ह॒विष्कृ॑णुध्व॒मा ग॑मदध्व॒र्युर्व॑नते॒ पुनः॑ । वि॒द्वाँ अ॑स्य प्र॒शास॑नम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अध्वर्युगण! अग्नि आए हैं. तुम उन्हें शीघ्र हव्य दो. हव्य देना जानने वाले अध्वर्यु यज्ञ की पुनः सेवा करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O teacher! The agni has come. You give them a quick note. Those who know how to give a greeting serve the adhwaryu yajna again. (1)
नि ति॒ग्मम॒भ्यं१॒॑शुं सीद॒द्धोता॑ म॒नावधि॑ । जु॒षा॒णो अ॑स्य स॒ख्यम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
होता तीखी ज्वाला वाले अग्नि की मित्रता यजमान से कराता हुआ अग्नि के पास बैठता है. (२)
EN English Translation
The flame of the flame sits near the agni, befriending the host. (2)
अ॒न्तरि॑च्छन्ति॒ तं जने॑ रु॒द्रं प॒रो म॑नी॒षया॑ । गृ॒भ्णन्ति॑ जि॒ह्वया॑ स॒सम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
होता अपनी बुद्धि के बल से यजमान का मनोरथ पूरा करने के लिए दुःख नष्ट करने वाले अग्नि को सामने स्थापित करना चाहते हैं. होता बाद में अग्नि की स्तुतियां बोलते हुए ग्रहण करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
With the force of your intellect, you want to set up the agni that destroys sorrow to fulfill the host's mind. Would later be accepted by speaking praises of agni. (3)
जा॒म्य॑तीतपे॒ धनु॑र्वयो॒धा अ॑रुह॒द्वन॑म् । दृ॒षदं॑ जि॒ह्वयाव॑धीत् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अन्य देने वाले अग्नि सबसे ऊपर वर्तमान अंतरिक्ष को भी अतिक्रमण कर जाते हैं. अपनी ज्वाला से मेघ का वध करने वाले अग्नि जल को मुक्त करने के लिए ऊपर चढ़ते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Other giving agnis also encroach upon the current space at the top. Those who kill the cloud from their flame climb up to free the agni water. (4)
चर॑न्व॒त्सो रुश॑न्नि॒ह नि॑दा॒तारं॒ न वि॑न्दते । वेति॒ स्तोत॑व अ॒म्ब्य॑म् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बछड़े के समान इधर-उधर घूमने वाले एवं श्वेत रंग वाले अग्नि को इस संसार में रोकने वाला कोई नहीं मिलता, वे स्तोता के स्तोत्रों की कामना करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
There is no one in this world to stop the agni that moves around like a calf and has a white color, they wish for hymns of the hymns. (5)
उ॒तो न्व॑स्य॒ यन्म॒हदश्वा॑व॒द्योज॑नं बृ॒हद् । दा॒मा रथ॑स्य॒ ददृ॑शे ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अंतरिक्ष में आदित्यरूपी अग्नि के रथ में घोड़े जोड़ने का महान् एवं विशाल कार्य दिखाई देता है तथा रथ की रस्सियां दिखाई देती हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
In space, the chariot of Adityarupi Agni sees the great and huge task of adding horses and the ropes of the chariot are visible. (6)
दु॒हन्ति॑ स॒प्तैका॒मुप॒ द्वा पञ्च॑ सृजतः । ती॒र्थे सिन्धो॒रधि॑ स्व॒रे ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शब्द करने वाले सिंधु तट पर सात ऋत्विज् जल का दोहन करते हैं. इन में भी दो शेष पांच को प्रयुक्त करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
The wordgoers exploit the seven ritwij water on the Indus coast. In these also use the two remaining five. (7)
आ द॒शभि॑र्वि॒वस्व॑त॒ इन्द्रः॒ कोश॑मचुच्यवीत् । खेद॑या त्रि॒वृता॑ दि॒वः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यजमान ने दस उंगलियों द्वारा इंद्र से याचना की. इंद्र ने आकाश में तीन प्रकार की किरणों द्वारा मेघ से जल टपकाया. (८)
EN English Translation
The host begged Indra with ten fingers. Indra poured water from the cloud through three kinds of rays in the sky. (8)
परि॑ त्रि॒धातु॑रध्व॒रं जू॒र्णिरे॑ति॒ नवी॑यसी । मध्वा॒ होता॑रो अञ्जते ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तीन रंगों वाले एवं वेगवान् अग्नि अपनी नवीन ज्वाला के साथ यज्ञ में जाते हैं. अध्वर्यु आदि घी एवं मधु से उसकी पूजा करते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
