तं गू॑र्धया॒ स्व॑र्णरं दे॒वासो॑ दे॒वम॑र॒तिं द॑धन्विरे । दे॒व॒त्रा ह॒व्यमोहि॑रे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! सबके नेता प्रसिद्ध अग्नि की स्तुति करो. ऋत्विज् सबके स्वामी अग्नि देव के समीप जाते हैं एवं देवों को हव्य देते हैं. (१)

This stotao! Praise the famous agni leader of all. The lord of all the ritwijs goes to the agni god and gives a greeting to the gods. (1)
विभू॑तरातिं विप्र चि॒त्रशो॑चिषम॒ग्निमी॑ळिष्व य॒न्तुर॑म् । अ॒स्य मेध॑स्य सो॒म्यस्य॑ सोभरे॒ प्रेम॑ध्व॒राय॒ पूर्व्य॑म् ॥ (२)

हे मेधावी सौभरि! अधिक देने वाले, विचित्र-दीप्तिसंपन्न इस सोमसाध्य यज्ञ के नियंता एवं पुरातन अग्नि की स्तुति यज्ञपूर्ति के लिए करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O bright hundred! Praise the ancient agni and the controller of this more-giving, strange-glowing somasadhya yajna for the fulfillment of the yajna. (2)
यजि॑ष्ठं त्वा ववृमहे दे॒वं दे॑व॒त्रा होता॑र॒मम॑र्त्यम् । अ॒स्य य॒ज्ञस्य॑ सु॒क्रतु॑म् ॥ (३)

हे अतिशय-यज्ञपात्र, देवों में सर्वोत्तम देवों को बुलाने वाले, मरणरहित एवं इस यज्ञ के शोभनकर्तता अग्नि! हम तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O atishya-yajnapatra, who calls the best gods among the gods, without death and the beauty of this yajna agni! We call you. (3)
ऊ॒र्जो नपा॑तं सु॒भगं॑ सु॒दीदि॑तिम॒ग्निं श्रेष्ठ॑शोचिषम् । स नो॑ मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ सो अ॒पामा सु॒म्नं य॑क्षते दि॒वि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अन्न का पालन करने वाले शोभन धनयुक्त, उत्तम दीप्तिसंपन्न एवं श्रेष्ठ प्रकाश वाले अग्नि की मैं स्तुति करता हूं. वे हमारे लिए द्युलोक में मित्र एवं वरुण के सुख का विचार करके तथा जल देवता के सुख के लिए यज्ञ करें. (४)
EN English Translation
I admire the agni that follows food, rich, with the best of bright and the best light. They should perform yajna for us in Douloka thinking of the happiness of friend and Varuna and for the happiness of the water god. (4)
यः स॒मिधा॒ य आहु॑ती॒ यो वेदे॑न द॒दाश॒ मर्तो॑ अ॒ग्नये॑ । यो नम॑सा स्वध्व॒रः ॥ (५)

