स प॑वस्व॒ मदा॑य॒ कं नृ॒चक्षा॑ दे॒ववी॑तये । इन्द॒विन्द्रा॑य पी॒तये॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे नेताओं को देखने वाले सोम! तुम यज्ञ की पूर्ति एवं इंद्र के पीने के बाद मद तथा सुख के लिए टपको. (१)
EN English Translation
O Mon who sees the leaders! You should pour out the fulfillment of the yajna and after indra's drinking, for the item and happiness. (1)
स नो॑ अर्षा॒भि दू॒त्यं१॒॑ त्वमिन्द्रा॑य तोशसे । दे॒वान्सखि॑भ्य॒ आ वर॑म् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम हमारे दूत बनो. तुम इंद्र के पीने के लिए हो. तुम देवों से हमारे लिए प्रिय धन मांगो. (२)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You be our messenger. You're to drink indra's. You ask the gods for the riches dear to us. (2)
उ॒त त्वाम॑रु॒णं व॒यं गोभि॑रञ्ज्मो॒ मदा॑य॒ कम् । वि नो॑ रा॒ये दुरो॑ वृधि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे लाल रंग वाले सोम! हम नशे के लिए तुम्हें गायों के दूध से शुद्ध करते हैं. तुम हमारे लिए धन के द्वार खोलो. (३)
EN English Translation
O red colored Mon! We make you cleanse with the milk of cows for intoxication. You open the doors of wealth for us. (3)
अत्यू॑ प॒वित्र॑मक्रमीद्वा॒जी धुरं॒ न याम॑नि । इन्दु॑र्दे॒वेषु॑ पत्यते ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार चलते समय घोड़ा रथ के जुए से आगे निकल जाता है, उसी प्रकार सोम दशापवित्र को लांघकर देवों के पास जाते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Just as the horse overtakes the yoke of the chariot while walking, so som goes to the devas by crossing the dashapavitra. (4)
समी॒ सखा॑यो अस्वर॒न्वने॒ क्रीळ॑न्त॒मत्य॑विम् । इन्दुं॑ ना॒वा अ॑नूषत ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
भेड़ के बालों से बने दशापवित्र को पार करके जल में क्रीड़ा करने वाले इस सोम की स्तुति स्तोताबंधु भली प्रकार करते हैं तथा वचनों द्वारा सोम के गुणों का वर्णन करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
The Stotabandhu, who crossed the Dasapavittra made of sheep's hair and played in the water, is well praised by The Stotabandhu and describes the qualities of Som through the words. (5)
तया॑ पवस्व॒ धार॑या॒ यया॑ पी॒तो वि॒चक्ष॑से । इन्दो॑ स्तो॒त्रे सु॒वीर्य॑म् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! जिस रसधारा को पीने वाले चतुर स्तोता को तुम शोभन वीर्य प्रदान करते हो, उसी धारा से नीचे बहो. (६)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Flow down the stream of rasadhara to which you provide the semen to the clever hymn that you drink. (6)
