ना॒ना॒नं वा उ॑ नो॒ धियो॒ वि व्र॒तानि॒ जना॑नाम् । तक्षा॑ रि॒ष्टं रु॒तं भि॒षग्ब्र॒ह्मा सु॒न्वन्त॑मिच्छ॒तीन्द्रा॑येन्दो॒ परि॑ स्रव ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! हमारे तथा अन्य लोगों के कर्म विविध प्रकार के होते हैं. बढ़ई लकड़ी काटना चाहता है, वैद्य रोग की चिकित्सा करना चाहता है एवं ब्राह्मण सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले यजमान को चाहता है. हे सोम! तुम इंद्र के लिए रस बहाओ. (१)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Our and other people's actions are of different kinds. The carpenter wants to cut wood, the physician wants to cure the disease and the Brahmin wants the host to squeeze the somras. Hey Mon! You shed the juice for Indra. (1)
जर॑तीभि॒रोष॑धीभिः प॒र्णेभिः॑ शकु॒नाना॑म् । का॒र्मा॒रो अश्म॑भि॒र्द्युभि॒र्हिर॑ण्यवन्तमिच्छ॒तीन्द्रा॑येन्दो॒ परि॑ स्रव ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पुरानी लकड़ियों एवं पक्षियों के पंखों को शिलाओं द्वारा घिसकर बाण बनाए जाते हैं. कारीगर बाण बेचने के लिए धनी लोगों को खोजते हैं. हे सोम! तुम इंद्र के लिए अपना रस नीचे गिराओ. (२)
EN English Translation
The wings of old wood and birds are worn by the rocks to form arrows. Artisans search for wealthy people to sell arrows. Hey Mon! You drop your juice down to Indra. (2)
का॒रुर॒हं त॒तो भि॒षगु॑पलप्र॒क्षिणी॑ न॒ना । नाना॑धियो वसू॒यवोऽनु॒ गा इ॑व तस्थि॒मेन्द्रा॑येन्दो॒ परि॑ स्रव ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं स्तोता हूं, मेरा पुत्र वैद्य है और मेरी पुत्री कंडों पर जौ भूनने वाली है. जिस प्रकार गाएं गोशाला में अलग-अलग घूमती हैं, उसी प्रकार हम सब धन की इच्छा से अलग-अलग काम करते हैं. हे सोम! तुम इंद्र के लिए रस गिराओ. (३)
EN English Translation
I'm a stota, my son is a physician, and my daughter is about to fry barley on the fire. Just as cows move around in the goshala, so we all do different things with the desire for money. Hey Som! You drop the Rasa for Indra. (3)
अश्वो॒ वोळ्हा॑ सु॒खं रथं॑ हस॒नामु॑पम॒न्त्रिणः॑ । शेपो॒ रोम॑ण्वन्तौ भे॒दौ वारिन्म॒ण्डूक॑ इच्छ॒तीन्द्रा॑येन्दो॒ परि॑ स्रव ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मंजिल पर पहुंचने वाला कल्याणकारी घोड़ा एवं दरबारी लोग हंसी-मजाक की इच्छा करते हैं. पुरुष जननेंद्रिय जिस प्रकार रोम वाला छेद चाहती है एवं मेंढक जल चाहता है, उसी प्रकार मैं सोम की इच्छा करता हूं. हे सोम! तुम इंद्र के लिए अपना रस बरसाओ. (४)
EN English Translation
The welfare horse and courtiers who reach the floor want to laugh. Just as the male genitals want a hole in rome and the frog wants water, so I want som. Hey Mon! You shower your juice for Indra. (4)
