओ. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra, of mutual love, sitting on gold chariots and maruto the son of Rudra! You come to our yajna with simple passages. Our praise wishes you. Just as you came from heaven to gotam, the thirsty and the one who wants water, so come near to us. (1)
वाशी॑मन्त ऋष्टि॒मन्तो॑ मनी॒षिणः॑ सु॒धन्वा॑न॒ इषु॑मन्तो निष॒ङ्गिणः॑ । स्वश्वाः॑ स्थ सु॒रथाः॑ पृश्निमातरः स्वायु॒धा म॑रुतो याथना॒ शुभ॑म् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे भक्षण साधनयुक्त, छुरी वाले, मनस्वी, शोभन-धनुष के स्वामी, बाणों वाले, तूणीर वाले, शोभन अश्व एवं रथ वाले मरुतो! तुम लोग शोभन आयुध धारण करो. हे पृश्निपुत्र मरुतो! तुम हमारे कल्याण के लिए आगमन करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O devouring instruments, the knife- walas, the manasvis, the masters of the shobhan-bow, the arrows, the tunir ones, the shobhan horses and the charioteered marutos! You guys wear the adornment armament. O son of the earth, Maruto! You come for our welfare. (2)
धू॒नु॒थ द्यां पर्व॑तान्दा॒शुषे॒ वसु॒ नि वो॒ वना॑ जिहते॒ याम॑नो भि॒या । को॒पय॑थ पृथि॒वीं पृ॑श्निमातरः शु॒भे यदु॑ग्राः॒ पृष॑ती॒रयु॑ग्ध्वम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! तुम आकाश में बादलों को इधर-उधर बिखेरो तथा हवि देने वाले यजमान को धन दो. तुम्हारे आने के डर से वन कांपने लगते हैं. हे उग्र एवं पृश्निपुत्र मरुतो! वर्षा द्वारा धरती को विचलित करो. तुम अपने रथ में बुंदकियों वाली घोड़ियां जोड़ते हो. (३)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! You scatter the clouds around in the sky and give money to the host who gives you money. The forests begin to tremble for fear of your coming. O you of wrath and the beloved, Maruto! Distract the earth by rain. You add horses with bunts to your chariot. (3)
वात॑त्विषो म॒रुतो॑ व॒र्षनि॑र्णिजो य॒मा इ॑व॒ सुस॑दृशः सु॒पेश॑सः । पि॒शङ्गा॑श्वा अरु॒णाश्वा॑ अरे॒पसः॒ प्रत्व॑क्षसो महि॒ना द्यौरि॑वो॒रवः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मरुद्गण सदा दीप्तिसंपन्न, वर्षाकारक, अश्चिनीकुमारो के समान शोभन सादृश्य वाले, शोभनरूप, पीले घोड़ों वाले, लाल रंग के घोड़ों के स्वामी, पापरहित, शत्रुनाशकर्ता एवं आकाश के समान विस्तृत हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
The deserts are always bright, rain-fed, with the same adornmental analogy as the aschinikumaro, adorned, with yellow horses, masters of red horses, sinless, hostile and as wide as the sky. (4)
पु॒रु॒द्र॒प्सा अ॑ञ्जि॒मन्तः॑ सु॒दान॑वस्त्वे॒षसं॑दृशो अनव॒भ्ररा॑धसः । सु॒जा॒तासो॑ ज॒नुषा॑ रु॒क्मव॑क्षसो दि॒वो अ॒र्का अ॒मृतं॒ नाम॑ भेजिरे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अधिक जल से युक्त, आभरणों से सुशोभित, शोभन दानशील, दीप्त आकृति वाले, क्षयरहित धन के स्वामी, उत्तम जन्म वाले, जन्म से ही सीने पर सोने का हार धारण करने वाले एवं पूज्य मरुद्गण स्वर्ग से आकर अमृत प्राप्त करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
With more water, adorned with fillers, adorned with fillers, adorned with adornments, bright-shaped, masters of decayless wealth, those of good birth, those who hold a golden necklace on the chest from birth and the revered deserts come from heaven to receive nectar. (5)
ऋ॒ष्टयो॑ वो मरुतो॒ अंस॑यो॒रधि॒ सह॒ ओजो॑ बा॒ह्वोर्वो॒ बलं॑ हि॒तम् । नृ॒म्णा शी॒र्षस्वायु॑धा॒ रथे॑षु वो॒ विश्वा॑ वः॒ श्रीरधि॑ त॒नूषु॑ पिपिशे ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! तुम्हारे कंधों पर ऋष्टि नामक आयुध, भुजाओं में शत्रुओं को पराजित करने वाला बल, शीशों पर सुनहरी पगड़ियां, रथों में भांति-भांति के अस्त्र-शस्त्र तथा शरीर में शोभा विराजमान है. (६)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! On your shoulders is the weapon called The Rishti, the force that defeats the enemies in the arms, the golden turbans on the glasses, the various weapons in the chariots and the adornment in the body. (6)
गोम॒दश्वा॑व॒द्रथ॑वत्सु॒वीरं॑ च॒न्द्रव॒द्राधो॑ मरुतो ददा नः । प्रश॑स्तिं नः कृणुत रुद्रियासो भक्षी॒य वोऽव॑सो॒ दैव्य॑स्य ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! तुम हमें गायों, घोड़ों, रथ, उत्तम संतान एवं सोने से युक्त अन्न दो. हे रुद्रपुत्र मरुतो! हमें समृद्ध बनाओ. हम तुम्हारी उत्तम रक्षा प्राप्त करें. (७)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! You give us cows, horses, chariots, fine offspring and gold-rich food. O Rudraputra Maruto! Make us rich. We get your best defense. (7)
ह॒ये नरो॒ मरु॑तो मृ॒ळता॑ न॒स्तुवी॑मघासो॒ अमृ॑ता॒ ऋत॑ज्ञाः । सत्य॑श्रुतः॒ कव॑यो॒ युवा॑नो॒ बृह॑द्गिरयो बृ॒हदु॒क्षमा॑णाः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे नेता, असीमित धन के स्वामी, मरणरहित, जल बरसाने वाले, सत्य के कारण प्रसिद्ध, मेधावी व तरुण मरुतो! तुम बहुत सी स्तुतियों के विषय एवं अधिक वर्षा करने वाले हो. (८)
EN English Translation
O leader, lord of unlimited wealth, without death, water-raining, famous for the truth, meritorious and young Maruto! You are the subject of many praises and the one who is going to rain more. (8)
