उ॒ग्रो ज॑ज्ञे वी॒र्या॑य स्व॒धावा॒ञ्चक्रि॒रपो॒ नर्यो॒ यत्क॑रि॒ष्यन् । जग्मि॒र्युवा॑ नृ॒षद॑न॒मवो॑भिस्त्रा॒ता न॒ इन्द्र॒ एन॑सो म॒हश्चि॑त् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शक्तिशाली एवं ओजस्वी इंद्र अपना वीर्य प्रकाशित करने के लिए उत्पन्न हुए हैं. मानवहितकारी इंद्र जो कर्म करना चाहते हैं, वह अवश्य करते हैं. रक्षासाधनों के साथ यज्ञभवन में जाने वाले इंद्र हमें महान् पाप से बचावें. (१)
EN English Translation
The mighty and energetic Indra has been born to publish his semen. The human-benevolent Indra must do what he wants to do. May Indra, who goes to the yagnabhavan with the means of protection, save us from the great sin. (1)
हन्ता॑ वृ॒त्रमिन्द्रः॒ शूशु॑वानः॒ प्रावी॒न्नु वी॒रो ज॑रि॒तार॑मू॒ती । कर्ता॑ सु॒दासे॒ अह॒ वा उ॑ लो॒कं दाता॒ वसु॒ मुहु॒रा दा॒शुषे॑ भूत् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वर्धमान होकर वृत्र का वध करने वाले वीर इंद्र स्तोता को अपने रक्षा साधनों से सुरक्षित करते हैं. वे सुदास के लिए जनपद का निर्माण करने वाले एवं यजमान को धन देने वाले हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The hero who kills Vrithra by being a bridegroom secures Indra Stota with his protective means. They are going to build the district for Sudas and give money to the host. (2)
यु॒ध्मो अ॑न॒र्वा ख॑ज॒कृत्स॒मद्वा॒ शूरः॑ सत्रा॒षाड्ज॒नुषे॒मषा॑ळ्हः । व्या॑स॒ इन्द्रः॒ पृत॑नाः॒ स्वोजा॒ अधा॒ विश्वं॑ शत्रू॒यन्तं॑ जघान ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
योद्धा, शत्रुरहित, युद्ध करने वाले, झगड़ालू, शूर, अनेक जनों को पराजित करने वाले, स्वभाव से ही अपराजित एवं उत्तम शक्ति वाले इंद्र शत्रुसेना के मार्ग में बाधा डालते हैं एवं श्रुता करने वाले का वध करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Warriors, enemiesless, war-doers, quarrels, knights, defeaters of many people, indra, undefeated by nature and has the best power, hinders the path of the enemy army and kills the one who curses. (3)
उ॒भे चि॑दिन्द्र॒ रोद॑सी महि॒त्वा प॑प्राथ॒ तवि॑षीभिस्तुविष्मः । नि वज्र॒मिन्द्रो॒ हरि॑वा॒न्मिमि॑क्ष॒न्समन्ध॑सा॒ मदे॑षु॒ वा उ॑वोच ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अधिक संपत्तिशाली इंद्र! तुमने अपने महत्त्व और शक्ति से द्यावा-पृथिवी दोनों को पूर्ण किया. हरि नामक अश्वों के स्वामी इंद्र शत्रुओं पर वज्ज फेंकते हुए यज्ञों में सोमरस द्वारा सेवित होते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O more wealthy Indra! You have fulfilled both the diva-prithvivi with your importance and power. Indra, the lord of the horses called Hari, is served by the Somras in the yagnas while throwing a vajja at the enemies. (4)
वृषा॑ जजान॒ वृष॑णं॒ रणा॑य॒ तमु॑ चि॒न्नारी॒ नर्यं॑ ससूव । प्र यः से॑ना॒नीरध॒ नृभ्यो॒ अस्ती॒नः सत्वा॑ ग॒वेष॑णः॒ स धृ॒ष्णुः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पिता कश्यप ने अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र को युद्ध के निमित्त उत्पन्न किया है. नारी ने भी मानवहितेषी इंद्र को जन्म दिया है. इंद्र मानवों के सेनापति, स्वामी सारे संसार के ईश्वर, शत्रुहंता, गायों की खोज करने वाले एवं शत्रुओं को हराने वाले हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Father Kashyapa has created the desire-filled Indra for the sake of war. The woman has also given birth to the human-hearted Indra. Indra is the commander of the human beings, the lord is the God of the whole world, the enemy, the seeker of cows and the one who defeats the enemies. (5)
