म॒हाँ इन्द्रो॑ नृ॒वदा च॑र्षणि॒प्रा उ॒त द्वि॒बर्हा॑ अमि॒नः सहो॑भिः । अ॒स्म॒द्र्य॑ग्वावृधे वी॒र्या॑यो॒रुः पृ॒थुः सुकृ॑तः क॒र्तृभि॑र्भूत् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जैसे राजा मनुष्यों की कामना पूर्ण करता है, उसी प्रकार स्तोताओं की इच्छा पूरी करने वाले इंद्र आवें. दोनों लोकों में पराक्रम दिखाने वाले एवं शत्रुसेनाओं द्वारा अपराजित इंद्र हमारे सामने वीरता के कार्यो के लिए बढ़ते हैं. विस्तृत शरीर एवं गुणों वाले इंद्र को यजमान भली प्रकार जानते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Just as the king fulfills the desire of men, so come Indra, who fulfills the will of the stoetas. Indra, who is shown valour in both the realms and undefeated by the enemy forces, rises before us for acts of bravery. Indra, who has a wide body and qualities, is well known to the host. (1)
इन्द्र॑मे॒व धि॒षणा॑ सा॒तये॑ धाद्बृ॒हन्त॑मृ॒ष्वम॒जरं॒ युवा॑नम् । अषा॑ळ्हेन॒ शव॑सा शूशु॒वांसं॑ स॒द्यश्चि॒द्यो वा॑वृ॒धे असा॑मि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारी स्तुति दान के निमित्त महान्, गमनशील, युवा एवं शत्रुओं द्वारा अपराजित बल से उन्नत इंद्र को प्राप्त होती है. इंद्र उत्पन्न होते ही अधिक मात्रा में बढ़ गए थे. (२)
EN English Translation
Our praise is received by the great, the moving, the young and the advanced Indra by the undefeated force of the enemies for the sake of charity. Indra had increased in greater quantity as soon as he was born. (2)
पृ॒थू क॒रस्ना॑ बहु॒ला गभ॑स्ती अस्म॒द्र्य१॒॑क्सं मि॑मीहि॒ श्रवां॑सि । यू॒थेव॑ प॒श्वः प॑शु॒पा दमू॑ना अ॒स्माँ इ॑न्द्रा॒भ्या व॑वृत्स्वा॒जौ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शांत मन वाले इंद्र! तुम अन्न देने के लिए अपने विस्तीर्ण, कार्यकुशल एवं अधिक देने वाले हाथों को हमारे सामने करो. जिस प्रकार ग्वाला पशुओं के समूह को हांकता है, उसी प्रकार तुम युद्ध में हमारा संचालन करो. (३)
EN English Translation
O you have a calm mind Indra! Make your wide, efficient, and more giving hands in front of us to give us food. Just as the gwala moves a group of animals, so do you steer us in war. (3)
तं व॒ इन्द्रं॑ च॒तिन॑मस्य शा॒कैरि॒ह नू॒नं वा॑ज॒यन्तो॑ हुवेम । यथा॑ चि॒त्पूर्वे॑ जरि॒तार॑ आ॒सुरने॑द्या अनव॒द्या अरि॑ष्टाः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अन्न के अभिलाषी हम स्तोता इस यज्ञ में मरुतों सहित शत्रुनाशक एवं प्रसिद्ध इंद्र को बुलाते हैं. हे इंद्र! प्राचीन स्तोता जिस प्रकार निंदा, पाप एवं हिंसारहित उत्पन्न हुए थे, उसी प्रकार हम भी हों. (४)
EN English Translation
We stotas, who desire food, call the enemy-destroyer and the famous Indra along with the maruts in this yajna. O Indra! Just as the ancient hymns were born without condemnation, sin and violence, so too are we. (4)
धृ॒तव्र॑तो धन॒दाः सोम॑वृद्धः॒ स हि वा॒मस्य॒ वसु॑नः पुरु॒क्षुः । सं ज॑ग्मिरे प॒थ्या॒३॒॑ रायो॑ अस्मिन्समु॒द्रे न सिन्ध॑वो॒ याद॑मानाः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र यज्ञकर्मधारक, धन देने वाले, सोमरस द्वारा उन्नत, अभिलषित धन के स्वामी एवं अधिक अन्न वाले हैं. स्तोताओं का हित करने वाले धन उसी प्रकार इंद्र के समीप जाते हैं, जिस प्रकार बहती हुई नदियां सागर में मिलती हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Indra is a yajnakarmadhar, a giver of wealth, advanced by somras, the lord of the desired wealth and the one with more food. The money that benefits the stoetas goes near Indra in the same way that the flowing rivers meet in the sea. (5)
शवि॑ष्ठं न॒ आ भ॑र शूर॒ शव॒ ओजि॑ष्ठ॒मोजो॑ अभिभूत उ॒ग्रम् । विश्वा॑ द्यु॒म्ना वृष्ण्या॒ मानु॑षाणाम॒स्मभ्यं॑ दा हरिवो माद॒यध्यै॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शूर इंद्र! हमें सर्वश्रेष्ठ बल दो. हे शत्रु पराजयकारी इंद्र! हमें असह्य एवं उत्तम ओज दो. हे हरि नामक अश्वों के स्वामी! हमें प्रसन्न करने के लिए मानवकामनाओं के पूरक सभी धन दो. (६)
EN English Translation
O Shur Indra! Give us the best force. O enemy defeating Indra! Give us the unbearable and the best ooz. O lord of the horses called Hari! Give us all the riches to complement the human desires to please. (6)