जो मनुष्य समिधा द्वारा, आहुतियों द्वारा, वेदाध्ययन द्वारा एवं सुंदर यज्ञ करते समय नमस्कार द्वारा अग्नि की सेवा करता है. (५)
EN English Translation
A man who serves agni by samidha, by ahutis, by vedadhyayana and by salutation salutation while performing beautiful yajna. (5)
तस्येदर्व॑न्तो रंहयन्त आ॒शव॒स्तस्य॑ द्यु॒म्नित॑मं॒ यशः॑ । न तमंहो॑ दे॒वकृ॑तं॒ कुत॑श्च॒न न मर्त्य॑कृतं नशत् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उसी के व्यापक अश्च वेगपूर्वक चलते हैं, उसी का यश सबसे अधिक दीप्त होता है और उसे वेदकृत या मनुष्यकृत कोई भी पाप नहीं लगता. (६)
EN English Translation
His broad wonders move swiftly, his glory is the most luminous, and he does not find any sin sin, either vedic or man-made. (6)
स्व॒ग्नयो॑ वो अ॒ग्निभिः॒ स्याम॑ सूनो सहस ऊर्जां पते । सु॒वीर॒स्त्वम॑स्म॒युः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बल के पुत्र एवं हव्य अन्नों के स्वामी अग्नि! हम तुम्हारे गार्हपत्यादि रूपों द्वारा शोभन अग्नि वाले बनेंगे. तुम शोभन वीरों वाले बनकर हमारी रक्षा करो. (७)
EN English Translation
O son of strength and lord of the food grains of the good, Agni! We will become a agni-walled by your garhapatadi forms. You protect us by becoming the heroes. (7)
प्र॒शंस॑मानो॒ अति॑थि॒र्न मि॒त्रियो॒ऽग्नी रथो॒ न वेद्यः॑ । त्वे क्षेमा॑सो॒ अपि॑ सन्ति सा॒धव॒स्त्वं राजा॑ रयी॒णाम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि प्रशंसा करते हुए अतिथि के समान स्तोताओं के हितैषी एवं रथ के समान इच्छित फल देने वाले हैं. हे अग्नि! तुम में उचित रक्षासाधन हैं एवं तुम धन के स्वामी हो. (८)
EN English Translation
Agni is a benefactor of the guests and give the desired fruits like the chariot, while praising the agni. O agni! You have proper defense money and you are the master of wealth. (8)
सो अ॒द्धा दा॒श्व॑ध्व॒रोऽग्ने॒ मर्तः॑ सुभग॒ स प्र॒शंस्यः॑ । स धी॒भिर॑स्तु॒ सनि॑ता ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन-धन वाले अग्नि! यज्ञ करने वाला मनुष्य सत्यफल से युक्त बने. वह प्रशंसा के योग्य एवं स्तोत्रों द्वारा सेवनीय हो. (९)
EN English Translation
O agni with wealth! The man who performs the yajna becomes full of truth. It is worthy of praise and is consumable by hymns. (9)
यस्य॒ त्वमू॒र्ध्वो अ॑ध्व॒राय॒ तिष्ठ॑सि क्ष॒यद्वी॑रः॒ स सा॑धते । सो अर्व॑द्भिः॒ सनि॑ता॒ स वि॑प॒न्युभिः॒ स शूरैः॒ सनि॑ता कृ॒तम् ॥ (१०)

हे अग्नि! जिस यजमान का यज्ञ पूर्ण करने के लिए तुम ऊर्ध्वगति वाले बनते हो, वह निवासयुक्त वीरों का स्वामी बनकर अपना काम पूरा करता है, अश्वों द्वारा प्राप्त विजय को पाता है एवं शूरों व बुद्धिमानों द्वारा सेवित होता है. (१०)
EN English Translation
O agni! The host whose yajna you become upwelled to complete the yagna, completes his work by becoming the lord of the dwelling heroes, attains the victory achieved by the horses and is served by the knights and the wise. (10)
यस्या॒ग्निर्वपु॑र्गृ॒हे स्तोमं॒ चनो॒ दधी॑त वि॒श्ववा॑र्यः । ह॒व्या वा॒ वेवि॑ष॒द्विषः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस यजमान के घर में सबके द्वारा वरणीय रूप वाले अग्ने स्तोत्र व अन्न स्वीकार करते हैं, उसका हृदय देवों के पास जाता है. (११)
EN English Translation
In the house of the host in which the agnes of the chosen form of all accepts the hymns and food, his heart goes to the gods. (11)
विप्र॑स्य वा स्तुव॒तः स॑हसो यहो म॒क्षूत॑मस्य रा॒तिषु॑ । अ॒वोदे॑वमु॒परि॑मर्त्यं कृधि॒ वसो॑ विवि॒दुषो॒ वचः॑ ॥ (१२)

हे बल से युक्त एवं निवासस्थान देने वाले अग्नि! बुद्धिमान् स्तोता के हव्यदान में यज्ञकर्ता का वचन देवों के नीचे एवं मानवों के ऊपर करो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O agni with force and giving abode! In the salutationof the wise hymn, make the word of the yajnakar under the gods and upon the human beings. (12)
यो अ॒ग्निं ह॒व्यदा॑तिभि॒र्नमो॑भिर्वा सु॒दक्ष॑मा॒विवा॑सति । गि॒रा वा॑जि॒रशो॑चिषम् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो यजमान हव्य देकर एवं नमस्कारों द्वारा शोभन बलयुक्त अग्नि उपासना करता है अथवा स्तुतियों द्वारा गतिशील तेज वाले अग्नि की सेवा करता है वह समृद्धिशाली बनता है. (१३)
EN English Translation
The host who worships a agni with a strong force by giving a greeting and greetings, or who serves the fast-paced agni through praises, becomes prosperous. (13)
स॒मिधा॒ यो निशि॑ती॒ दाश॒ददि॑तिं॒ धाम॑भिरस्य॒ मर्त्यः॑ । विश्वेत्स धी॒भिः सु॒भगो॒ जना॒ँ अति॑ द्यु॒म्नैरु॒द्न इ॑व तारिषत् ॥ (१४)