नू चि॒त्स भ्रे॑षते॒ जनो॒ न रे॑ष॒न्मनो॒ यो अ॑स्य घो॒रमा॒विवा॑सात् । य॒ज्ञैर्य इन्द्रे॒ दध॑ते॒ दुवां॑सि॒ क्षय॒त्स रा॒य ऋ॑त॒पा ऋ॑ते॒जाः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो व्यक्ति यज्ञों द्वारा इंद्र के शत्रुबाधक मन की सेवा करता है, वह न कभी स्थान से भरष्ट होता है और न नष्ट होता है. जो व्यक्ति इंद्र के प्रति यज्ञों के द्वारा स्तुतियां पहुंचाता है, उसे यज्ञ के पालक एवं यज्ञ में उत्पन्न इंद्र धन दें. (६)
EN English Translation
The person who serves indra's hostile mind through yajnas is never filled with place or destroyed. The person who delivers praises to Indra through yajnas, give him the guardian of the yajna and the Indra money produced in the yajna. (6)
यदि॑न्द्र॒ पूर्वो॒ अप॑राय॒ शिक्ष॒न्नय॒ज्ज्याया॒न्कनी॑यसो दे॒ष्णम् । अ॒मृत॒ इत्पर्या॑सीत दू॒रमा चि॑त्र॒ चित्र्यं॑ भरा र॒यिं नः॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे आकर्षक इंद्र! पहली पीढ़ी जो धन बाद वाली पीढ़ी को देती है, जो धन बड़ा छोटे से पाता है और जो धन पिता से प्राप्त करके पुत्र मरणरहित के समान घर से परदेश जाता है, ये तीनों प्रकार के आकर्षक धन हमें दो. (७)
EN English Translation
O charming Indra! The first generation which gives money to the next generation, the money which comes from the big small and the money which is received from the father and goes abroad from the house like the son dying, give us these three kinds of attractive wealth. (7)
यस्त॑ इन्द्र प्रि॒यो जनो॒ ददा॑श॒दस॑न्निरे॒के अ॑द्रिवः॒ सखा॑ ते । व॒यं ते॑ अ॒स्यां सु॑म॒तौ चनि॑ष्ठाः॒ स्याम॒ वरू॑थे॒ अघ्न॑तो॒ नृपी॑तौ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! जो प्रिय सखा तुम्हें हव्य देता है, वह तुम्हारे दान का पात्र रहे. हम हिंसारहित होकर तुम्हारी कृपादृष्टि के कारण अधिक अन्न वाले बनें एवं मानवरक्षक घर में निवास करें. (८)
EN English Translation
O thunderbolt Indra! May the beloved friend who gives you the gift deserve your charity. Let us be free from violence and be more grained because of your kindness and let the human guard dwell in the house. (8)
ए॒ष स्तोमो॑ अचिक्रद॒द्वृषा॑ त उ॒त स्ता॒मुर्म॑घवन्नक्रपिष्ट । रा॒यस्कामो॑ जरि॒तारं॑ त॒ आग॒न्त्वम॒ङ्ग श॑क्र॒ वस्व॒ आ श॑को नः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनशाली इंद्र! यह टपकता हुआ सोमरस तुम्हारे लिए क्रंदन कर रहा है. स्तोता तुम्हारी स्तुतियां कर रहे हैं. हे शक्र! तुम्हारे स्तोताओं को धन की अभिलाषा हुई है. तुम उन्हें शीघ्र धन दो. (९)
EN English Translation
O rich Indra! This dripping somras is groaning for you. The stotas are praising you. Oh, Shakr! Your stoes have a desire for wealth. You give them quick money. (9)
स न॑ इन्द्र॒ त्वय॑ताया इ॒षे धा॒स्त्मना॑ च॒ ये म॒घवा॑नो जु॒नन्ति॑ । वस्वी॒ षु ते॑ जरि॒त्रे अ॑स्तु श॒क्तिर्यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! अपने दिए हुए अन्न का उपभोग करने के लिए हमारी रक्षा करो. जो अपने आप तुम्हें हव्य देते हैं, उनकी भी रक्षा करो. तुम्हारे स्तोताओं में तुम्हारी प्रशंसनीय स्तुतियां करने की शक्ति हो. तुम कल्याणसाधनों से सदा हमारी रक्षा करो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Protect us to consume your given food. Those who give themselves a say to you, protect them also. May your stoes have the power to praise you admirable. You always protect us from welfare means. (10)
