सोमा॑ असृग्रमा॒शवो॒ मधो॒र्मद॑स्य॒ धार॑या । अ॒भि विश्वा॑नि॒ काव्या॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शीघ्र चलने वाले सोम नशीले रस की मधुर धारा के साथ सभी स्तुतियों को सुनकर प्रकट होते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The soon-to-be-run mon appears listening to all the praises with a sweet stream of intoxicating juice. (1)
अनु॑ प्र॒त्नास॑ आ॒यवः॑ प॒दं नवी॑यो अक्रमुः । रु॒चे ज॑नन्त॒ सूर्य॑म् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अश्व के समान शीघ्रगामी एवं प्राचीन सोमों ने सूर्य को दीप्त करने के लिए नवीन स्थान पर गमन किया है. (२)
EN English Translation
The early and ancient somas like the horse have moved to a new place to illuminate the sun. (2)
आ प॑वमान नो भरा॒र्यो अदा॑शुषो॒ गय॑म् । कृ॒धि प्र॒जाव॑ती॒रिषः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पवमान सोम! तुम दान न करने वाले शत्रु का धनपूर्ण घर हमें दो तथा हमें संतान वाले अन्न से युक्त बनाओ. (३)
EN English Translation
O Pawman Mon! Give us the rich house of the unspoken enemy and make us with grain with children. (3)
अ॒भि सोमा॑स आ॒यवः॒ पव॑न्ते॒ मद्यं॒ मद॑म् । अ॒भि कोशं॑ मधु॒श्चुत॑म् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गतिशील सोम नशीला रस तथा रस टपकाने वाले कोश क्षरित करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Dynamic som intoxicating juices and juice dripping shells are washed. (4)
सोमो॑ अर्षति धर्ण॒सिर्दधा॑न इन्द्रि॒यं रस॑म् । सु॒वीरो॑ अभिशस्ति॒पाः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम विश्व को धारण करने वाले, इंद्रियों की वृद्धि करने वाले, रस धारण करने वाले, शोभन शक्ति से युक्त एवं हिंसा से बचाने वाले हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Soma is the one who holds the world, the enhancer of the senses, the one who possesses the juices, the one who possesses the power of adornment and the protector of violence. (5)
इन्द्रा॑य सोम पवसे दे॒वेभ्यः॑ सध॒माद्यः॑ । इन्दो॒ वाजं॑ सिषाससि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यज्ञ के पात्र सोम! तुम इंद्र एवं अन्य देवों के लिए रस टपकाते हो एवं हमें अन्न देने की अभिलाषा करते हो. (६)
EN English Translation
O Yama, the character of the yajna! You pour out juice for Indra and other gods and wish to give us food. (6)
अ॒स्य पी॒त्वा मदा॑ना॒मिन्द्रो॑ वृ॒त्राण्य॑प्र॒ति । ज॒घान॑ ज॒घन॑च्च॒ नु ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इस अतिशय नशीले सोम को पीकर अनाक्रांत इंद्र ने शत्रुओं को पहले मारा और अब भी मारते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
By drinking this highly intoxicating Som, Anakrant Indra killed the enemies first and still kills them. (7)
