पु॒रो॒ळाशं॑ नो॒ अन्ध॑स॒ इन्द्र॑ स॒हस्र॒मा भ॑र । श॒ता च॑ शूर॒ गोना॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारे दिए हुए पुरोडाश अन्न को स्वीकृत करके हमें सौ और हजार गाएं दो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Accept our given purodash food and give us a hundred and a thousand songs. (1)
आ नो॑ भर॒ व्यञ्ज॑नं॒ गामश्व॑म॒भ्यञ्ज॑नम् । सचा॑ म॒ना हि॑र॒ण्यया॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमें सोने के मनोहर अलंकारों के साथ गाएं, घोड़े और तेल दो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Sing us with beautiful ornaments of gold, give horses and oil. (2)
उ॒त नः॑ कर्ण॒शोभ॑ना पु॒रूणि॑ धृष्ण॒वा भ॑र । त्वं हि शृ॑ण्वि॒षे व॑सो ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुओं को नष्ट करने वाले एवं निवासस्थान देने वाले इंद्र! हमने तुम्हारा यश सुना है. बुम हमें बहुत से कान के गहने दो. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra, who destroys the enemies and gives them abodes! We have heard your praise. Bum give us lots of ear jewelry. (3)
नकीं॑ वृधी॒क इ॑न्द्र ते॒ न सु॒षा न सु॒दा उ॒त । नान्यस्त्वच्छू॑र वा॒घतः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शूर इंद्र! तुम्हारे अतिरिक्त कोई भी बढ़ाने वाला नहीं है. तुम्हारे अतिरिक्त कोई भी संग्राम में सहायता करने वाला एवं उत्तम दाता नहीं है. तुम्हारे अतिरिक्त यजमान का कोई इंद्र नहीं है. (४)
EN English Translation
O Shur Indra! None of your additions is going to increase. Apart from you, there is no one to help and give good in the struggle. There is no Indra of the host other than you. (4)
नकी॒मिन्द्रो॒ निक॑र्तवे॒ न श॒क्रः परि॑शक्तवे । विश्वं॑ शृणोति॒ पश्य॑ति ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शक्तिशाली इंद्र किसी का न तिरस्कार करते हैं और न किसी से पराजित हो सकते हैं. इंद्र संसार को सुनते और देखते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
The mighty Indra does not despise anyone and cannot be defeated by anyone. Indra hears and sees the world. (5)
स म॒न्युं मर्त्या॑ना॒मद॑ब्धो॒ नि चि॑कीषते । पु॒रा नि॒दश्चि॑कीषते ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अपराजेय इंद्र किसी के भी प्रति मन में क्रोध नहीं करते. इंद्र निंदा के पूर्व मन में निंदा को स्थान नहीं देते. (६)
EN English Translation
The unbeatable Indra does not get angry in his mind towards anyone. Indra does not give place to condemnation in the mind before the condemnation. (6)
क्रत्व॒ इत्पू॒र्णमु॒दरं॑ तु॒रस्या॑स्ति विध॒तः । वृ॒त्र॒घ्नः सो॑म॒पाव्नः॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शीघ्रता करने वाले, वृत्रनाशक एवं सोमरस पीने वाले इंद्र का उदर यजमान के यज्ञ से ही पूर्ण है. (७)
EN English Translation
The abdomen of Indra, who is quick, anti-virtuous and drinking somras, is full of the yajna of the host. (7)
त्वे वसू॑नि॒ संग॑ता॒ विश्वा॑ च सोम॒ सौभ॑गा । सु॒दात्वप॑रिह्वृता ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोमरस पीने वाले इंद्र! हमारे अभिलषित पदार्थ तुम्हारे पास एकत्र हैं. तुम में सभी सौभाग्य मिलित हैं. तुम्हारे शोभन दान कुटिलतारहित होते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra, who drinks somerus! Our desired substances are collected with you. You have got all the good fortune in you. Your graceful donations are devoid of deviousness. (8)
त्वामिद्य॑व॒युर्मम॒ कामो॑ ग॒व्युर्हि॑रण्य॒युः । त्वाम॑श्व॒युरेष॑ते ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! मेरा मन जौ, गाय, सोने और घोड़े का अभिलाषी बनकर तुम्हारे समीप जाता है. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! My mind comes close to you as a desire for barley, cow, gold and horse. (9)
तवेदि॑न्द्रा॒हमा॒शसा॒ हस्ते॒ दात्रं॑ च॒ना द॑दे । दि॒नस्य॑ वा मघव॒न्सम्भृ॑तस्य वा पू॒र्धि यव॑स्य का॒शिना॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारी आशा करके ही मैं हाथ में दरांत धारण करता हूं. तुम पहले दिन काटे और साफ किए जौ से मेरी मुट्ठी पूरी करो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! It is only by hoping for you that I hold a sickle in my hand. You cut the first day and complete my fist with cleaned barley. (10)