The three-coloured and vegetative agni go to the yagna with their new flame. Adhwaryu etc. worship him with ghee and honey. (9)
सि॒ञ्चन्ति॒ नम॑साव॒तमु॒च्चाच॑क्रं॒ परि॑ज्मानम् । नी॒चीन॑बार॒मक्षि॑तम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अध्वर्यु नमस्कार के द्वारा अवनत, ऊपर स्थित चक्र वाले, सब ओर व्याप्त, नीचे की ओर द्वार वाले एवं अक्षीण अग्नि को सींचते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
The adhavaryu salutations irrigate the agni incarnated, with a chakra on the top, pervading all sides, with a downward doorway and an intact agni. (10)
अ॒भ्यार॒मिदद्र॑यो॒ निषि॑क्तं॒ पुष्क॑रे॒ मधु॑ । अ॒व॒तस्य॑ वि॒सर्ज॑ने ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आदर करते हुए अध्वर्युगण समीपवर्ती एवं रक्षक अग्नि के विसर्जन के समय विशालपात्र में मधु सिक्त करते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
In a respectful manner, the adhikaras moisten the honey in the giant vessel at the time of immersion of the adjacent and guarding agni. (11)
गाव॒ उपा॑वताव॒तं म॒ही य॒ज्ञस्य॑ र॒प्सुदा॑ । उ॒भा कर्णा॑ हिर॒ण्यया॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे गायो! यज्ञ के लिए दोहन के समय तुम रक्षक अग्नि के पास जाओ. अग्नि के दोनों कान सोने के हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Hey, sing! At the time of tapping for the yajna you go to the protector agni. Both ears of agni are gold. (12)
आ सु॒ते सि॑ञ्चत॒ श्रियं॒ रोद॑स्योरभि॒श्रिय॑म् । र॒सा द॑धीत वृष॒भम् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अध्वर्युगण! दूध दुह लेने के बाद द्यावा-पृथिवी पर आश्रित दूध को सींचो. इसके बाद बकरी के दूध में अग्नि को स्थापित करो. (१३)
EN English Translation
O teacher! After milking the milk, irrigate the milk that is dependent on the earth.. After this install the agni in the goat's milk. (13)
ते जा॑नत॒ स्वमो॒क्यं१॒॑ सं व॒त्सासो॒ न मा॒तृभिः॑ । मि॒थो न॑सन्त जा॒मिभिः॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गायों ने अपने निवासदाता अग्नि को जाना. बछड़े जिस प्रकार अपनी माताओं से मिलते हैं, उसी प्रकार गाएं अपने साथ की दूसरी गायों को लेकर अग्नि से मिलती हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
The cows know their inhabitants agni. Just as calves meet their mothers, so do they sing with the agni with the other cows with them. (14)
उप॒ स्रक्वे॑षु॒ बप्स॑तः कृण्व॒ते ध॒रुणं॑ दि॒वि । इन्द्रे॑ अ॒ग्ना नमः॒ स्वः॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ज्वाला के द्वारा भक्षण करने वाले अग्नि का अन्न अंतरिक्ष में इंद्र और अग्नि का पोषण करता है. इंद्र एवं अग्नि को हव्य अन्न दो. (१५)
EN English Translation
The grain of agni that feeds through flame nourishes Indra and agni in space. Give the food to Indra and Agni. (15)
अधु॑क्षत्पि॒प्युषी॒मिष॒मूर्जं॑ स॒प्तप॑दीम॒रिः । सूर्य॑स्य स॒प्त र॒श्मिभिः॑ ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अध्वर्यु वायु एवं गतिशील माध्यमिकी वाकू के द्वारा सूर्य की सात किरणों से बढ़े हुए अन्न एवं रस को दुहते हैं. (१६)
EN English Translation
The audravarus milk the increased food and juice from the sun's seven rays through the wind and the dynamic secondary vaku. (16)
सोम॑स्य मित्रावरु॒णोदि॑ता॒ सूर॒ आ द॑दे । तदातु॑रस्य भेष॒जम् ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र व वरुण! निकल आने पर सूर्य सोमरस ग्रहण करते हैं. वह ग्रहण हम बीमारों की दवा है. (१७)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! When it comes out, the sun eclipses the somras. He assumes we have the medicine of the sick. (17)
उ॒तो न्व॑स्य॒ यत्प॒दं ह॑र्य॒तस्य॑ निधा॒न्य॑म् । परि॒ द्यां जि॒ह्वया॑तनत् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस देने वाले मुझ हर्यत ऋषि का स्थान हव्य रखने योग्य है. वहां बैठकर अग्नि अपनी ज्वाला से ्युलोक को भरते हैं. (१८)
EN English Translation
The place of the sage who gave me the somras is worth keeping the havya. Sitting there, the agni fills the yolok with its flame. (18)
