यदि॑न्द्रा॒हं यथा॒ त्वमीशी॑य॒ वस्व॒ एक॒ इत् । स्तो॒ता मे॒ गोष॑खा स्यात् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जिस प्रकार तुम एकमात्र धनस्वामी हो, उसी प्रकार यदि मैं भी ऐश्वर्य वाला बन जाऊं तो मेरा स्तोता भी गाय वाला बन जाएगा. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as you are the only rich owner, so if I too become a man of glory, my hymn will also become a cow.' (1)
शिक्षे॑यमस्मै॒ दित्से॑यं॒ शची॑पते मनी॒षिणे॑ । यद॒हं गोप॑तिः॒ स्याम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शक्तिशाली इंद्र! यदि तुम्हारी कृपा से मैं गायों का स्वामी बन जाउं तो इस स्तोता को देने की इच्छा करूंगा एवं इसके द्वारा मांगी हुई संपत्ति दूंगा. (२)
EN English Translation
O mighty Indra! If by your grace I become the master of the cows, I will wish to give this hymn and give the property demanded by it. (2)
धे॒नुष्ट॑ इन्द्र सू॒नृता॒ यज॑मानाय सुन्व॒ते । गामश्वं॑ पि॒प्युषी॑ दुहे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारी सच्ची एवं उन्नति करने वाली स्तुति दुधारू गाय बनकर सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले यजमान को गाएं और घोड़े देती है. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your true and progressive praise becomes a milch cow and gives a horse to the host who squeezes the Somras. (3)
न ते॑ व॒र्तास्ति॒ राध॑स॒ इन्द्र॑ दे॒वो न मर्त्यः॑ । यद्दित्स॑सि स्तु॒तो म॒घम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम स्तुति सुनकर स्तोताओं को जो धन देना चाहते हो, उसे रोकने वाला न कोई देवता है एवं न मनुष्य. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! There is no god or man to stop the wealth you want to give to the psalms when you hear praise. (4)
य॒ज्ञ इन्द्र॑मवर्धय॒द्यद्भूमिं॒ व्यव॑र्तयत् । च॒क्रा॒ण ओ॑प॒शं दि॒वि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञ ने इंद्र को बढ़ाया था, क्योंकि इंद्र ने झुलोक में जाकर मेघ को सुलाते हुए धरती को स्थिर किया था. (५)
EN English Translation
The yajna had enlarged Indra, because Indra went to the jhuloka and stabilized the earth by sleeping the cloud. (5)
वा॒वृ॒धा॒नस्य॑ ते व॒यं विश्वा॒ धना॑नि जि॒ग्युषः॑ । ऊ॒तिमि॒न्द्रा वृ॑णीमहे ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वर्धमान एवं शत्रुओं के सभी धन जीतने वाले इंद्र! हम तुम्हारी रक्षा को प्राप्त करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra, who has won all the riches of the elders and enemies! We get your protection. (6)
व्य१॒॑न्तरि॑क्षमतिर॒न्मदे॒ सोम॑स्य रोच॒ना । इन्द्रो॒ यदभि॑नद्व॒लम् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने सोमरस के नशे में तेजस्वी अंतरिक्ष को बढ़ाया है एवं शक्तिशाली मेघ का नाश किया है. (७)
EN English Translation
Indra, under the intoxication of Somras, has extended the stunning space and destroyed the mighty cloud. (7)
उद्गा आ॑ज॒दङ्गि॑रोभ्य आ॒विष्कृ॒ण्वन्गुहा॑ स॒तीः । अ॒र्वाञ्चं॑ नुनुदे व॒लम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने गुहा में छिपी हुई गायों को बाहर निकालकर अंगिरागोत्रीय ऋषियों को दिया था एवं गायों को चुराने वाले बल को औंधा कर दिया था. (८)
EN English Translation
Indra had taken out the cows hidden in the cavity and gave them to the Angiragotrian sages and turned the force that stole the cows. (8)
इन्द्रे॑ण रोच॒ना दि॒वो दृ॒ळ्हानि॑ दृंहि॒तानि॑ च । स्थि॒राणि॒ न प॑रा॒णुदे॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने दीप्तिशाली नक्षत्रों को शक्तिशाली एवं दृढ़ किया था. उन स्थिर नक्षत्रों को कोई नीचे नहीं गिरा सकता. (९)
EN English Translation
Indra had made the bright constellations powerful and strong. No one can bring down those stable constellations. (9)
अ॒पामू॒र्मिर्मद॑न्निव॒ स्तोम॑ इन्द्राजिरायते । वि ते॒ मदा॑ अराजिषुः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! एक-दूसरे के ऊपर चलने वाली सागर की तरंगों के समान तुम्हारी स्तुतियां शीघ्रता से गति करती हैं. तुम्हारे मद विशेष रूप से दीप्तिशाली बनते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your praises move quickly like the waves of the ocean that run over each other. Your items become especially radiant. (10)
त्वं हि स्तो॑म॒वर्ध॑न॒ इन्द्रास्यु॑क्थ॒वर्ध॑नः । स्तो॒तॄ॒णामु॒त भ॑द्र॒कृत् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम स्तुतियों एवं उकथों द्वारा बढ़ने वाले हो एवं स्तोताओं का कल्याण करते हो. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are going to grow through praises and hymns and do the welfare of the psalms. (11)
इन्द्र॒मित्के॒शिना॒ हरी॑ सोम॒पेया॑य वक्षतः । उप॑ य॒ज्ञं सु॒राध॑सम् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
केश धारण करने वाले दो घोड़े शोभनधन वाले इंद्र को यज्ञ के समीप ले जाते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Two horses holding hair take Indra, who is in the hair, close to the yagna. (12)
अ॒पां फेने॑न॒ नमु॑चेः॒ शिर॑ इ॒न्द्रोद॑वर्तयः । विश्वा॒ यदज॑यः॒ स्पृधः॑ ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जब तुमने विरोध करने वाली सभी असुर-सेनाओं को हराया था, उसी समय वज्र पर जलों का फेन लपेटकर तुमने नमुचि का सिर काटा था. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! When you defeated all the opposing asuras, at the same time you cut off Namuchi's head by wrapping a foam of water on the vajra. (13)
मा॒याभि॑रु॒त्सिसृ॑प्सत॒ इन्द्र॒ द्यामा॒रुरु॑क्षतः । अव॒ दस्यू॑ँरधूनुथाः ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुमने मायाओं के द्वारा विस्तार पाने के इच्छुक एवं स्वर्ग पर चढ़ने के अभिलाषी शरु राक्षसों को औंधा कर दिया था. (१४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You had turned the demons inverted by the Maya who were willing to expand and aspire to climb to heaven. (14)
अ॒सु॒न्वामि॑न्द्र सं॒सदं॒ विषू॑चीं॒ व्य॑नाशयः । सो॒म॒पा उत्त॑रो॒ भव॑न् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोमपानकर्ता इंद्र! तुमने अत्यंत उत्कृष्ट होकर सोमरस न निचोड़ने वाले लोगों को परस्पर विरोध द्वारा निर्बल बनाकर समाप्त किया. (१५)
EN English Translation
O Sompanaker Indra! You have excelled and ended the people who do not squeeze the Somras by making them weak by mutual opposition. (15)