जो मनुष्य इस अग्नि के आकार से अविभाज्य गार्हपत्यादि की ज्वलनशील समिधाओं के द्वारा सेवा करता है, वह अपने यज्ञक्मो द्वारा शोभन संपत्ति वाला बनकर तेजस्वी यशों द्वारा सब मनुष्यों को इस प्रकार पार कर जाता है जैसे जल सब बाधाएं पार करके आगे बढ़ता है. (१४)
EN English Translation
The man who serves through the inflammable committees of garhtayatadi indivisible by the shape of this agni, by his yajnakamo, becomes a man of adornment, and overcomes all human beings through the glorious glorys as water transcends all obstacles and moves forward. (14)
तद॑ग्ने द्यु॒म्नमा भ॑र॒ यत्सा॒सह॒त्सद॑ने॒ कं चि॑द॒त्रिण॑म् । म॒न्युं जन॑स्य दू॒ढ्यः॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हमें वह धन दो जो घर में वर्तमान राक्षस आदि को पराजित करता है एवं पापबुद्धि मनुष्य के क्रोध को दबाता है. (१५)
EN English Translation
O agni! Give us the money that defeats the present demons etc. in the house and suppresses the wrath of the sinful man. (15)
येन॒ चष्टे॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा येन॒ नास॑त्या॒ भगः॑ । व॒यं तत्ते॒ शव॑सा गातु॒वित्त॑मा॒ इन्द्र॑त्वोता विधेमहि ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि के जिस तेज द्वारा वरुण, मित्र, अर्यमा, अश्विनीकुमार एवं भग सबको प्रकाश देते हैं. शक्ति द्वारा स्तोत्र जानने वालों में श्रेष्ठ हम इंद्र द्वारा सुरक्षित होकर अग्नि के उसी तेज की सेवा करते हैं. (१६)
EN English Translation
The brightness of the agni by which Varuna, Mitra, Aryama, Ashwinikumar and Bhaga give light to everyone. The best of those who know the psalms by shakti, we are protected by Indra and serve the same brightness of agni. (16)
ते घेद॑ग्ने स्वा॒ध्यो॒३॒॑ ये त्वा॑ विप्र निदधि॒रे नृ॒चक्ष॑सम् । विप्रा॑सो देव सु॒क्रतु॑म् ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मेधावी अग्नि देव! तुम मनुष्यों के साक्षी एवं शोभन कर्म वाले हो. जो बुद्धिमान् ऋत्विज् तुम्हें धारण करते हैं, वे शोभन ध्यान वाले बनते हैं. (१७)
EN English Translation
O bright agni god! You are the witnesses of men and the virtuous deeds. The wise ritvis who hold you become the ones with good attention. (17)
त इद्वेदिं॑ सुभग॒ त आहु॑तिं॒ ते सोतुं॑ चक्रिरे दि॒वि । त इद्वाजे॑भिर्जिग्युर्म॒हद्धनं॒ ये त्वे कामं॑ न्येरि॒रे ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभनधन वाले अग्नि! वे ही यजमान तुम्हारे यज्ञ के लिए वेदी बनाते हैं, तुम्हें आहुति देते हैं, दीप्तिशाली दिन में सोमरस निचोड़ते हैं एवं बल द्वारा विशाल संपत्ति जीतते हैं, जो तुम्हारे प्रति अभिलाषा रखते हैं. (१८)
EN English Translation
O agni of adornment! It is they who build an altar for your yajna, offer you a sacrifice, squeeze the somras on a bright day and conquer vast wealth by force, who desire you. (18)
भ॒द्रो नो॑ अ॒ग्निराहु॑तो भ॒द्रा रा॒तिः सु॑भग भ॒द्रो अ॑ध्व॒रः । भ॒द्रा उ॒त प्रश॑स्तयः ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हव्यों द्वारा तृप्त अग्नि हमारे लिए कल्याणकारी हो. हे शोभन धन वाले अग्नि! तुम्हारा दान हमारा कल्याण करने वाला हो. तुम्हारा यज्ञ और तुम्हारी स्तुतियां हमें कल्याण दें. (१९)
EN English Translation
May the agni satiated by the human beings be beneficial to us. O agni with riches! May your charity be good to us. May your sacrifice and your praises be well-being to us. (19)
भ॒द्रं मनः॑ कृणुष्व वृत्र॒तूर्ये॒ येना॑ स॒मत्सु॑ सा॒सहः॑ । अव॑ स्थि॒रा त॑नुहि॒ भूरि॒ शर्ध॑तां व॒नेमा॑ ते अ॒भिष्टि॑भिः ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! संग्राम में हमारे प्रति अपना मन शोभन बनाओ. उस मन के द्वारा तुम युद्धों में शञ्रुओं को पराजित करो. तुम दूसरों को पराजित करने वाले शत्रुओं के महान् बल को नीचा दिखाओ. हम हव्यों और स्तोत्रं द्वारा तुम्हारी सेवा करेंगे. (२०)
EN English Translation
O agni! Make your mind proud of us in the struggle. Through that mind you defeat the shantrus in wars. You let down the great force of the enemies who defeat others. We will serve you through greetings and hymns. (20)
ईळे॑ गि॒रा मनु॑र्हितं॒ यं दे॒वा दू॒तम॑र॒तिं न्ये॑रि॒रे । यजि॑ष्ठं हव्य॒वाह॑नम् ॥ (२१)