यस्ते॒ मदः॑ पृतना॒षाळमृ॑ध्र॒ इन्द्र॒ तं न॒ आ भ॑र शूशु॒वांस॑म् । येन॑ तो॒कस्य॒ तन॑यस्य सा॒तौ मं॑सी॒महि॑ जिगी॒वांस॒स्त्वोताः॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा जो उत्साह शत्रु-सेनाओं को नष्ट करने वाला एवं अपराजित है, उस बढ़े हुए उत्साह को हमें दो. हम तुम्हारे द्वारा रक्षित होकर उसी उत्साह के कारण पुत्र एवं पौत्र के लाभ के लिए तुम्हारी स्तुति करेंगे. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Give us the increased enthusiasm that your zeal that destroys and undefeated enemy armies. We will be protected by you and will praise you for the benefit of the Son and grandson because of the same zeal. (7)
आ नो॑ भर॒ वृष॑णं॒ शुष्म॑मिन्द्र धन॒स्पृतं॑ शूशु॒वांसं॑ सु॒दक्ष॑म् । येन॒ वंसा॑म॒ पृत॑नासु॒ शत्रू॒न्तवो॒तिभि॑रु॒त जा॒मीँरजा॑मीन् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमें अभिलाषापूरक, धनपालक, उन्नत एवं परमदक्ष सैन्यशक्ति प्रदान करो. तुम्हारी रक्षाओं के कारण हम उस सैन्यशक्ति द्वारा बंधुओं एवं शत्रुओं का नाश करें. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Give us the willful, the rich, the rich, the advanced and the ultimate military power. Because of your defenses, let us destroy the brothers and enemies by that military force. (8)
आ ते॒ शुष्मो॑ वृष॒भ ए॑तु प॒श्चादोत्त॒राद॑ध॒रादा पु॒रस्ता॑त् । आ वि॒श्वतो॑ अ॒भि समे॑त्व॒र्वाङिन्द्र॑ द्यु॒म्नं स्व॑र्वद्धेह्य॒स्मे ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा कामवर्षी बल पश्चिम, उत्तर, दक्षिण एवं पूर्व दिशा से हमारे सामने आवे, वह बल सभी ओर से हमारे समीप आवे. तुम हमें सभी सुखों से युक्त धन दो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Let your work force come before us from the west, north, south and east, let that force come close to us from all sides. You give us wealth containing all the pleasures. (9)
नृ॒वत्त॑ इन्द्र॒ नृत॑माभिरू॒ती वं॑सी॒महि॑ वा॒मं श्रोम॑तेभिः । ईक्षे॒ हि वस्व॑ उ॒भय॑स्य राज॒न्धा रत्नं॒ महि॑ स्थू॒रं बृ॒हन्त॑म् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम तुम्हारी उत्तम रक्षाओं द्वारा सेवकों एवं यशों से युक्त धन का उपभोग करें. हे राजन्! तुम दिव्य एवं पार्थिव धन के स्वामी हो. इसलिए हमें महान्, विपुल एवं गुणयुक्त धन दो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Let us consume wealth with servants and successes through your best defenses. Oh, King! You are the master of divine and earthly wealth. So give us great, abundant and rich riches. (10)
म॒रुत्व॑न्तं वृष॒भं वा॑वृधा॒नमक॑वारिं दि॒व्यं शा॒समिन्द्र॑म् । वि॒श्वा॒साह॒मव॑से॒ नूत॑नायो॒ग्रं स॑हो॒दामि॒ह तं हु॑वेम ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम नवीन रक्षा प्राप्त करने के लिए इस यज्ञ में मरुतों सहित, कामवर्षी उन्नत, शत्रुओं द्वारा अपमानरहित, तेजस्वी, शासक, सबको पराजित करने वाले उग्र एवं बलप्रद इंद्र को बुलाते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
We call in this yajna, including the Maruts, the karyarshi upgraded, unsavoury by enemies, the brilliant, the ruler, the fierce and mighty Indra, who defeated all, in this yajna to get new protection. (11)
जनं॑ वज्रि॒न्महि॑ चि॒न्मन्य॑मानमे॒भ्यो नृभ्यो॑ रन्धया॒ येष्वस्मि॑ । अधा॒ हि त्वा॑ पृथि॒व्यां शूर॑सातौ॒ हवा॑महे॒ तन॑ये॒ गोष्व॒प्सु ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! हम जिन लोगों में रहते हैं, उनकी अपेक्षा स्वयं को बड़ा समझने वाले व्यक्ति को तुम वश में करो. हम इस समय युद्ध में पुत्रों, गायों, एवं जल को पाने के लिए तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
O thunderbolt Indra! You must subdue the person who considers yourself to be greater than the people we live in. We call you at this time to get sons, cows, and water in battle. (12)
व॒यं त॑ ए॒भिः पु॑रुहूत स॒ख्यैः शत्रोः॑शत्रो॒रुत्त॑र॒ इत्स्या॑म । घ्नन्तो॑ वृ॒त्राण्यु॒भया॑नि शूर रा॒या म॑देम बृह॒ता त्वोताः॑ ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए हुए इंद्र! हम मित्रता के परिचायक इन स्तुति वचनों द्वारा तुम्हारी सहायता से अपने सभी शत्रुओं को मारते हुए उनसे श्रेष्ठ बनें. हे शूर इंद्र! हम तुम्हारे द्वारा रक्षित होकर महान् धन से प्रसन्न हों. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Indra, called by many! Let us be the best of them by killing all our enemies with your help through these words of praise, which are the symbols of friendship. O Shur Indra! May we be protected by you and be pleased with the great wealth. (13)
