सोमा असृग्रमिन्दवः सुता ऋतस्य धारया । इन्द्राय मधुमत्तमाः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप अग्रगामी व मधुरतम हैं. आप को ऋत् की धारा के साथ इंद्र के लिए प्रस्तुत किया जाता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are the forerunner and the sweetest. You are presented to Indra with the stream of Rita. (1)
अभि विप्रा अनूषत गावो वत्सं न धेनवः । इन्द्रँ सोमस्य पीतये ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! आप सोमरस पीने के लिए इंद्र से स्तुतियों के साथ अनुरोध कीजिए. उन्हें सोम पिलाने के लिए आप उतने ही व्याकुल हो जाइए, जितनी व्याकुल गाएं अपने बछड़ों को दूध पिलाने के लिए हो जाती हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You request Indra with praises to drink someras. To make them drink som, you become as distraught as the distraught cows become to feed their calves. (2)
मदच्युत्क्षेति सादने सिन्धोरूर्मा विपश्चित् । सोमो गौरी अधि श्रितः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप मद चुआते हैं. आप यज्ञ गृह में स्थापित किए गए हैं. आप सिंधु स्वरूप हैं. आप सिंधु की लहरों की तरह वाणी को लहरा देते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You chew the item. You have been installed in the yagna griha. You are the Indus form. You wave the voice like the waves of the Indus. (3)
दिवो नाभा विचक्षणोऽव्यो वारे महीयते । सोमो यः सुक्रतुः कविः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप श्रेष्ठ कर्मो वाले, कवि, स्वर्गलोक की नाभि, विलक्षण और महान हैं. आप जल में मिल कर महिमाशाली होते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are the one with great deeds, the poet, the navel of heaven, the extraordinary and the great. You are glorious by meeting in water. (4)
यः सोमः कलशेष्वा अन्तः पवित्र आहितः । तमिन्दुः परि षस्वजे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस पवित्र है. जो सोमरस कलश में रखा हुआ है, उस में चंद्रमा के श्रेष्ठ गुणों का वास है. (५)
EN English Translation
Somerus is holy. The someras which is kept in the kalash resides in the best qualities of the moon. (5)
प्र वाचमिन्दुरिष्यति समुद्रस्याधि विष्टपि । जिन्वन्कोशं मधुश्चुतम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस मधु चुआता है. यह आवाज करता हुआ कलश को समुद्र की तरह लबालब भर देता है. (६)
EN English Translation
Someras is Madhu Chuata. It makes a sound and fills the urn like a sea. (6)
नित्यस्तोत्रो वनस्पतिर्धेनामन्तः सबर्दुघाम् । हिन्वानो मानुषा युजा ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप के लिए प्रतिदिन स्तोत्र गाए जाते हैं. आप मनुष्यों को आपस में जोड़ने की कृपा कीजिए. आप वन के स्वामी हैं. आप हमारी अंतरतम से गाई गई स्तुतियों को स्वीकार करने की कृपा कीजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Hymns are sung for you every day. Please connect human beings. You are the owner of the forest. Please accept our innermost praises. (7)
आ पवमान धारय रयिँ सहस्रवर्चसम् । अस्मे इन्दो स्वाभुवम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप पवित्र व सहस्र गुणों से संपन्न हैं. आप हमारे लिए धन धारण कीजिए. आप हमें अपने भवन का अधिकारी बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. (८)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are endowed with sacred and millennial qualities. You hold money for us. Please make us the officials of your building. (8)
अभि प्रिया दिवः कविर्विप्रः स धारया सुतः । सोमो हिन्वे परावति ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप स्वर्गलोक वासी, कवि और ब्राह्मण हैं. आप हमारे प्रिय स्थान (यज्ञ स्थान) की ओर अपनी प्रिय प्रेरणाओं का संचार करते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are a resident of heaven, a poet and a Brahmin. You communicate your beloved inspirations towards our beloved place (yajna sthan). (9)