प्रजापति मनु द्वारा स्थापित अग्नि की मैं स्तुति करता हूं. सर्वाधिक यज्ञकर्ता, हव्य वहन करने वाले एवं ईश्वर अग्नि को देवों ने दूत बनाकर भेजा. (२१)
EN English Translation
I praise the agni founded by Prajapati Manu. The most sacrificing, the human-bearer and the God agni were sent as messengers by the gods. (21)
ति॒ग्मज॑म्भाय॒ तरु॑णाय॒ राज॑ते॒ प्रयो॑ गायस्य॒ग्नये॑ । यः पिं॒शते॑ सू॒नृता॑भिः सु॒वीर्य॑म॒ग्निर्घृ॒तेभि॒राहु॑तः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोता! तेज ज्वालाओं वाले, नित्य तरुण एवं सुशोभित अग्नि के प्रति हव्य-अन्न से संबंधित गाना गाओ. वे अग्नि शोभन एवं सत्य वचनों की स्तुति सुनकर एवं घृत की आहुति पाकर स्तोता को शोभन वीर्य देते हैं. (२२)
EN English Translation
This is the hymn! Sing a song related to food and food to the bright flames, the eternal youth and the beautified agni. They give the breathless semen to The Satota by listening to the praise of the agni and the words of truth and receiving the sacrifice of the curse. (22)
यदी॑ घृ॒तेभि॒राहु॑तो॒ वाशी॑म॒ग्निर्भर॑त॒ उच्चाव॑ च । असु॑र इव नि॒र्णिज॑म् ॥ (२३)

