प्र स॒म्राजं॑ चर्षणी॒नामिन्द्रं॑ स्तोता॒ नव्यं॑ गी॒र्भिः । नरं॑ नृ॒षाहं॒ मंहि॑ष्ठम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! स्तुतियों द्वारा प्रशंसनीय, नेता, शत्रु पराजयकारी, सर्वाधिक दाता एवं मानव सम्राट् इंद्र की स्तुति करो. (१)
EN English Translation
This stotao! Praise the praiseworthy, the leader, the enemy defeater, the most giver and the human emperor Indra by praise. (1)
यस्मि॑न्नु॒क्थानि॒ रण्य॑न्ति॒ विश्वा॑नि च श्रव॒स्या॑ । अ॒पामवो॒ न स॑मु॒द्रे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के प्रति उक्थ एवं सभी प्रशंसनीय हव्यान्न उसी प्रकार शोभा पाते हैं, जिस प्रकार जल की तरंगें सागर में सुशोभित होती हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The hakth and all the admirable averaging towards Indra are adorned in the same way that the waves of water adorn the ocean. (2)
तं सु॑ष्टु॒त्या वि॑वासे ज्येष्ठ॒राजं॒ भरे॑ कृ॒त्नुम् । म॒हो वा॒जिनं॑ स॒निभ्यः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं धन पाने के लिए प्रशंसनीयों में दीप्तिशाली, संग्रामों में महान्, विक्रम प्रदर्शित करने वाले व शक्तिशाली इंद्र की शोभन स्तुतियों द्वारा सेवा करता हूं. (३)
EN English Translation
I serve with the glorious of the admirers, the great in the sangrams, the one who exhibits Vikram and the adornment praises of the mighty Indra to gain wealth. (3)
यस्यानू॑ना गभी॒रा मदा॑ उ॒रव॒स्तरु॑त्राः । ह॒र्षु॒मन्तः॒ शूर॑सातौ ॥ (४)

इंद्र का सोमपान का नशा पर्याप्त, गंभीर, विस्तीर्ण, शत्रुनाशक एवं युद्ध में प्रसन्नता देने वाला है. (४)
EN English Translation
Indra's sompan intoxication is sufficient, serious, widespread, anti-hostile and pleasing in war. (4)
तमिद्धने॑षु हि॒तेष्व॑धिवा॒काय॑ हवन्ते । येषा॒मिन्द्र॒स्ते ज॑यन्ति ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्तोता लोग शत्रुओं का धन देखकर पक्षपात प्राप्त करने के लिए इंद्र को बुलाते हैं. इंद्र जिनका पक्षपात करते हैं, वे विजयी होते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
The Stotas call Indra to get partiality by seeing the wealth of the enemies. Those whom Indra is biased are victorious. (5)
तमिच्च्यौ॒त्नैरार्य॑न्ति॒ तं कृ॒तेभि॑श्चर्ष॒णयः॑ । ए॒ष इन्द्रो॑ वरिव॒स्कृत् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मनुष्य शक्तिशाली स्तोत्रों एवं यज्ञकर्मो द्वारा उन्हीं इंद्र को स्वामी बनाते हैं. इंद्र ही स्तोताओं को धन देने वाले हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Human beings make the same Indra masters through powerful hymns and yagnakarmas. Indra is the one who gives money to the stoetas. (6)
इन्द्रो॑ ब्र॒ह्मेन्द्र॒ ऋषि॒रिन्द्रः॑ पु॒रू पु॑रुहू॒तः । म॒हान्म॒हीभिः॒ शची॑भिः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र सर्वाधिक महान्, ऋषि, अनेक द्वारा कई बार बुलाए हुए एवं वृत्र वधादि महान् कार्यो के कारण महान् हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Indra is the greatest, the sage, called many times by many and the vrittar vadhadi is great because of his great deeds. (7)
स स्तोम्यः॒ स हव्यः॑ स॒त्यः सत्वा॑ तुविकू॒र्मिः । एक॑श्चि॒त्सन्न॒भिभू॑तिः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र स्तुति करने योग्य, बुलाने योग्य, सत्यस्वभाव, शत्रुनाशक, अनेक कर्म करने वाले एवं अकेले होने पर भी शत्रुपराजयकारी हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
Indra is worthy of praise, worthy of calling, truthfulness, anti-enemy, doing many deeds and even when alone, he is an enemy. (8)
तम॒र्केभि॒स्तं साम॑भि॒स्तं गा॑य॒त्रैश्च॑र्ष॒णयः॑ । इन्द्रं॑ वर्धन्ति क्षि॒तयः॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मंत्रद्रष्टा लोग एवं साधारण जन उन इंद्र को यजुर्वेद के पूजोपयोगी मंत्रों, सामवेद के गाने योग्य मंत्रों एवं गायत्री छंद में लिखित स्तुतियों द्वारा बढ़ाते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
The mantradarstha people and the common man extend those Indras by the revered mantras of the Yajurveda, the singable mantras of the Samaveda and the hymns written in the Gayatri verses. (9)
प्र॒णे॒तारं॒ वस्यो॒ अच्छा॒ कर्ता॑रं॒ ज्योतिः॑ स॒मत्सु॑ । सा॒स॒ह्वांसं॑ यु॒धामित्रा॑न् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र अभिमुख होकर प्रशंसनीय धन देने वाले, युद्धों में जयरूपी प्रकाश करने वाले एवं युद्ध के द्वारा शत्रुओं को हराने वाले हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
Indra is the one who gives praiseworthy money, who gives glory in wars, who gives glory in wars, and defeats enemies through war. (10)
स नः॒ पप्रिः॑ पारयाति स्व॒स्ति ना॒वा पु॑रुहू॒तः । इन्द्रो॒ विश्वा॒ अति॒ द्विषः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पूर्ण करने वाले एवं बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए इंद्र हमें नाव के द्वारा सभी शत्रुओं से कुशलपूर्वक पार करें. (११)
EN English Translation
May Indra, the completeer and called by many, cross us skillfully from all the enemies by boat. (11)
स त्वं न॑ इन्द्र॒ वाजे॑भिर्दश॒स्या च॑ गातु॒या च॑ । अच्छा॑ च नः सु॒म्नं ने॑षि ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम अपनी शक्ति द्वारा हमें धन एवं मार्ग प्रदान करो. तुम सुख को हमारे सामने लाओ. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You give us wealth and way by your power. You bring happiness before us. (12)
