हे मित्र एवं वरुण! तुम्हारा महत्त्व इसलिए प्रसिद्ध है कि उसके द्वारा सदा घूमने वाले सूर्य ने वर्षा ऋतु के स्थावर जलों को दुहा था. तुम गतिशील सूर्य की सभी किरणों को चमकीला बनाते हो. तुम्हारा अकेला रथ धीरेधीरे चले. (२)

Oh my friend and Varun! Your importance is famous because the sun, which is always rotating by it, had milked the standing waters of the rainy season. You make all the rays of the moving sun bright. Your lone chariot moves slowly. (2)