घृत के द्वारा बुलाए हुए अग्नि जिस समय ऊपर तथा नीचे शब्द करते हैं, उस समय वे शक्तिशाली सूर्य के समान अपना रूप प्रकाशित करते हैं. (२३)
EN English Translation
The agnis called by the abrasives, at the time when they make words up and down, they reveal their form like the mighty sun. (23)
यो ह॒व्यान्यैर॑यता॒ मनु॑र्हितो दे॒व आ॒सा सु॑ग॒न्धिना॑ । विवा॑सते॒ वार्या॑णि स्वध्व॒रो होता॑ दे॒वो अम॑र्त्यः ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्रजापति मनु द्वारा स्थापित एवं दीप्तिशाली अग्नि अपने सुगंधि वाले मुख द्वारा हमारा हव्य देवों के पास भेजते हैं. शोभनयज्ञ वाले अग्नि यजमान को उत्तम धन देते हैं एवं देवों को बुलाते हैं वे मरणरहित एवं दीप्तिशाली हैं. (२४)
EN English Translation
The agni, set up by Prajapati Manu and the radiant agni, sends our heart to the gods through his scented mouth. The shobnayagnas give the best money to the agni host and call upon the gods, they are without death and radiant. (24)
यद॑ग्ने॒ मर्त्य॒स्त्वं स्याम॒हं मि॑त्रमहो॒ अम॑र्त्यः । सह॑सः सूनवाहुत ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बल के पुत्र, घृतों द्वारा आहूत एवं अनुकूल दीप्ति वाले अग्नि! मैं मरणधर्मा तुम्हारी उपासना से तुम्हारे समान मरणरहित हो जाऊं. (२५)
EN English Translation
O son of strength, the agni called by the abras and the light of the friendly light! May I become as dead as you by your worship of the dead religion. (25)
न त्वा॑ रासीया॒भिश॑स्तये वसो॒ न पा॑प॒त्वाय॑ सन्त्य । न मे॑ स्तो॒ताम॑ती॒वा न दुर्हि॑तः॒ स्याद॑ग्ने॒ न पा॒पया॑ ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वासदाता अग्नि! मैं मिथ्या अपवाद के लिए तुम पर आक्रोश नहीं करूंगा और न पाप के लिए तुम्हारा अपमान करूंगा. मेरा स्तोता भी ऐसा नहीं करेगा. बुद्धिहीन शत्रु बनकर मुझे बाधा न पहुंचावें. (२६)
EN English Translation
O godly agni! I will not outrage you for the false exception nor will I insult you for sin. My stota won't do that either. Don't interrupt me by being a mindless enemy. (26)
पि॒तुर्न पु॒त्रः सुभृ॑तो दुरो॒ण आ दे॒वाँ ए॑तु॒ प्र णो॑ ह॒विः ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
भली प्रकार भरणकर्ता अग्नि हमारे यज्ञगृह में हमारा हवि देवों को इस प्रकार पहुंचावें जिस प्रकार पुत्र पिता की सेवा करता है. (२७)
EN English Translation
May the well-to-do agni deliver our happiness to the gods in our sacrificial house in such a way that the Son serves the Father. (27)
तवा॒हम॑ग्न ऊ॒तिभि॒र्नेदि॑ष्ठाभिः सचेय॒ जोष॒मा व॑सो । सदा॑ दे॒वस्य॒ मर्त्यः॑ ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वासदाता अग्नि! तुम्हारे समीपवर्ती रक्षासाधनों द्वारा मैं मनुष्य सदा तुम्हारी प्रसन्नता पाने के लिए सेवा करूं. (२८)
EN English Translation
O godly agni! I man may serve to find your happiness forever by means of the defenses near you. (28)
तव॒ क्रत्वा॑ सनेयं॒ तव॑ रा॒तिभि॒रग्ने॒ तव॒ प्रश॑स्तिभिः । त्वामिदा॑हुः॒ प्रम॑तिं वसो॒ ममाग्ने॒ हर्ष॑स्व॒ दात॑वे ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम्हारी परिचर्यारूपी कर्म द्वारा मैं तुम्हारी सेवा करूंगा. तुम्हें हव्य देकर एवं तुम्हारी प्रशंसा करके मैं तुम्हारी सेवा करूंगा. हे वासदाता अग्नि! ब्रहमवादी तुम्हें मेरा उत्तमबुद्धिरक्षक कहते हैं. हे अग्नि! दान के लिए प्रसन्न बनो. (२९)
EN English Translation
O agni! I will serve you by your care deeds. I will serve you by giving you a greeting and praising you. O godly agni! The Brahmists call you my best-wise protector. O agni! Be pleased for charity. (29)
प्र सो अ॑ग्ने॒ तवो॒तिभिः॑ सु॒वीरा॑भिस्तिरते॒ वाज॑भर्मभिः । यस्य॒ त्वं स॒ख्यमा॒वरः॑ ॥ (३०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम जिस यजमान की मित्रता स्वीकार करते हो, वह तुम्हारे शोभन पुत्रों से युक्त रक्षाओं द्वारा वृद्धि पाता है. (३०)

O agni! The host whose friendship you accept is enhanced by the defenses of your adorned sons. (30)
